saturday night: kiss the princess goodbye

Just try getting the image of Jake falling off the mountain out of your mind. Heaven had to cut someone's rope, right? But why did it have to be Jake's? Maybe she was more upset about the whole Karen thing than she let on. We've heard of cutting a guy loose, but that was harsh. Here's an idea: Replace that image with the one where he rescues Heaven from her dad's limo. Or with the one where they kiss in the lobby. Now, isn't that better?
But, hey, we’re getting ahead of ourselves. There’s SO much to cover ...
At the beginning of the episode, Heaven goes back home with a mission. Severin wants her to prove her dad is guilty. She wants to prove he’s innocent. Either way, she gets a really cute cell phone out of the deal. But that’s where the girlie stuff ends. In a matter of days, Heaven sneaks into her dad’s business, steals some important docs, swipes some runes from the Japanese consulate, and discovers that she's at the center of an ancient prophecy. Actually, she IS the prophecy.
Meanwhile, back at the loft, Cheryl's obsessed with painting the kitchen, and Otto's getting in touch with his inner Clint (as in Clint Eastwood, during his "Dirty Harry" years). But the really big news is that Jake's fiancee, who BTW he's never mentioned before, waltzes back into his life. At first glance, she's perfect -- but that image is shot when she kills Thomas Fleming (aka Professor Smoky Eyes). Obviously, there's more to Karen than meets the eye, and something tells us we won’t like what we see.
Speaking of things we don't like ... cut to the mountain where Heaven, Severin, and Jake hope to find an ancient mirror that will help unlock the mystery of the Marishi protocol. They're scaling the mountain, and everything's cool -- until something happens to Jake and Severin's ropes. Suddenly, they’re both hanging from the same hook, and, horribly, Heaven has to cut one of them loose or they'll both be history. She doesn't know what to do! Their ropes slip, and she has to make the choice. NOW. Jake tells her to cut his rope. She looks into his eyes. There's a moment ... and then she makes the fateful cut.
Did your heart sink when you saw Jake fall? Would you have cut Jake's rope?

I don't think she cut his rope and even if she did, we already know that he lives because he was shown in the previews for tonights episode and he didnt look beat up at all. I think she let the British guy go.
I think Jake falls but suvives he's one of the key roles in the show! But if she cuts severin's rope he lives too !!! which ever rope she cuts it doesn't matter they both live anyway !!! because they're such important roles in the show especially Jake but, Severin's role is important too, so ... anyways we are getting ahead of ourselves but either they are both ok and well p.s. I think Jake and Heaven end up together I mean with the kiss and what he was trying to tell her until he got interepted by Karen then Severin!!!! anyways these are just my opinions on what is going to happen.
I have never read the books but I am hooked to the show. I tuned in because of Brendan but now I just love the whole thing. Is this it though tonight? Is there no more after tonight?? I think they should continue it to a weekly show!! They could easily continue the story line. Oh and for all of you who keep commenting about no Japanese actors if you knew anything you would know that it is almost impossible to find Japanese actors that speak English. So they get what they can their not being prejudice. And I'm glad they changed the love interest(lead guy) to an American because he's the reason I started watching (not that I have anything agaist a Japansese guy I just like Brendan)!
I think it is going to be continued in a weekly show. It just started with a 3-night premiere. Well at least I hope so it is a great and somewhat addicting show !!!
I hope it continues too. They set it up to continue so if it doesn't, it was kinda pointless to watch it in the first place 'cause there was no real end! They can't leave us hangning like that!
oh and i never would have guessed the karen is on the bad side...i hope someone finds out in time. i have a feeling that she will tell Heaven's father and gang that Heaven is at the mountain looking for the artifact. I wonder when the next episode after tonights will air. does anyone know?
if you seen the previews for tonights show which is sunday, september 7, 2008, it shows that jake is still there and they don't show the other guy. so im guessing she either saved jake, or her powers came into play and she saved both of them. don't think so negative, and look at the previews next time. =] just thought everyone should know. i know this will ease many minds. you're all welcome.
Ok...Jake so doesn't fall at the end of last night. I think if she does cut his rope then she will some how save him cuz she can do wierd stuff like that, she just doesn't know it yet. Besides, Jake is in the previews for tonight, so even if he falls he won't die. Thank Goodness! I hated that Severin interupted them at the base of the mountain. I want them to kiss again soooo bad. I hate Karen, she is obviously working for the bad guys.

