SPOILERS! 'electric kiss'

Ever hear that saying about good intentions? Well, it looks like Kyle may have lost Amanda because he was trying to save her. Or is Amanda right in thinking that Kyle started slipping away the minute Jessi entered the picture on “Kyle XY”? Either way, it looks like Kyle and Amanda are O-V-E-R.
Or are they?
In “Electric Kiss,” Kyle discovers that Latnok put a neural blocker into Amanda’s brain. (Ouch. Talk about a headache.) The only way to destroy it is with a kiss. So, in the interest of science, Kyle practices his “electric kiss” on Jessi — and Amanda catches them in a full-on lip lock. (Whoops!)
Cut to Amanda’s piano recital, and Kyle manages to “cure” her with a kiss ... but it looks like it might be a kiss goodbye.
Did Jessi have an ulterior motive in kissing Kyle, or was it really for science?
Do you think Kyle and Amanda are really over?

I don't like the way Jessi is trying to get to Kyle. It's like she wants him to suffer first and then turn to her for comfort. You could totally tell with the bathroom thing and the kiss (which she showed no remorse). What is that?!

Kyle and Amanda are just really good together.
It would not be the same if he was with Jessi, I just can't see Jessi love anyone like Kyle loves Amanda.
My favourite part of this episode was when Kyle sends so much voltage into Jessi she flies into the wall. Funniest scene ever.
If Kyle and Jessi did get together, it wouldn't work. Wouldn't last.

i believe jessi can do good things but needs to move on and i hope Kyle and Amanda are soul mates just like kyle believes. She is a gorgeous, determined young woman with her head on straight that is meant to be with kyle. A break will help them because "distance makes the heart fonder." i just hope they end up together
no...i dont think amanda and kyle should get back together...please...i want kyle and jessi to have there chance...please dont let amanda ruin it for them...if its over its over because amanda agree to let kyle go...and plus kyle and jessi match more so please please please let them have there chance...
As much as I love the Kyle and Jessi combo, I just can't imagine Kyle with someone whose so self-centered and selfish and arrogant. Jessi will stop at nothing to get her way, even if it means Kyle's happiness. They just don't seem to mesh together, I can see Jessi getting board with Kyle, because he thinks before doing, while Jessi is impulsive and ends up causing more trouble for herself and Kyle, who has to clean up after her. She's a taker, while he's a giver. It wouldn't be an equal measure relationship. Even though they were created the same, they have two strong and different personalities, that I think will eventually clash. They seem better off as friends and the hero and his sidekick image. Amanda's love for Kyle was so strong, so much, that she willingly put her feeling for him ahead of her own. If you love some one you want them to be happy, even if it means letting them go.

this was a very sad episode for me i love kylexy and im a big kyle and amanda fan I agree with nycscififan nycscififan reminds us to have faith we still have a chance ive seen the episode free to be you and me so many times im going to watch it again probably tomorrow but this episode was great but so sad for me for having to see kyle and amanda break up i only cried at a few of the kylexy episodes i wanted to cry at this episode i did a little but i was trying not to and when i was on my way to the website of the secret life of an american teenager i kept thinking about it so i started to cry i hope they get back together kyles a reck without her and kyle still loves amanda and amanda still loves kyle i love seeing kyle smile when i see kyle smile it makes me smile i really hope they get back together soon and i never really thought about the programming about how they programmed her to like kyle please get kyle and amanda back together please

I think that kyle and jessi should get there chance together...i mean kyle and amanda cant feel anything between them...but between kyle and jessi is a connection...and the part when kyle kiss jessi was so super romantic...it look like they both enjoy it...and i think that deep down jessi really likes kyle...and i hope that this season kyle and jessi would finally have there chance to be together...and ever...so GO KYLE AND JESSI...
I just realized - the best "Electric Kiss" was the one Kyle gave Amanda. It was done in love and sorrow, hoping to heal body and soul. Amanda did play better than ever before.
I hope she gets the scholarship and gets away from her mother for college, even though it's nearby.
It would be a well-earned reward.

