Casey's near-death manhole drop is a wake-up call. She's Maxed-out.
He's the perfect guy. But after Casey nearly dies falling into an open manhole, she goes through some massive soul-searching and realizes Max just isn't perfect for her. Of course, it takes a no-holds-barred talking-to from Ashleigh to make Casey see what most of us have known all along.
So Casey goes and bares her heart to the one guy she's always loved ... and Cappie rejects her. What?! As if that's not enough, Casey dumps Max. So now they're all miserable. Max is bitter, Casey's lost ... and so's Cappie. He's sitting out his own party, alone on the roof. Like Ash says to him: "It's the end of the world ... . What are you gonna do?"
We have a whole summer to think about it ... what do YOU think he's gonna do? Do you see why he blew her off? Do you think he's right? Does it even matter? What do you want to see happen when "Greek" returns?

I really loved this season finally, altough i was a little bit dissapointed about the end, i need to know how it goes out with Cappie and Casey. Can´t wait for the nest season ...
For the next season i think there will be a bigger focus on the juniors, like Rusty, Calvin, Dale and so on.
For the seniors i think that Cappie and Casey have fun time being together again and finding out in what mayor they want to graduate, just like Ash and Evan they have a tough time to figure out what they want to be in life. Especially because Evan denied the trustfund of his parents, i guess he will have a hard time, to bring his life in order.Thats why i think all of them will take a fifth year at CRU and of course because the show is too succsessful to shut it down.
Maybe Evan will come together with Rebecca, they seemed to like each other at the homecoming.
Also i hope to see more about the secret society Evan and Cappie joined, a lot of cool stuff could happen there. For Ash i guess comes a new year as president at the zbzs house. Omk could get a new president, to make it more interessting.
Rusty, i think has to rethink his major too, he seemed to lost his way in the last episode, perhaps he will take a break in the relationship with Jordan. And Dale and Calvin i think will be figure out there relationships.
I hope to see a lot of new and old funny grrk stuff in the next season.

That was a great season finale. I absolutely loved it. At first, I was skeptical that Ash was on Team Cappie. But now, I definitely know that she is. She's trying to get them back together. She has really proven that she is Casey's best friend. I already knew that Cappie was going to turn her down thanks to spoilers (abc family: you should really control what gets out). I thought Cappie handled it really well. I mean, she's broken his heart before. What's going to make him think that she's had an epiphany and won't leave him again? My heart goes out to him. I completely respect his "decision". Casey, on the other hand, really should have broken up with Max before she went and professed her love for the Capster. That way, Cappie wouldn't have had Max as an excuse to say no instead of admitting that he can't trust her yet. The break up was great. I loved it! This is coming from a Max hater. I'm so glad that relationship is over. It sucked from day one. In season 3, I'm not expecting Cappie to be Casey's prince charming right away. I mean sure, that'd be great. But, knowing the writers, it won't happen. The writers wrote the finale beatuifully. Sure, I hated the cuddling in bed. But, they wrote the break up wonderfully. I hear we may have some awkwardness between Cappie/Casey/Evan in the next season. That's great! I also love the Cappie/Evan friendship and I hope to see more of it. I'm also a supporter of Evan/Rebecca. I think they know each other better than everybody else except for Cappie. But, they come from the same point of view and they would be cute to watch. All in all, it was one of my favorite episodes and I can't wait until August 31st!

