A little imaginative recycling can help others and the planet.

So check out our Top 5 Tips for Recycling with a Cause ...

1. Cars
Instead of junking your unwanted car, donate it to charity. You'll be helping a worthy cause and keeping your vehicle out of a landfill.

2. Computers
Next time you upgrade to a new computer, donate your old one to a local school or library. If the computer no longer works, contact your local recycling center to find out how to dispose of it safely.

3. Cell Phones
Several charities accept used cell phones and give them to people, especially women, in need. Go online for a charity near you.

4. Work Clothes
Purge that closet and donate your unwanted work clothes to a charity that helps people get back on their feet and into the workforce.

5. Eyeglasses
Your old eyeglasses can make a world of difference for someone who can't afford to buy their own. Ask your eye doctor or go online to find a charity that dispenses eyeglasses to people in need.
