Big ups to "Lincoln Heights" for winning best show!
Congrats to the cast and crew of "Lincoln Heights" for winning the 2008 Gabriel Award for Entertainment, National Release TV Show. The awards were presented on October 25 at the historic Millennium Biltmore Hotel in Los Angeles.
We think we speak for everyone when we say, "Wooooooooooo-Hooooooo!" 
The Gabriel Awards are given out by the Catholic Academy for Communication Arts Professionals. They acknowledge TV shows, films, and radio programs that "uplift and nourish the human spirit," "affirm the dignity of human persons," and "recognize and uphold universally-recognized human values such as community, creativity, tolerance, justice, compassion and the dedication to excellence."
Wow, that's a huge honor. (Can we add that it's also just a really awesome show?)

I have to say that was very dissapointed to have seen the last show of the season, i just think that Eddie Sutton (Russell Hornsby) is sooooooo HOTTTT:) i hope there will be more from LH.
I love the show!!! Cant wait until next season!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Russell Hornsby is an awesome actor, handsome man and he plays an excellent father role on the show. Kids need that kind of father or father figure in their lives!!!! Keep doing what you are doing Russell!!!!!
They are truly worthy!!! This show has some of the most appealing storylines. Everytime you watch the show, you feel like you are related to or know the cast. They seem so real and just like everyday people. I believe that is why the show is such a catch!!
I just have to say that this is one of the few shows I look forward to watching every week. Love the natural chemistry b/w the actors...it's quality writing, quality acting & a quality show. Congratulations to everyone on Lincoln Heights! Keep up the good work!

What a well deserved honor. Congrats to everyone involved in the production of LH. They should be very proud of themselves and their work. Lincoln Heights is truly a breath of fresh air.

WOW!!! Lincoln Heights outdid itself this time. And since u won a Gabriel Award, how about a Candace Award for all of the fine females in and behind the scenes of Lincoln Heights of all age groups. (And by "fine" I'm not referring to only their outward appearance)
NCBW platforms its concept of role modeling annually when it selects distinguished Black women from across the nation and presents them a Candace Award. This awards program, which began in 1982, takes place at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. The unique presentation brings to the attention of American people the outstanding Black role models of uncommon distinction who have set a standard of excellence for young people of all races to emulate. In 1992, segments of the program were televised on America's Black Forum (ABC-TV) and on Black Entertainment Network, a cable station.
Candace is the ancient Ethiopian title for empresses and queens and is an appropriate reflection of Black women’s history steeped in greatness. The Candace award is the symbol of the National Coaltion of 100 Black Women which is an advocacy organization that strives to empower Black women seeking to meet their diverse professional goals. The Coalition fosters programs that provide a comprehensive network among professional Black women and establishes links to the civic, corporate and political sectors.

Lincoln Heights really earned this award. Everybody is doing a fabulous job and everyone deserved it. That is so exciting! Yay LH! If i could give and award out i would call it the...Ali Award. The award would be given to people that have made a positive show for people, goes beyond race and religion, unique but everyone can relate to, like me! Lol!

Congrats to everyone at LH for winning the Gabriel Award! It's refreshing to see a show that showcases a family that could be of any persuasion but I'm espcially proud that it's about a African American family!!
