So what do 'Gilmore Girls' and 'Ugly Betty' have in common? A lot of smart, snappy dialogue and tongue-in-cheek sass. What else? Two super-talented actors who are teaming up on a decidedly darker project. David Sutcliffe (Rory's dad) is one of the leads in 'Towards Darkness' (rated R), a Spanish-language thriller executive-produced by and starring 'Ugly Betty' lead America Ferrera. Tony Plana (Ignacio on 'Betty') plays a Colombian bank manager who has just 90 minutes to save his kidnapped son (played by Roberto Urbino). This harrowing drama sounds intense and exciting!
