Happy 1st day of July! July might be my favorite month of the year, partially because of how much I love Independence Day.

I recently received an email from a girl asking me for help breaking up with her boyfriend. I made this video as a tool for her, and anyone in a similar situation. ;)

Normal guys can seem anything but normal when they are on a mission to meet a girl. Here's why you might seem creepy.

I know, I'm totally posting a comment on this video a week late, and it will probably never get read, which is probably why I feel so free to share with the vast internets what I am about to say:

When I was a teenager (not really that long ago... like, 5 yea - omg, it's been that long since I've been in the teens?) and I was riding in a car with friends, my mind would immediately jump to all the ways I could die right then. Cause, you know, that's how all the stories go. "4 Teens Killed In Tragic Car Accident" You know you've seen those kinds of things. So every time good times were happening, I thought, "I will maybe die right now in a tragic series of events I have no control over." It didn't really make me behave any differently.

I'm just not so sure that I'm in favor of the Shower Nazi. I mean, I think water conservation is a good thing, but knowing how dirty and stinky my tweens get, when they want to take a shower, I'm too grateful to time them! Nothing beats the peace of mind (or peace of nose) that one gets from having a freshly clean child. Shower away, kid!

As far as Independence Day goes, my mom was born on July 4th, so when she was little, she thought the fireworks were part of her birthday celebration.

Brigitte - - First editorial note: In this installment, at timing mark 1:24, your legs and feet look far away enough to have been detached from your body. (...and oh, boy, can I identify!) Ah, well... let's here it for webcam optics!

Second editorial note: The close up on the definition of independence is TOO close. Can't read all of it.

I can't think of anything to say other than great video Brigitte.

I also love independence day. I love the parties, the weather, the fireworks, the watermelon, the barbeque and being with family and friends. I'm planning on buying a few firecrackers that I will light on Independence day. Actually, I'm ready to leave work now. Big smile

I also think about how fortunate I am to live in this wonderful country. After watching the news the last few weeks I know there are many people who are not as fortunate.

Brigitte I imagine you celebrating your 4th of July with your favorite cupcake with a lit sparkler in the middle.

Well, it was said that "Only the good die young." so I knew I was gonna skate on that one. I can see how a family might need to conserve water, especially hot water. A reasonable alternative to the Shower Nazi is simply a suction-backed kitchen timer and a family agreement that everyone (not just teens) abide by it. A hug is a nice reward for beating the timer.
I skated on the shower-timer, too, due to my strongly held belief that soap and water weakens a person. WE

Yeah, I remember (as a teen) thinking that I would die young. I think it's just part of the angst thing, and the reason the scientists were surprised was because noone ever asked the question before...I think if they'd have asked any of the past 3 or 4 generations, they'd have gotten the same answer...
