I think you're hair looks great!
As natural selection works to give us Thumbsters an evolutionary advantage, the most advanced among us will be all thumbs - and saying, "I'm all thumbs today!" will be not humility, but hubris. Life sure is weird.

To be honest, I don't know why they even came up with the texting technology. Doesn't the telephone communicate more by conveying the context of vocal inflection?
I don't use the doorbell. I just stand outside underneath the window and shout "STELLA!!!!"
Perhaps I should text you to let you know that it's been 184 days since the Great Ankle Injury.
I'm very careful what I do with my thumbs. I could lose any of my other fingers and get along just fine. But if I lost my thumbs I'd be lower on the evolutionary scale than monkeys and chimps. I'd hate to lose a thumb to a tragic doorbell malfunction.
You also have to take into account, most of us "older folk" had to deal with rotary dial phones when growing up, which was easiest with the pointy finger.
The "Thumbs Up" sign goes back to Roman Gladiator days, to signal if a defeated gladiator should live or die... or at least, that's what the movies say.....
I can't even remember the last time I used a doorbell. Whenever I go to visit friends/family/etc... I go in through the back or side entrance of their house. No one puts doorbells there, so I end up knocking. I guess the level of your relationship with someone can be judged by which entrance you use to enter their home. If you're pressing the doorbell at the front of their house, you're not that close. Use the side or backdoor and you're close. If you just walk in then you're really close. Or you're really rude and were never taught any manners. You might have even been raised by wolves.
Well, I'm completely off topic. Sorry about that.
PS. The screen shot for this video of Brigitte giving the thumbs up is great.

What's the music at the beginning, it's got an awesome beat.
As for "your generation"... which one is that exactly? I would have thought I considered myself a peer.... but I am now feeling old, haha... texting is the only thing I use my thumbs for!
I have to say tho, far too much "serious" conversations go on in texting than should... far too much misunderstanding I've seen.
I use my pointer to ring bells... guess I don't text as much as I thought!
A lobster! My random glass is almost full to the brim with that one