Ok...I didnt even SEE jake fall.....or was that in the previews for next episode? If it was...i dont remember it. Because where the actual episode from last night ended was she cut the rope....It never showed whose it was. And in the previews for next one...he was standing right next to heaven...just holding his right arm. So.......yea. OH! i forgot. In the proficy it mentions something about sacrifice, where heaven would have to die...but not necissarily. In the preview for last nights episode...we all saw her fall right? SHE CUT HER OWN ROPE! HAH! yes...i solved the mystery ^_^ i smart.
ok, why would she cut her own rope????? it wouldn't save Jake or Severin!!! they would still be on the one hook that couldn't hold the both of them !!! so how would Heaven cutting her rope save Jake And Severin??? but I'm not trying to say your wrong, I'm just asking how could her cutting her rope save them?

Jake has to be saved from the fall because i read the summary of tonights episodes and he was in them. Also the fiance and Heaven fight, it said that she went to China or Japan andi bet she works with the dad.
Jake is so cool that I'm sure he's fully adept at falling off cliffs and not getting hurt.
I'm really loving this so far but one thing is really bugging me - where is Heaven getting all her clothes from. It seems she has a new outfit every other scene.

I don't think it's jake who Heaven cut. He was in the preview for tomorrows episode.
I think that she does cut Jake's rope but he suvives the fall or some how she saves him. beccause in the previews I think he is in them but is injured, ok I don't know I wasn't really paying attention to them but either way she goes I think they (Jake and Severin) survive no matter which rope she cuts. ok, this is kinda off topic but why did Hiko (her brother) have to be killed off so soon ??????but anyways

omg the chic i the prophacy dies at the end! You dont think heaven will, do you. If she does the fiance kills her, i don't like her. that would be a bad ending esp. after Jake lives and tells her that he loves her. (well that art may not be true but i can hope right)
I am totally not waiting for that part to happen. I don't want Jake to die! He's my favorite! Hehe! And he's especially sexy.
Heaven and he are in love with one another. You can tell in that kiss, even though it supposedly was just to make their butts stayed safe ya know?
But hopefully, I'm sure Jake is in the last part of the movie and it will turn out completely wonderful!!! I can't wait to see it tonight! Who's with me?

I am super sad to see how it ended up. I can't believe we didn't see them together again. I hope this isn't the end of Samurai Girl.
I am so not ready to see what happens tonight !!!! I know Jake lives if his rope is the one Heaven cuts but I'm not exactly looking forward to it !!! but then again she might have cut Severine's rope beccause it doesn't show him in the previews. But they might not be showing Severin so we think she cuts his rope but really she cut Jake's... well it's just a thought any way it doesn't matter if she does cut Jake's rope newsflash he lives !!!! p.s. I'm sorry to say I don't think it is going to be continued as a weekly show but I wish it was but I might be wrong which I hope I am !!!!(wrong that is about it not be a weekly show)
He's hot but I think he needs to tell heaven how he truely feels about her. That he thinks of her as more than his best friends kid sister and being a little sister myself I can tell you that is extremely annoying I mean come on she's got a good physique and she's smart funny talented. I mean she's the total package for him and I really don't want him to die. I mean if he died and then came back to life that would be really cool and everything but I mean it would be a total drag to kill the hot teacher.
I totally agree!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Jake needs to tell Heaven how he truly feels because we all know how Heaven feels about him !!! Jake can't get killed off anyways because he is such an important part in the show !!!!! (i know i keep saying that but it's true). Karen is deffinatly one of the bad guys(or girls,lol) anyways. what would make Karen just show up out of nowhere ???? It was at like the perfect time to try to keep Jake and Heaven apart but I think they (Jake and Heaven) overcome this obstacle and somehow end up together ok I keep getting ahead of my self