Max is sweet, but not for Casey. Just because he gave up caltech for her, doesn't make them perfect for eachother, she never asked him to give it up. Anyone who thinks Max and Casey are perfect together must not be watching the same show, they're just awkward together, and don't have any chemistry. Cappie and Casey are the soulmates of the show, it's just so obvious.
I really hope that cappie goes to casey and tells her he loves her! They are mean't to be!!!!!!we all know cappie loves her and she loves him! I think Cappie rejected her because he doesn't want to get hurt again! But this time Casey is for real!
This was, by far, the BEST Greek episode to date. When I heard the spoiler that Cappie was going to turn down Casey, I was hoping the episode would be like this. IT WAS AMAZING!!!!! From the closet scene to the end with Ashleigh and Cappie, the entire episode was beyond what I could of asked for. I personally am glad they didn't get them together in the finale. It leaves it wide open for more stuff to happen between them when season 3 starts. I love that they are both single now and can't wait to see what Cappie decides to do. ONLY 10 MORE WEEKS!!!!! August 31st can't come fast enough.
Oh and I just want to say that Spenser and Scott are PERFECT together. Their on screen chemistry is FANTASTIC and Scott was terrific at making you really feel for Cappie. The way he looked in the last scene, God I just wanted to go and comfort Cappie.
Where to start...first i just want to say I LOVE GREEK. Second of all i love Cappie and Casey together. It was sad to see Max and Casey break but we all knew it was going to happen sometime soon. Is Frannie really leaving for good? I like he when GREEK first started but then she became a big B*tch. Rusty and Jordan r so CUTE together. Dale is going to crack soon, i just know it. Happy Clavin kiss Grant need some action lol Evan and Cappie r friends again YEPPIE but something is going to happen to them next season. Ashley and Fisher r SUPER CUTE together i so want him haha. I wonder what next season will have in hold for us. Whats going to happen when Casey, Cappie, Evan and Ashley r suppose to graduate r they going to kick them off the show?, cause if they do the show will go off air. Cappie was being nice to Casey when he said stay with Max is there something wrong with him that he doesnt want to hurt her. Plus he was crying at the end of tonights show. Season 4 starts Auguest 31, and pre-order season 3 on Amazon

I LOVE LOVE LOVE cappie and casey...and i dont really feel bad for max because he gave up cal tec and she didnt want him too and casey has always been in love with cappie but they've both hurt each other too many times so they are scared to try again. max is sweet and all but that is not a reason to be with someone when you are clearly in love with someone else. and yes casey flip flops but a lot of people do before figuring out who and what they really want

It's about time she realized it
I loved this episode! Except for the cliffhanger of course! lol Anyways, I think that Cappie didn't take Casey back this time because he's been hurt so badly in the past. In the past he always believed that he and Casey were meant for each other, so he never truly gave up on her or got over her. Then, when , in his exhaustion induced state, he bared his soul to her and told her that he couldn't move on because no one measured up to her and she just walked out on him, he finally figured out that enough was enough: it was time to move on from Casey Cartwright. But at the same time, Casey realized that Cappie had always been her safety net: he was always the person she turned to when she needed someone, he knew her better than anyone else, he would do anything for her, and... she was still in love with him. Casey was right when she told Max that he is the perfect guy, just not the perfect guy for her. Now, just as Cappie has decided to move on from Casey and really make a valient effort not to be her knight in shining (or tarnished as the case may be) armor and actually manages to make some (though minimal) progress at it, Casey decides she's ready to try again. Of course he's going to balk at the idea. He's already been so hurt by her, and now, if he takes her back, he's setting himself up to be in the same position again this time. I think Casey and Cappie will be together next season, but I don't think it's going to be right away and I don't think it's going to be easy for them when they do. It is going to take Cappie some time to really trust Casey again. Plus, they're still going to have to deal with the outside world, who will all be shocked when they get back together, and may even try to break them apart, but no matter what, I DEFINITELY do NOT think this is the end for Cappie and Casey: they WILL be together again someday.

ted Max. The fact that he gave up such a great oppertunity after just knowing Casey for just a month is completely idiotic. He was just WAY too clingy. I also loved when Max caught Casey and Cappie coming out of the same closet. That was PERFECT. Then, Cappie took the hit, saying that he was hitting on her, and that he hadn't moved on. I personally think that the ''moving on'' part was going to Casey. I mean, I understand why he rejected her. It's just as everyone says, he doesn't want to be hurt again. Casey needed that rejection. I know it's going to cause her to reflect and think about all that she and Cappie have gone through, and she's going to realize how much she's hurt him. I really hope she does.
I really dislike him. He played his role... causing the whole Case/Cap reflection for Case... Now, he needs to butt out. I'm pretty positive he'll be in next season just to add more drama. If CalTech decides to accept him or give him another chance or something... that'll be fine with me. I just want him out of the show.
Second, I loved the finale. Everything was perfect. The whole near-death experience thing with Casey was great, the break-up scene was great, and the ending words were perfect. I, personally, h

