we're doing something different
shady characters
Posted Thu, 07/16/2009 - 07:25 — SCJ Green RoomHere's a totally bright idea: Toss those plastic sunglasses.
Those cool shades are really hot. And we don't mean that in a good way. Most sunglasses are made from plastic, which never fully biodegrades, which means they contribute to global warming in a big way.
Talk about some shady characters!
Why not give eco sunglasses the slip? As in, slip on a pair and be an Earth superstar. Give sunglasses made from reclaimed plastic or sustainable wood a try. Or go vintage. Work that John Lennon look. Or sport a retro Annie Hall feel.
Check online for the growing number of eco sunglasses retailers. You'll find some that fit every budget, from $22 up to $350 and more. And then there's always your local thrift shop, where you might just score a pair of retro shades on the cheap.
The future's looking brighter already.
