q&a with dilshad vadsaria
Posted Wed, 11/04/2009 - 10:28 — GreekHere's the best of our Viewing Party chat with Dilshad, aka Rebecca on "Greek."
When Dilshad Vadsaria joined our "Greek" Celebrity Lounge Viewing Party, fans wanted to know about her acting, the show, the cast, and how she keeps herself looking so good. Get to know the woman behind the character in this fun Q&A.
Dilshad: Hi, this is Dilshad! I play "Rebecca" on Greek. Thanks for watching our show.
On the Set
katiekate26: what's the best part of filming Greek?
Dilshad: To do something I love, and I love to act. And to do that every day is amazing.
NoSheDidnt: Are you similar to your character on the show?
Dilshad: Well, I'd like to think that I am very different from my character. I've developed her from scratch.
DropxCitrus: do you guys like to play pranks on each other during filming? Just wondering
Dilshad: Yes, and Paul James is notorious for starting all of it.
hoya0505: Who is the funniest on set that cracks everyone up
Dilshad: I'd have to say all of us -- with the hair and makeup people, too.
luvzcappietau: How did you like Jesse McCartney on the show?
Dilshad: I didn't get to work with him, and we didn't shoot on the same days. The times that I saw him, he was really nice.
hoya0505: Is it fun being a part of such a young cast?
Dilshad: Yes, because we started on the same foot and we've all grown and learned together. It's been a great experience.
On the Show
luvzcappietau: Do you think Cappie and Casey belong together?
Dilshad: Hmmm, from everything we've seen thus far, one would think that they are the obvious match. But I wonder if they've grown apart ...
DanceOff55: Dilshad, of all the episodes of Greek, are there any that stand out as being particularly memorable from an acting perspective?
Dilshad: Probably the parents episode, because you got to see Rebecca in a different light.
Luvzcappietau: Do you think Rebecca did the right choice by choosing ZBZ?
Dilshad: Yes, she has a lot to learn from the girls of ZBZ. ZBZ is the right fit, considering where she comes from and her perspective.
hoya0505: Did you enjoy the turn in your character and your almost lesbian relationship with Robin?
Dilshad: Yes, because I thought that it was a very important storyline to continue. Since there are a lot of young kids out there who might have questions about their thoughts and feelings.
Cgyearwood: If you could pick one character for Rebecca to have more scenes with, who would you choose? (I would pick Dale)
Dilshad: I would say "Dale" because I've never had a scene with him. Our dialogue would be crazy.
Luvzcappietau: Do you think that Fisher is more shady than we want to believe
Dilshad: YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Luvzcappietau: When the show first started, were you rooting for Evan/Casey or Cappie/Casey
Dilshad: I was rooting for Evan and Casey, I think. He did cheat on her ... but no! I am at total conflict with this. But he was really sincere and he really wanted to make it work but he cheated on her. Oh, I don't know!
NoSheDidnt: Evan and Rebecca were getting close this season what do you think will happen with them?
Dilshad: Well, we have a lot in common. We're filming now, and they may be able to explore that common ground. But that's all I'm saying.
On Dilshad
DanceOff55: Dilshad, I think you're a fantastic actress! Besides Greek, what other TV shows do you like to watch?
Dilshad: Thank you very much for the compliment. I watch "House," "Ugly Betty," "Law & Order," and "Friends." I love "Friends."
Lex90069: So what does your name mean?
Dilshad: My means "to bring happiness to the heart or happy heart." It's Persian.
hoya0505: What type of guy do you normally date? Someone like Rusty, Evan, or Cappie?
Dilshad: LOL! Oh my god. A combination of all 3.
NoSheDidnt: What do you do in your spare time? What are your hobbies?
Dilshad: I am a huge bookworm; I love to read. I always have my "Foreign Affairs," which is a monthly pub. I'm in the middle of reading "The Count of Monte Cristo." Just read Michael J. Fox's new book.
DanceOff55: Dilshad, what songs get heavy rotation on your iPod or mp3 player? We're curious about your musical tastes.
Dilshad: I listen to Alejandro Sanz. My iPod is so random. The Black Eyed Peas.
Lex90069: So if you could go back to college, what would be your major?
Dilshad: Theatre, of course.
