More than half of you think Amy and Ben won't go the distance.
Last week, we asked you, "Which couple isn't going to last?" Yeah, it's maybe not the sunniest topic, but you sure knew what you thought would happen. Six out of 10 voters (58%) chose Amy and Ben. Gee, wonder if Team Ricky was on the job?
OK, we could have guessed that one. But 13% of you chose Grace and Jack as the next dissolving duo on "The Secret Life of the American Teenager." Really? They were followed by Leo and his fiancee, Betty, who won an 11% vote of no confidence. Yes, that's about one in nine people saying they don't see a future for the Sausage King and his possible Queen.
About the same number of people (9%) see no future for Ricky and Adrian OR Anne and David (8%) ... so does that mean most people think they'll make it, or just that most people were too busy clicking on Ben and Amy to vote for (or is it against?) them? In fairness, some folks on the boards were saying it was a hard quiz, because ALL these couples are doomed.
Except maybe Cindy and Ruben, who came in dead last with under 2%, which is pretty good news for them. And for Adrian.
Is that what you expected? What else would you say about these couples?

ben and amy:
i think ben is very much in love with amy. but is it real love or puppy love? yeah, he's a loyal guy. i love ben. but let's be honest, amy's the only girl he's ever dated. and she's not treating him the best lately. even if they are "meant for eachother", i don't think ben should be with her right now. he needs to take some time for himself.
amy and ricky:
some episodes have made a point of showing some chemistry between amy and ricky. i think they'll definitely end up together at some point. but i don't know if it'll last or not. they seem to be on two completely different maturity levels right now. he's taking responsibility like an adult. and amy is being a little immature. she's being disrespectful towards everyone and is whining about all of the responsibily which, let's be honest, she chose to take on. she knew what she was gonna have to do if she kept the baby. and yeah, it's not going to be easy, but that doesn't give her the right to be "the b-word" to everyone. i don't think amy deserves to be dating anyone right now.
ricky and adrian:
i think adrian definitely has deeper feelings for him than she's letting on. and she knows those feelings are there. but i don't know if ricky feels the same way. he did tell ben not to sleep with her. but was he trying to protect amy or was he being protective of adrian? i don't know. he might have deeper feeings for adrian than he thinks. but right now, i think he also has some small feelings for amy too. and i think the show will let those feelings grow, just to see what will happen. but like i've said, i don't know if it'll last.
grace and jack:
i've always thought grace could do better than jack. they do have a lot in common, what with being christian and all (by the way, christianity is the most popular religion in this country. but you don't see eighty some percent of teenagers running around with cross necklaces talking about what jesus thinks is best for them). i'm not sure. i could see her finding someone that's better for her.
leo and betty:
leo is a very smart guy. he obviously knows betty is not a court reporter. and he doesn't care that she was a hooker. it's not about where you came from, it's about where you're going. and i think he knows that. betty is a very nice woman who was given a hard life situation. but that doesn't make her a bad person. and i think they're in love. but i do think leo should be including ben more in his and betty's relationship. i know ben will never see betty as a mother but she will be part of the family. and that IS bens business.
anne and david:
i think they jumped into this way too fast. it might work out if they take things a little slower, but there's also a chance it could be george's baby. and i doubt davids gonna want marriage and a house if it's not his baby. but that shouldn't matter. he should be marrying her and buying a house with her because he loves her. not because they're assumably having a baby together.
grace and adrians "brother":
i don't know, the thought just occured to me once. i think it'd be cute. he seems her type. even if he's not a christian, they could still have a lot in common. christians aren't restricted to dating only chritians.
I knew Amy and Ben would be the highest chosen to end. I'm on team Ricky and Amy and I think Ricky really does have feelings for Amy. I think he does love her and just doesn't realize it. Hopefully Ben and Amy end and Ricky and Adrian end so Amy and Ricky can FINALLY be together and be a family with John. I think Amy and Ricky need to work together so they can be a family and also add John after.
I know alot of the people on here want Ricky and Amy to get together but, really Ricky never had feelings for Amy he just wanted sex so he made her feel special that's all there weren't any powerful feelings. This dosen't mean I want Ben and Amy together though because there personalities are completey different . Ben isn't the most layed back person about relationships he wants a fairytale romance and he throws himself all the way into them so he should be with a girl who is similar in the fact that they throw themseves all in not a girl who is so uptight, finds a problem in everything and dosen't trust him like Amy. And Amy needs a mature guy who can take care of things because Amy is very needy with the baby(that sounds terrible but I think it's true) she needs a guy who could careless about Ricky someone who could almost be classified as a friend because that's how I think Amy and Ricky's relationship should be classified because there partners in raiseing John nothing more kind of like do a prodject for class(obviously more important and more emotion involved though because there raising a human not something that would be graded)
to be honest, im not surprised than more than half the people voted that amy and ben are to be doomed...adrian and ricky should be next! if the show would place ricky and amy finally in love..the ratins would be even more than they already are!!

