Youth beats experience as Amy + Ricky top our latest poll.
No big surprise: Your fave duo slams yet another contest. When we asked who "your fave parents" are on "The Secret Life of The American Teenager," almost three out of four fans (72%) chose little baby John's folks.
So we have to wonder ... we know they're your fave characters. But they only just became parents. Would you like to have them as your parents? (Sure, if it meant getting tucked in by Ricky, right?) Do you think having teen parents would be a problem? Do you think they'd be mature enough? Tell us in the comments section, below.
So how'd the more experienced parents do? Anne and George took 20% of the votes for a distant second place. We've definitely seen more of the Juergenses than we have of Grace's folks, Marshall and Kathleen Bowman, who got just 4%.
Ricky's foster parents, Margaret and Dr. Shakur, took a slim 3%, while Adrian's parents bring more drama than votes -- just 2%. Maybe Cindy Lee and estranged baby daddy Ruben will get more popular as they give life together a try.
Two more questions for you this week: Now that Marshall's dead, would you change your vote? And if we asked you who are the BEST parents on "Secret Life," who would you choose?

okay. i think amy and ricky will make good parents but only because they have a lot of people supporting them and helping them make decisions. which they desparately need. just because they'd make good parents doesn't mean they should get together for life or anything though. they'd still be good parents if they were seperate. even though i think they will hook up for a while. but i doubt it'll last.
and i was so surprised grace's parents ranked so low. they have a very open and honest relationship with their kids. they know what's best for them. and their kids really respect them even if they don't agree with them. that's a hard thing to do. and before the whole jack thing that one night, grace had been doing pretty good. and grace is really smart and you know she's gonna make it places. she'll still make mistakes but just fewer mistakes than a lot of the other kids at grant high. and maybe seeing how the kids turn out is the true test of parenting. maybe.
I don't think anyone is the perfect Parents. no one is perfect, i think that they are all gr8t parents but i also think that amy and ricky are more of ricky is a awesome parent. Amy needs to start brigin her baby everywhere she goes, like when she goes to the store or to a friends house. ect ect. but i think ricky is a good parent!! he is such a gr8t dad! i wish all fathers would learn from this.

please give me some advice. i am 16 and just gave birth a few weeks ago with someone other than my boyfriend. but now my bf wants to have sex. i told him i just had a baby, but now he won't get of my back. i am thinking about having sex with him just so he will stop bothering me and maddie. maddie is my daughter. uggggg help. right now i ONLY love maddie.

I think that Maddie is the only one that needs you. Your boyfriend can wait or find another girl, I'm sorry. If he really loves you, he would know that you can make that choice again. Would you want to be mommy of two at 17? I really hope not, since one baby needs alot, if you have two, then mommy may not be in school and longer and will probably working for a very long time.

U need to explain to your bf that you just had a baby and having sex is not what you want. That you will show your love another way, but not sex. Explain to him that if he only wants to have sex with you and he does not care about anything but sex then you really dont want to be with him and obvisously he does not love you but loves the fact that you will have sex with him. Show and explain to him that the outcome of having sex at a young age is not good. (I know you love Maddie, but yet Maddie was not the #1 thing you wanted to happen to you)gtg for now but will edit or comment more later, ttyl

i kno i am only young but tell him that you are sore and you dont want to have sex just yet...tell him that we wont be able to if the baby will be all alone while you to are having sex and it wouldnt be the same....sometimes you have to make a stand for yourself just tell him no not yet...

I don't think Ricky is ready to be in a relationship with anybody right now. Ricky has a lot of issues he needs to handle before he commits to a relationship with anybody. Him and Amy do have music in common. They do seem to make a good couple, but I don't think they should be together just because they have a baby together. I agree that Ben is way too jealous, but can you blame him? Ben is just this nerd that fell in love with this pretty girl that had sex with Grant High School's heartthrob. Hmmmm, I can see why he's jealous. I think Amy needs to be a little more sensitive to Ben's needs as well.

I don't know that Amy and Ricky are perfect for each other, but they are certainly better fit for each other than Amy and Ben. I can't stand Ben! He acts like Amy is his daughter or something. He is so nagging and jealous! If I were Amy, I would kick him out for good. Ricky and Amy are good parents together, but Amy needs to lay off. It's Ricky's baby just as much as it is hers.

Ben and Amy - I think act wayyyyy too grown up. I think they need to slow it down a bit. Adrian and Ricky - I think they need to spend quality time going out and dating so they can get to know each other better other than through sex. Grace and Jack - I think Jack is fake. I think Grace could do a whole lot better than him. He's a liar and a cheat. I'm sorry, but I think Grace should just move on. I hate what happened to her father.

I think Ricky and Amy will be good parents even though they are only teenagers. They can work together to raise their son and that's really all a child needs is for their parents to be there and support them. I also think that now things are changing with Anne having a baby and Dr. Bowman diying is going to change everything.
I fell the same way
I voted for Ricky's parents. they are really good foster parents, most wouldn't take in Ricky and let him stay after the whole Amy situation. (well, I wouldn't know cuz I'm not in foster care, but I'm assuming.) I love Ricky/Amy as much as the next person, but they don't have to win every contest. we've only seen them as parents for a few episodes, so I think the other couples deserve a chance.

While Ricky's a player, he doesn't pressure girls. Ben is all, "Sleep with me!" every five minutes. As far as I know, Ricky would never do that. He's charming and makes girls want to do it, but I don't think he would pressure him into that if they didn't want to do it. and the whole Ricky giving Ben the advice thing, Ben didn't have to go through with it. and Ricky deserves to have some say in the decisions. And another thing, we aren't all idiots that just like him because he's hot, we have plenty of [good] reasons. Ok, i highly doubt he says it every 5 mins. And shouldn't Ben have some say in the decisions too, i mean he is the one who helped Amy through the whole pregnancy!! And Ricky is only now starting to become "responsible" and besides even if he did get with Amy, i really dont think that he would stop sleeping with Adrian, because he really does like her!! I think people should really put this in their prospective. Ricky and Amy are doing a Fantastic job, but without the care they have from so many people, they wouldn't be doing as good as they are. They have a lot of support from Amy's family and Friends. We will all see how good they are in the upcoming Episodes as Ann's baby comes and Amy doesn't have the help like she is use to. All in all They are doing great for Two Teenage parents.

ricky and amy really are the best parents. they are both acting very responsible and i think they shocked everyone. and i dont think a lot of ppl would change their mind about grace's parents because they were reeally strict. and they werent the best parents.

AHHHHHHHHHHH i love these two they are great parents both amy and ricky are dealing very well but amy is a little too over protective of john i understand her being hesitant to let ben and his dad & his dads gf watch baby but ricky is johns father and he is extremely good with him so she needs to let his take care of him too i think she is just stressed & wants to do everything perfect (theres nothing wrong with that but she is going to stress herself out soo much)
Amy and Ricky are really wonderful parents and Ricky is an outstanding teenage dad!
