Missing the hotness that is Matt Dallas? He may be coming up in "Eastwick," a new ABC pilot.

Based on "The Witches of Eastwick," the hit movie and the book by literary lion John Updike, "Eastwick" is about "three women drawn together by a mysterious man who evokes unique and magical superpowers."

Cool! But Matt Dallas is the one who's got us under his spell.

Matt plays Chad, a totally hot guy who's having an affair with an older woman named Roxie. He wants a bigger role in Roxie's life, but he faces some serious competition from a suave gentleman named Darryl Van Horne.

We sense drama, intrigue ... and lots of scenes where Matt takes his shirt off. We do believe in magic! We do! We do!

What do you think about Matt going from playing Kyle to playing somebody who's not so, er, innocent?

:angry: I WANT TO SEE MORE KYLE XY!!! I have watch the show from when the first episode came out, so when i got deployed in September of 2008 i was sad, but was happy when I found out that I could get the shows on itunes. So I watched the third season as it got better better not that the 1st and 2nd season weren't awesome CAUSE THEY WERE!! Then when I got injured over sea, the show kept me from going to crazy. When I return to the State in September of 2009 I was looking for the fourth season to start cause I felt the third had left wanting more, and I didnt why the season was so short. I soon found out that ABC Family had let the show go. I was shocked one of the best shows I had ever seen was gone. that was the only reason i even watch ABC Family at home. Now i dont have a show to watch with Smallville coming to end. I had my hopes up to have Kyle XY as my new show to watch. I was loving it as much as I already love Smallville. so please someone bring back one the best shows of are time.

if you wanna be healthy, look at the back of the food box and see how much calories and to be a super healthy don't watch any thing from ABC family .

Enjoyed the characters he was playing on both "Kyle XY" and "Eastwick". Surprised to see him on "Eastwick" at first, but it was refreshing to see him play a part that wasn't so as one of the "Kyle XY" characters put it "G" rated. Some found his role well not so good, but the reality is that people really are that way when it comes to their relationships and the age differences. As an actor he may not want to get stuck in a role, or become type casted, he most likely would like more flexibility, perhaps his contract wasn't allowing him to pursue other roles.
On the other hand if he really wanted to continue this role he could seek to become a producer himself, like the series "Charmed" did when they found themselves in this situation. Matt may want to take some lessons on this from that cast, make friends with the writers of such TV series and find some different story lines for new episodes. Get the cast together and ask them for ideas on where or what their character may do or pursue, try writing it in. Look to the characters future as to where they would be in 3 to 4 years and write a timeline back to present and then create a story line for that character. Stick to the timeline and benchmarks like it is destiny.

I would have to agree. Eastwick is an okay show, but all in all the acting is horrible, the story line [filtered word], and it's not that exciting. I hate that Kyle XY is gone and I think it was a huge mistake to cancel it. The ABC family people should look this stuff up on the net. There are groups on facebook, myspace, everywhere, surveys, all kinds of stuff, requesting for Kyle XY to come back. That was my favorite TV show and it was the only reason I actually watched ABC family. All their other shows are okay, but Kyle XY was a masterpiece, which needs to be concluded.... if I might add. =/

Most of the shows on ABCFamily haven't fared so well after all the hype made over them after Kyle XY was cancelled. I would check the comments for each program and they were very few if any on most of them. ABCFamily has lost alot of viewers but they don't have the guts to put the best series they ever had back on the air. Matt Dallas and the other cast have moved on and I wish them the best, but it would be great if they could get together just one more time for a 2hr. special to give the fans closure.

I watched the on-line epsiode and noticed that the last scene Matt was in was cut. In the version I saw, 2 of his scenes were included. I still think it is a waste of his talent and as I said on the Julie Plec interview page, his picture wasn't even with the other cast members. ABC isn't known for their smarts and decision making. I think it was just an excuse to not consider renewing Kyle XY by having Matt in the pilot. I hated the premise of the show but loved seeing Matt again. We can only hope for a miracle.

