How their dad affects Kat and Bianca's choices ... without even trying.

When overprotective Dr. Stratford calls Bianca a flower and Kat a cactus on "10 Things I hate About You ," Kat gets mad. In fact, his thinking she's all work and no play is one reason she lies about going out to see a band. Plus, she really likes that band. Well, and there's Patrick too.

Bianca may be a flower, but she won't let a little thing like being grounded keep her from a party. So now both sisters are out faking it. But Kat's got a better cover story. When Bianca gets busted, she almost rats out Kat and her fake ID. But then ... she just. Can't. Do. It.

Kat can, though. Whether it's the anti-cactus in her or sympathy for her sister, she confesses everything to dad. Awww. Even this tough girl has a soft spot. Or two.