If the seniors take a 5th year at the University, it'll be okay, but if they graduate... that'll be sort of impossible.
Anyways... back to Case and Cap. Next season, I really hope that they wait a few episodes, you know, to reflect on everything, and then, they decide to give it a try. If Evan gets another girl, there won't be that much tension, so that can be solved. But what I'm worried about now... is Max. Ew.
Now, a great part of the season finale was the closet scene. Where Casey confessed her love for him. I mean seriously, I would've frozen right then and there. I mean, ALL that time, he's been there for her, waiting for her to realize how much he loves her. Then, as a final attempt to show her this, in their argument, he confesses that to him, ''no other girl in the world compares to you!'' That was a bit sad. It really took its toll on Cap. when he realized that he needed to get over her. That's the main reason why he rejected her. He had already done his share of reflection. He had already known that he was, and I quote: "You'll remember that I'm a childish, lazy, unreliable, unpredictable, unambitious, frat guy that let you down before and that's why we didn't work." He was trying to give her what he thought was best for her by rejecting her. That's exactly how much he loved her.
Jeez... now we have to wait until the 31st to know how everything plays out.
I can't wait.

Max was an awesome guy! I like Cappie too, but Max is different. Casey needs somebody she can rely on and Max is that person! I hope they don't cut Max out next season...he is so gorgeous! I hope Casey realizes what she has lost (with Max)...you know the saying...you don't know what you have until it's gone. Oh, so upsetting! (but could see it coming). Cappie is hot...but a typical college boy. I can't wait to see what happens the next season...just don't want to wait until August! Max...I'm rooting for you!
I think Cappie turned her down because he doens't want to get hurt again. It's like he said "it's just a thought you'll regret" that's what he thought. He didn't want to be with casey for a day just so the nxt day she'll dump him. But after ashleigh told him she broke up with max he realized it was real feelings. they WILL be together the next season.

I agree. I think he turned her down partly because he didn't want to get rejected again and partly because he didn't want to let her down again. Once he gets past these insecurities and learns to trust what he and Casey have, he'll go to her.
OMG! I was very disappointed at the ending of this season. I was yelling at my TV while watching! I loved Casey & Max together
I'm agree with the few others who like them two together that Cappie is a great guy, but Max is AWESOME! He gave up a great school for her, he's cute, sweet, nice, smart. I'd say that she was being a bit selfish. It makes me even more sad that Max's ex-girlfriend DIED... then Casey totally just dumped him! Awwww 
Did you see Rusty's reaction when Max told him that his sister broke up with him?! I hope Rusty figures out how he's gonna boost up that grade of his. Cappie blew off Casey because he felt that Max would be better for her... her future, her life goals, her life succession... and she should have just listened to him!! I really want to know what happens in the new season. I hope it makes me happy, because I was totally not happy with this ending. August seems like an eternity away though!!

sure max is nice but i didnt really like him,,i just felt sorry for him. his girlfriend died and now hes clinging to casey. not going to the college of his choice on a full ride because a girl he knew for a month? seriously.NO..Cappie was just trying to do what was best for casey when he blew her off

