If you've been touched or tickled by the lovable characters -- awkward Amy, perky Grace, sarcastic Ben -- of "The Secret Life of the American Teenager," then you've probably fallen under show creator Brenda Hampton's spell. Hampton is no stranger to creating shows with heart -- after all, she pretty much defined teen drama in the '90s with her breakout hit "7th Heaven." Yeah, that's right, the show that launched Jessica Biel's career and had a revolving door of guest stars, including sisters-to-the-stars Haylie Duff and Ashlee Simpson. And Emmy nominee Hampton was the creator, executive producer, and writer behind it all. Talk about a class act! With Hampton's magic touch, we predict big, big things for the cast of "Secret Life." Will Shailene Woodley (aka Amy Juergens) be the next Biel, for example? Guess we'll just have to watch and see!

Thx Brenda!!!!!!!!!! I loved the show 7th Heaven and i'm glad it was able to continue for so long! I really hope this show is just as succesful if not more (which would be really hard but possible) i love this show and it's gonna be awsome!!!!! Can't wait til the new one 2marow!!!!!!!! Yes I deff see some of the 7th heaven sort of feel. I love it!! what bothers me tho, is i wonder how the show will last. I mean only 9 months to make a baby. So what will the show be like after that? Ya know!? I just wonder..

i luv this show! the 1st episode i watched with my mom bcuz her mom had her at 15 so she was adpoted, but my mom just got in touch with her birth mom so im realy happy 4 her. anyways if this show isnt enough, teen pregancy is very hurtful. my real grandma said she hasnt gone a day without wondering how my mom was. just wait! and im going 2 be a frshman next year, is there realy this much sex? some` please help
I love this show and most of the time its right about high school I think that this show is so great.....Many ppl in my school either are pregnant or have kids.......Im not saying its a bad thing or im not looking down on any teen parents but when your in high school and this young(fresh into high school) you dont really know what high schol is like because of it. And no im not one of these know it all ppl that think they know what there talking about but really have no idea how the real world works. I went threw it with my best friend when she got pregnant. Most of the time she was at home and she couldnt go out for sports or go to any games. But I love this SHOW!!!!!!!
I like this show but I don't like how they portray christians...for a show about teen pregnancy you would think they weren't portrayed as "freaks of nature"
I know shes young and all but she should keep the baby because killing a baby is something that im not into and never will commit such a thing....but this show is now my ultimate favorite.. brenda you did such a goos job in airing this.. I just cant wait till the next episode comes out.. lol. anyways jsut great and the characters fit just perfect... love it!!

i love this show! it is awesome.i was soooo mad at first when i watched the first episode because i wanted keep going and it was like over! i can't waiting until the next tuesday night. when i can't watch it because i am busy my friend records it and i go to her house and watch it that weekend!

usually this kind of show would annoy me from the first moment I saw the preview. but this was different. I really think they hit the teenage life right on the nose. Well the secret part at least. Guys trying to get laid like its a contest, girls getting urged on by their boyfriends to have sex, and teenage pregnancies happening to young girls who just got curious, thinking it was never gonna happen to them.
This show, is exactly like a high schooler's perspective to all of this. It actually shows reality while making it entertaining to watch.
i love this show can u please reconsider on changing the night from tuesdays at 8 to wednesdays at 8pm my friends and i really do enjoy this show and we had to skip 2 classes just to see it bcuz of the clash it has the same time with our class please reconsider dnt wanna have to skip any more classes we really do enjoy watching this show it makes us cry...awwwwwww

Yeah, so I was watching this show for the second time in a row and i can't get over how terrible the show is. i mean seriously, 15 year old middle class kid who hasn't had a boyfriend yet becomes pregnant? i love this show but i think amy shouldve told her parents earlier because now that her parents are splitting up, its gonna be more stress on not just her family, but on her and the baby. and maybe if she told ricky, slow down and finally realize he can actually LOVE someone.

I love this show the only thing i don't like is how they make us Christians look. They make us look so stupid they didn't do that in 7th Heaven. But other than that it's like the best show in the world. I feel sorry for Ben for falling in love with the right girl at the wrong time, but i admire him stepping up the way he is even though it's not his baby and i can't wait for Ricky to find out it really is his baby and what his reaction will be.