Last nights episode was soooo good. I'm really happy that Kyle and Amanda are OVER!!
I'm glad that Kyle and Jessi have a chance at a relationship! Go Kessi!!! 
I didn't get to see all of this episode
but i got to see the Jessi/Kyle and Amanda Kyle scenes and I think its good that Kyle and Amanda r taking a break- I luv that couple but i wanna see Kyle with Jessi too! She's his real soulmate, right????

She ROCKED in that whole breakup scene! Excellent, quality acting! (Big smile).
As hurt as she was, and she had a right to be -(who WOULDN'T have been?),--I was amazed that she even let Kyle hold her face at all -and "trust him one more time" after the misery she'd already been through. I couldnt really blame her if should woulda slapped Kyle for the 1st time and told him to "just GET OUT! (Who would --ever--believe that a fairly long kiss was "just a scientific experiment? yea, right). )But--it was Beauuuutifully done! Good job, Kirsten!!! --Watcher50....and also:

It HAS to happen.
Their's is a "match made in heaven!" I know some people on the forum say Amanda is too "goody-goody" but we've seen in season 2.5 and now again in this breakup episode that she can, and will, stand her ground when it matters. Good for her. But even MORE important is her character just "as is". If a guy wants a girl that is MORE than "just one wild weekend"---Amanda is the One! Her sincerity and love is "true blue!" The kind of woman a guy would want "for the real deal", long term! She needs to make no apologies. As I said in the Forum, if Kyle confides in her and tells all...once the trust is re-built, and love mutually re-shown, NOTHING WILL STOP THEM!

this episode was brilliant but so sad. it shows that if amanda and kyle actually get back together they can make it through anything for each other. so hopefully they do get back together. i was really mad how kyle and amanda are not together. if they dont and kyle and jessi get together i will be livid. the only reason i would watch the show would just to wait til kyle and amanda get back together. they are meant for each other. they love each so much. kyle and jessi are more like brother and sister.
I don't like it that Jessi is staying with the Trager's.... It was really funny when she couldn't keep a secret though!!! LOL!!!! That's it for now....
The electric kiss, Amanda at home, Amanda surprising Jessi and Kyle precisely at that moment... both Kyle and Jessi not overhearing Amanda's coming. The coincidence situations are the everyday trap in there. The way Kyle-Amanda nice relationship was broken is only a deja vu, it lacks elegance. There are two things i like most in Kyle XY, these are Kyle being somehow a superhero honest and all, and his success at building a difficult relationship with the cutest pianist. These 2 were broken, he's not being honest when accepting to give a "practice" kiss (even if Amanda was not there to see the disaster), and he wasn't even able to say some truth to Amanda.
May be I'll check summaries on wiki for the next weeks.

The writers need to have Kyle finally tell Amanda the whole truth, this lying stuff is way to Smallville....its annoying lets tell the girlfriend the truth and let her DECIDE god, we all know she wont care, i swear the Kyle and Amanda relationship better be resolved by the end of season 3 or im going to forget to even turn the tv on when season 4 records ><

Agreed. He needs to tell her the truth. Considering his demonstrating his powers to her off and on in season two...it makes no sense for him to have such a huge aversion to telling her everything.
i dont know about yall but i had to go rewatch "free to be you and me" the episode where Amanda asks Kyle to the spring fling. Electric kiss REALLLLLY pissed me off, GOD ive known the writers have been trying to go here, and break them up but GOSH its soo annoying KYLE LOVES AMANDA, why do they have to throw Jessi in here to always screw stuff up

Madacorp wanted to get closer to Kyle so they re-programmed Jessi to like him! Kyle and Amanda should be together!!! They are the perfect couple, there's DEFINITELY a perfect, close connection between the two of them!