I know that eventually Cappie will take Casey back. Hopefully what Ash told him will make him come to his senses sooner rather than later! Like I have kindof said before, Cappie turned her down initially because he doesn't think he deserves her - OR, he thinks she deserves better, that she deserves "perfect," that she deserves Max, not an "unambitous frat boy." He needs to realize that what she really needs is someone who is perfect for HER (which is exactly what Casey told Max). It's hard to believe that a guy like Cappie is so insecure, but there it is. It's like he told Casey in "Tailgate Expectations" - he has always been seeking her approval. Now that he has it, he doesn't trust it. He doesn't trust himself not to let her down and hurt her again. Plus, it was also a matter of pride. She did string him along for awhile, and how would it look if he just took her back at the first sign that she wants him? Especially when she still has a boyfriend! To take her back when she was still with Max would definitely have been a "[filtered word] move". Now that Casey has broken up with Max, I have this to say: Get over it, Cap! Believe in yourself! Man up and go get the girl of your dreams!
Finally, Casey realizes she is supposed to be with Cappie. Hopefully she'll prove to him she is for real. I've missed Cappie/Casey/Evan together. That love triangle was so much more interesting because of the history they had together. The Casey/Max/Cappie triangle was getting boring. Im glad Max is gone. Both Cappie and Evan are more right for Casey than Max was.

Please, falling in a manhole cover makes you rethink your life....lame! Think back to the beginning of this season, she was bound and determined to be someone, focus on what she needed to do now to help her when she graduates. Cappie is the wrong person for that. Not that I don't like him, it's that he will always be the party hound. He may be fun now, but what will his future hold. Casey should have stayed with Max. But now that she's dumped him, where will he go? Gave up Cal Tech for her.....selfish isn't she?

This was a great season finale. All of the characters are at changing point in their lives. First let me say goodbye to the following Max, Frannie and Heath. Now hello to new comer grant. But Casey needs to recover from Max and guys period. She needs to get herself centered. The next season she will be graduating and moving on. Talking about graduating does anyone realize that the next season half of the cast is graduating Evan, Casey, Ashley, and a host of Kappa Tau brothers. I find it interesting that soon the show will focus on Rusty, Calvin and Dale. I thought that it was nice to see Ash help Casey out. I am disappointed in Rusty. I do not believe he is going to conitue to be an honors engineer student for much longer. He is not the Rusty we meet first season, I think this is why him and Jordan will break up. Dale will be a changed man next season. Calvin will become occupied with Grant. It is good to see the characters stepping out of their normal shells and taking risk.
lik none of the soon to be graduates hav really talked about majors so they mite stick around to get some type of major
on one of the spoilers, spencer grammer (casey) and scott foster (cappie) talk about how they're doing the seasons about every quarter (or less) so they can lengthen the show out longer. i hope they do

i have this sneaky little feeling that evan-casey-cappie is gonna be reunited but not the friendship i mean. cappie apologized to evan about casey in the first place but now hes gonna go take her back just when i think evan has finally found the right path aka not his trust fund and franny. itll be interesting, like a flashback to freshman year or something. then theres rebecca, i mean what was up with her and evan that one episode??? theres something going on there. i think next season, cappie and casey will get back together immediately then something will come up (evan? max? idk) and they break up but get together finally in the series finale whenever that is in the waaay future

Ashleigh did a good cliffhanger there and I bet Cappie is gonna realize that he just missed his chance with getting back with the girl he's always loved and he's gonna chase Casey a second Ashleigh tells him that.. maybe so?

Cappie HAS to take Casey back...I think that he realised that she was over Max when she broke up with him regardless of the fact the he turned her down. I hope the new season will pick up exactly where the season finale left off...I would love to see them get back together straight after that scene

Their last semester is coming up! They should at least give it a shot. The only reason I can think of for Cappie rejecting Casey is because he's scared. Their history together is really confusing, and he's probably afraid things wouldn't work between them if they were actually together as opposed to pining for one another. I think after Ashleigh's talkin' to, he's going to come to his senses and go after her. Or at least, I hope he does.
I am TIRED of watching Casey flip-flop between all these guys. What makes her so special anyway? She has bad legs and a concave facial structure.

I agree with paddlemate, that was pretty harsh ack990. Casey (and the actress who plays her) are beautiful. There's no reason to insult her looks just because you don't like what the character is doing on the show. It's mean.

Even though I've been dying for Casey and Cappie to hook up I was happy that he rejected her (hopefully they'll get together next season) because Max is such a sweetheart and she totally screwed him over.