On Acting
hoya0505: You are an amazing and hot actress. Do you like doing comedy the best?
Dilshad: Um, well I enjoy both, I like the challenges of drama and comedy. Thank you very much!
DropxCitrus: do you prefer method acting or a different approach?
Dilshad: That's a good question. Overall, I love to live in the imaginary life of my character but method does work too.
Aozora: How did you know you wanted to get into the acting business?
Dilshad: It's something I've enjoyed ever since I was little. It was either pursue medicine or something that I love, which is acting.
DropxCitrus: Have you ever been particularly interested in theatre?
Dilshad: That's where I started, so that is always home to me.
luvzcappietau: Did you first audition for Rebecca or someone else?
Dilshad: I auditioned for Ashleigh and then Rebecca.
DanceOff55: Hi Dilshad, what was it like working on NCIS? It must have been a big change from Greek!
Dilshad: It was a huge change. It was really nice. I played "Shakira," and she was way different from Rebecca.
NoSheDidnt: Which actor would you most like to act with in a project?
Dilshad: Meryl Streep, Cate Blanchett, and Daniel Craig.
NoSheDidnt: Are you are working on any acting projects now?
Dilshad: "Greek" for the time being, but I am looking for projects for hiatus. I would like to do a cartoon though.
Luvzcappietau: What kind of Cartoons?
Dilshad: I love all cartoons, I can't pick. I love Pixar ones too. "Toy Story" and "The Incredibles." I love doing voiceovers.
DanceOff55: Dilshad, one of my friends is trying to become a voiceover artist. Since you mentioned working on cartoons, do you have any advice for her?
Dilshad: Be patient, study, and learn how to be free in the booth because when you're on TV, you have to worry about being still and be on your mark. With voiceover, it's liberating.
On Fitness, Food, and Beauty
NoSheDidnt: Hi Dilshad you are very pretty do you have a beauty tip you can share?
Dilshad: Always wash your face, even if you are exhausted. Always get your eyebrows done.
NoSheDidnt: Do you have an exercise regime that you follow?
Dilshad: Cardio, weights, and circuit training.
DanceOff55: Hi Dilshad, exercise is good. And you're obviously in excellent shape. But when you decide to indulge in a special food, what do you like to get?
Dilshad: I love to eat, LOVE! Chocolate, Italian, Greek, Chinese, Middle Eastern, Indian, and on and on and on!
DanceOff55: Dilshad, speaking of food, do you get a chance to cook for yourself? Is there anything special that you like to cook?
Dilshad: Well, I have to be in the mood to cook. Which happens once every 2 months. I can cook "Nihari" -- it's a very spicy Pakistani dish.
NoSheDidnt: What is your favorite type of chocolate?
Dilshad: I am a cheap date. Cadbury bars!
DanceOff55: Dilshad, thanks for the food tip! I'm googling "nihari" now. There's even a wikipedia entry for it.
Dilshad: LOL!
DanceOff55: Dilshad, YOU'RE THE BEST! WE LOVE REBECCA!!!
Dilshad: Thank you so much! It's great to play a character that entertains people. And we're very lucky to have amazing fans like all of you.
Lolyesss: You are really nice to stay even a tiny bit later to answer more questions! I just wanted to thank you, and I hope Rebecca gets plenty of good storylines in S3
Dilshad: Well, thank you very much. I love talking to fans. You might not like Rebecca next season. I'm mad at her.
Aozora: Anything you want to say about the season finale?
Dilshad: Oh, a total cliffhanger and it ends really well and you're going to hate waiting until next season, really.
Aaannnnnd, that's a wrap! Great questions, people. Thanks! And thanks to Dilshad for her time. Got anything else you want to ask her? Type it in the comments field below. We might be able to get another Q&A with her if we get enough good questions.

I don't think cappie and casey will ever break up again they are meant for each other and it took so long to get them together i think they are going to make it work. especially because neither one of them wants to be with anyone else even when they try to be with someone else they end up being drawn back towards each other.
Kirstenroxs!!!
Dilshad we love you and youre awesome, but as a crazy obsessed Casey & Cappie fan, I will like not sleep till January 25th now because of your comment about them growing appart
Please just tell me they won't break up in the chapter???? After 3 1/2 seasons they just cant break up now!!!!!!!!