This is the saddest episode of Kyle XY i've watched so far. And it really made me cry.
Kyle and Amanda breaking I'm all for it dancing in the street. But we all know it wont last.
Why isn't anyone making an effort to really teach Jessi right from wrong? Or at least to knock before entering a room and lock the door when you're in the bathroom! (The latter was a trap to flash Kyle anyway) Talk about genius with no common sense.
The actors and actresses have all been saying that this season is their best work ever. Kyle was almost sobbing while healing Amanda, knowing that they were breaking up. Great job, Matt. Kirsten was awesome as Amanda, giving Kyle well-deserved grief for being so foolish and stupid. I just wish Amanda had called Kyle's bluff to tell her everything - I think our new viewers would have appreciated that update.
Nicole's made a mistake - Jessi's going to cause far more trouble than Kyle ever did, and not in a good way. (Kyle taught the family to be truthful, caring, and accepting.)
Frankly, I wasn't impressed with Jessi's role last night at all. She didn't do anything cool and SciFi-ish, did she? She just made snarky comments about Amanda and wanting to hurt her. She hooked up the backstage transmitter and suggested a makeout session for science. Wow. Awesome.
As the old saying goes, give a man enough rope and he'll hang himself. Jessi will not find happiness with Kyle because she's a miserable person inside. Until she changes and likes herself, she'll just make everyone around her miserable. Kyle and Jessi grow closer and then Jessi will implode and hurt herself or someone else. Their working together as a superteam is now in jeopardy since she can't see past her unstable emotions.
Predictable and boring. Yawn.
Can't wait for the Kyle and Amanda reunion - it'll be a ways off, but it will be wonderful.

I'm glad Kyle and Amanda are over. I used to like them, but at some point it just got more and more boring. I really like the chemistry between Kyle and Jessi, can't wait to see where this is going!

They better be over! Kyle and Amanda are so annoying, and there is obviously a connection between Kyle and Jessi. I mean they have said more than once that they are 'soul mates' and Kyle just needs to realize that Jessi is the one for him. It also bugs me because it is sooo obvious that Jessi is in love with him, I feel bad for her. I would have knocked Amanda out by now. Hopefully now that Amanda has decided to call it quits with Kyle, Jessi might have a chance with him! :DD

I hope Kyle and Amanda are over, at least long enough for Kyle/Jessi to have a chance. I think Kyle/Jessi have so much chemistry, the connection between them is so intense and while Kyle keeps trying to deny it, Amanda isn't blind. She can feel and see that there is something between them even if Kyle can yet. I think Kyle/Jessi have so much potential and I can't wait for Kyle to finally realize it and that he can't keep denying it. I felt bad for Jessi in the episode because she is really trying, and you can tell she has such deep feelings for Kyle, it has to be so difficult for her. I'm really happy that Kyle and Amanda broke up, honestly I think Kyle/Jessi will be really interesting if we ever get a chance to really see them together. Scenes between Kyle/Jessi is what got me hooked on this show and got me watching it regularly.
I continue to feel for Jessi and I know she is supposed to have a love interest this year and I truly hope it turns out to be Kyle because they deserve to have their chance. People who are meant to be together always find their way in the end and I am hoping that is the case for KJ. But the only way they will know is if they give it a shot and Kyle stops trying to deny what is there between them. I think it's funny that Amanda can see it and feel it, but Kyle can't....I think he is just in denial.
And another thing, the kiss between Kyle and Jessi was so HOT. They have incredible chemistry. Kyle moaned when he kissed her, both their heart rates picked up....they might have kissed to help Amanda but their reactions to kissing each other are a completely different story.
I am really looking forward to the rest of this season. I am hoping this will be the season where Kyle and Jessi finally get their chance.
I agree. Kyle and Amanda should stay together. What I really loved about them was the fact that they were both different. He is a clone, and she's a regular person. It almost has a Clark and Lana thing going on which made it more intriguing to watch. However, I do hope he tells her the whole truth about him
Haven't watched it yet, but either way, drama is as drama does. They've got to go through this mess to get the story told. Killing any of them off, not such a hot idea. Relationships always get tested to see if they're really worth anything. Kyle/Amanda are getting their ship tested for steadfastness. They'll probably break up, for like a week or two, maybe 3, but I'm doubting there will be a permanent separation. Kessi...eh...just because she's built like him doesn't mean they're meant for each other. All it means is that they can empathize with each other. That doesn't guarantee anything.
Here's hoping to an online viewing sooner rather than later. I want to see this episode!

I don't think they should kill Jessi or anything like that and she does need some love cause she been through so much, but i don't think she should be with Kyle. Can't blame Amanda a bit and Kirsten Prout was WONDERFUL tonight. She showed depth of emotion and controlled anger extremely well. You have to side with her - Kyle was being too secretive and Jessi is really twisted. She needs mental help.
Let's start a prayer group for Kyle if that barracuda's gunning for him still.