i really dont think amy and ben will last either, which i hate to say because i want it to, but if this show is realistic, the girl will choose the hot guy, that will cheat on her, and never give her the treatment she deserves, instead of the awkward clumbsy guy, that tries his best to make her happy, even if it dosnt maek him happy. haha the ratings would sky rocketttt, because in the begginign your led onto belive amy would never talk to ricky again, but he is quite a charmer. and he keeps making ben look supid, i just hope ben leaves her, she dosnt deserve the good guy anyways. haha

I don't think Amy loves Ben or ever did. she just keeps him around. I would have to say that All of the couples are doomed in one way or another...... Amy and Ricky should have no relationship beyond him helping to care for his child he has proven that he isn't ready for that and Amy should want more for herself.......Anne is already pregnant by George so engaged or not (that wont last) if her and George have a chance at making it work that will be dissolved If Cindy is pregnant because that is probably his baby too......grace and jack could last but who knows he has a history of cheating......Adrian and Ricky don't need each other because they both have unresolved issues that they need to work on and them deciding to only have sex with each other isnt going to fix them........ but hey that's just my opinion!
The show's dialogue isn't that great either so even if that were the case it really wouldn't make a difference.

I think it would be a poorly written show if Ricky and Amy got together... while yes it would be cute. But the show seems to revolve around sex. And them getting together would just kinda be odd. Because the show would prove a point that not all couples stay together and that just because you have a baby doesn't mean you stay together. It would be sending the wrong message that they seem to be trying to send out about sex. I think so far the show has been wonderfull in acurately portraying just how difficult it is to have a baby at that age. And that sex is complicated yet not so much at the same time becuase Adrianne is safe about it. It makes a lot of good points. So if Amy and Ricky got together it would be kinda contradictive. Hate to break it too all the teens that watch this show but a baby doesn't guarantee a realationship. I think Ricky is doing a good job with John because he wants to do right not because he wants to be with Amy.
I agree, I come from a town where teenage pregnancy is not uncommon (thats why I think it's soo funny how everyone is making a big deal over one pregnant teen) and I can honestly say that I am the only one of my friends who did not get pregnant between the ages 15 and 20 (I'm 21). I am seriously not over exaggerating.
Although I can't speak for everyone, It just seems to me that if Amy and Ricky ended up together it would seem too "happily ever after-ish." Usually the mother and father don't end up together because the relationship wasn't about love, it was just about sex and now they have to take care of another life. At least for Ben and Amy, you know that their relationship isn't based on sex, sure they may be going through a rough patch right now, but all relationships do and thats how you know which ones are worth it.
I think in the long run Amy and Ben's love will mature into something great and little John will be so lucky to have a great mommy, a loving daddy and a great step-daddy

Ben is Pushing Amy's buttons but she cant stay mad at him for long. i think they will last long its just the stress of being a teenage parent is getting amy to be a very timid person. Once the baby is older; probably when its a year old or so; things will be less stressful for amy. Anyways, i dont think ben and amy are gonna break up anytime soon.
