eve nelson does it for 'samurai girl'
Posted Thu, 08/28/2008 - 13:45 — Samurai GirlWondering how "Samurai Girl" could have so much fantastic music? We can answer that in two words: Eve Nelson. She's a woman behind the scenes, bringing a shocking amount of talent to the sounds of "Samurai Girl" as a producer, composer, songwriter, and arranger. We bet she can pole vault and juggle too.
Before she came to "Samurai Girl," Eve — who actually may not sleep — had worked with artists from Chaka Khan to Donna Summer to Buster Poindexter. She wrote songs for the films "Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen," "Serendipity," and "The Lucky Ones." She also produced TV themes and commercials for Lifetime, TNT, Warner Bros., the Boston Red Sox, the NBA, and Major League Baseball. That's not even the end of the list of what she's done, but we're getting tired now: Let's just say she's been busy.
So now you know: There's a real musical samurai at work on "Samurai Girl."

I think most people never think about music being produced for tv/movies and always assume it's just some song being used that was an artists but a lot of the music we hear is done for the movies/shows and tv that we watch. There's definitely a lot of talent to be told to come up with a song soundtrack or whatever for a specific type of use. Rather then other musicians making any type of music for an album of theirs. I love music and have hundreds of CD's any time there's a concert near enough for me to get to i'm usually on the road going. I just got some steve coogan tickets and cant wait to with with my friends.
