Listen for their song on "Greek," while we shed some light on the Perishers.

Hailing from Sweden, the Perishers got together in 1997. Lead singer-guitarist Ola Kluft, keyboardist Martin Gustafson, bassist Pehr Astrom, and drummer Thomas Hedlund may not be household names in the States yet, but they have a growing fan base across Europe and North America. One of those fans happens to be Sarah McLachlan, who handpicked the band as the opener on her 2005 tour.

But even if you've never heard of the Perishers, chances are you've heard their songs. A lot. They've had tunes featured on "The O.C.," "One Tree Hill," "Veronica Mars," "Kyle XY," and in a promo spot for "Grey's Anatomy." And now you can add "Greek" to the list with "Come Out of the Shade," from their 2007 album, "Victorious."

What else are you dying to know about the Perishers?

They released their debut album, "From Nothing to One," in 2002. The follow-up, "Let There Be Morning," came out in the States in 2005 (almost two years after its debut in Europe). The New York Times called the music on that album, and we quote, "Irresistible." (Big ups!)

While on tour together, Sarah McLachlan sat in every night when the Perishers performed "Pills," helping them to sell nearly 20,000 copies of "Let There Be Morning" after just 10 weeks on the road. In fact, album sales averaged 600 copies a night. (Wow!)

What did the band think of that? "None of us expected that kind of response," says Ola. "The first night of the tour, we actually thought the long line for our signing table was for the restrooms. It was weird, but it definitely boosted our confidence as a band."

We believe that!

Now, what do you say? Do you love the Perishers too?
