Singer Kira Leyden shares more about Ohio, L.A., her style, and "Secret Life."

You've been hearing The Strange Familiar's music on "The Secret Life of The American Teenager," and you may have read about them here too. Last week, the band's singer/co-songwriter Kira talked about music . In the second half of our Q&A, we'll cover more territory.

Speaking of territory, the band moved from Akron, Ohio, to Los Angeles, which must have been quite a change. Let's start with that.

abcfamily.com: What do you miss most about Akron?

Kira: Family and friends are so important to us. It was really difficult to say goodbye to everyone. We have lots of nieces and nephews who have become our little TSF super fans -- so we definitely miss them and all our hometown fans that support us at every show! But apart from family and friends, I miss the changing seasons. Ohio's autumn is gorgeous when the leaves change and the air is crisp. We live in a valley near a national park, and the forest becomes this amazing collage of colors!

abcfamily.com: What's your favorite thing about living in L.A.?

Kira: In-N-Out Burger! Actually, there are a few things. The weather is awesome, and we love taking a guitar with us to the beach. Also, we've already had some super-cool star sightings: Kristen Stewart at the grocery store and Shia LaBeouf at Baja Fresh. (Although I was far too embarrassed to say hi to either of them!)

abcfamily.com: Our fans are into style. How would you describe yours?

Kira: My personal style is all about finding what looks good on me. Something can look awesome on the hanger but look awful when I put it on! I love to mix things up and find pieces that no one else will have. Vintage clothes are my favorite! I like to pair the old with the new -- like our band's name -- I try to combine the strange with the familiar.

abcfamily.com: We know that a lot of your fans finished the title of this song for you, but we want to know: How do you end the sentence "Courage is ..."?

Kira: Courage is ... when you choose love instead of hate, life instead of death, peace instead of violence, faith instead of fear, hope instead of despair, and forgiveness instead of anger.

abcfamily.com: Wow, great answer. So let's talk about "The Secret Life of the American Teenager." Who's your favorite character?

Kira: That's a tough one. But I have to go with Henry. He's such a cool, laid-back character and always cracks me up! We actually met Allen Evangelista [who plays Henry] on the set of our music video for "Courage Is ... ." He was so down-to-earth and such a nice guy! He even helped us out by bringing a few more TSLOTAT cast members to the shoot: Jorge Pallo [Marc Molina], Amy Rider [Alice], and Camille Winbush [Lauren]. They were all very kind, and we really appreciate them being a part of our video!

abcfamily.com: It's so cool when they all come in like that at the end. OK, finally, we just have to ask ... who do you think Amy will end up with?

Kira: I've always thought Ben and Amy will end up together -- just a gut feeling.
