patrick swayze: the time of his life
Posted Wed, 12/24/2008 - 00:40 — 25 Days of Chri...Join us for a Patrick Swayze lovefest, won't you?
He swept us off our feet in "Dirty Dancing." He actually made pottery look sexy in "Ghost." And he proved that, with the right attitude — and eyeliner — anything is possible in "To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything! Julie Newmar."
Now, in "Christmas in Wonderland," he plays a dutiful dad. Next he stars as an unconventional (read: troublemaking) FBI agent in the upcoming series "The Beast."
To think it all started with a role as Prince Charming in Disney on Parade. Is there anything Patrick can't do?
We'd like to think there isn't.
What's your fave Patrick Swayze movie?

RIP Patrick Swayze. Your legacy as an actor will be cherished forever. After a long battle with pancreatic cancer, the actor Patrick Swayze has passed away. He was 57 years of age. Patrick Swayze was diagnosed in 2008 with stage 4 cancer, and it metastasized to his liver. Pancreatic cancer is one of the most aggressive forms, with less than 5% of patients surviving 5 years, most succumbing within 6 months of diagnosis. Swayze leaves behind an intimidating body of work, including smashing successes in blockbuster films, hit TV shows, and even a few highly regarded indie appearances and stage work. He will certainly be sorely missed, and there will be many paycheck loans worth for tributes to Patrick Swayze.