I wasn't impressed at all by "Eastwick" and will be completely truthful when I say I watched it just to see Matt Dallas in action. I had heard he would be cast, but as a boy toy? I was upset his role is so small! His talent totally surpasses this show. I don't think "Eastwick" is very interesting-it was already a movie, and a good one. Although, it was nice to see someone like Rebecca Romijn (sp??) with extra meat on her-I see someone hasn't lost the baby weight yet! I can only pray Kyle XY will return!!

OK I watched Eastwick, as shows go it was Ok, but frankly I don’t know why they even bothered to cast Matt as Roxie’s lover boy, you talk about the under use of a good actor, his part could have been good but all ABC could think of was “shirtless” and the young stud for their resident cougar , I’m disappointed that ABC just can’t see what talent they have right before their eye’s. I hope someone out there will put him in the lead role again and utilize his acting talent, not his sex appeal, even though he has plenty of that even with his shirt on. I noticed in the internet version they cut out 2 of Matt’s scenes anyway, what a waste! ABC if your going to put him in a part, then make it a part where he can actually act. You could have put a newcomer in that part for some introduction into movie making. I’m glad Matt was paid for it but his talent is bigger than that.

On 9/24 cobalt you asked if anyone watched the first episode. First episode of what? If it's Kyle XY, I watch it on DVD every few months. If you talking Eastwick, I'm watching it tonight(recorded) only to see if Matt Dallas is in it. I haven't seen any good reviews on it so far. As for other ABCFamily programs, the comments about them have been practially all 0's. We can only hope!!!

The reviews have not been good at all in fact it is slated to be canceled. Even if it continued it sounds like Matt's character is killed off in the fifth episode anyway. That gives him the ability to come back as Kyle XY.

The ONLY reason I started watching ABC Family channel was because of Kyle XY. I absolutely love the show and without it, frankly there is no reason for me to watch this network. This was a fantastic show and I couldn't wait to see the next episode. It infuriates me that you finally find an excellent family show and once you are completely hooked they dump it. Please, please bring it back.

What a stupid thing to do, like really. They should have thought about that. If you create and amazing show, you have to keep it, getting ride of it is just stupid! I already started a boycott against ABC family, and I took their channel off of my cable by request. Ever member of my family has done the same thing, along with most of my friends. I hope that this company goes down the toilet if they don't bring back Kyle XY. It was the only thing worth watching anyways....

Here's what I think.... I think it means you still have the actor under contract. While you do and before it's too late, please do an ending to Kyle XY. To end the series abruptly on a cliff hanger is WRONG. Think of your fans. We will NOT be receptive to a new show just because you stick that actor in it. It was NOT the actor, it was the character...KYLE XY and we want to know how it ends. If you cannot commit to a whole new season, then do a two hour special.... tie it up. Think of your fans.

For the past week I have sat in front of my computer watching all three seasons of Kyle Xy on hulu. I have to say it was a lot better than I used to think. I seen the first few episodes and then lost track of it because of school. I just want an explaining to why the minute of the show I find out Cassidy is Kyle's brother. You do that then don't renew the show for the next season, What kind of company does that? It shows they don't care about their fans. I feel I wasted my time watching the show because now I don't think we are going to get the answer to all of our questions. I don't want the show to be renewed by SyFy neither because they would focus more on the scientist and Kyle's abilities which wouldn't make it a family show. With having the family issues in their as well as having the Tragger family there is what also makes a big part of the show. I will watch the show if and when it comes back on even if it is just on hulu because it will have the answers to to my questions. Also bringing Matt Dallas into a new show isn't going to help the network because it is just going to make that show fail because he has unfinished business with Kyle XY.

Shows normally are cancelled when I'm no longer interested in them. But I've never been more excited about a show than Kyle XY. I think that the sorry way that ABC Family treats their schedule is the reason of decreased viewership. I think that there is still a huge demand for high quality shows like Kyle XY if we know when and where to watch it. Bring back Kyle XY, I'm still a loyal fan.

Also what kind of ending is this? the Dragers get kidnapped and Kyle finds out Cassidy is his brother and that they a mother!

As it seems ABC Family can postpone this 'eastwick' and let the Kyle XY continue. In my opinion, Eastwick's plot isn't more interesting and exciting than the Kyle XY. Mr. Dallas has this right to choose his roles but the ABCF can respect the viewer's opinions and let the Kyle XY season 4 begin as soon as possible.
