spoiler alert! grace faces death

Isn't this a little harsh. How long is it going to take for Grace to get over this? Get back together with Jack? etc. etc. etc.?

OMG when i saw this i was like and i did not c that coming but when i heard that her dad had died i cried my heart out and it was soooooooooo sad i cant belive that they would do that to her character but it makes me want the show on every nite lol

Of course it isn't her fault! The plane crash was a freak accident, and it just happened to occur on the night Grace decided to sleep with her boyfriend, which is totally and completely HER decision. I personally don't believe in God, but even if I did believe that a God existed, he wouldn't be so cruel as to take away a girl's father as a punishment for having sex before marriage, something that 3 out of 5 teenage girls do every day. And for everyone saying that ABC Family is pushing the "don't have sex before marriage" thing a little too far by killing off Grace's dad, they aren't trying to scare teenage girls into abstinence by saying that if you have sex, your dad is going to die in a freak accident. It's a drama show, so the death of a main character was kind of inevitable, and now Grace's long journey in getting over her guilt and her dad's death will be a key plot element in the new season. Plus, the actor who played Grace's dad quit the show, so they just weaved that into the show by killing off the character completely. Same with Molly Ringwald, who plays Amy's mom. She's pregnant in real life too, so they wrote it into the show that Anne got pregnant by her boyfriend David, which will also be a huge plot element in the new season.

wow...why would grace blame herself for this when it isnt anybodys fault! she was just doing the wrong thing at the wrong time!

actually it is Graces fault that her dad died cuz her dad went away cuz of grace he was upset cuz grace didnt want to wait to have sex so he said he needed sometime away. so if i were grace i would feel terrible cuz she didnt even wanna talk to her dad when dah plane was about to go......so yea it is graces Falut!!!!!

I, for one, can't understand why anyone would want Ricky to be with Amy instead of Ben. Sure, Ben can be arrogant or airhead-ish sometimes, but he really likes Amy and wants to help take responsibility for something he didn't do. Ricky is a slacker who has commitment issues. Did no one realize that throughout a majority of the show he cheated on Grace with Adrienne? It seems like a no-brainer. Take Ben. The faithful one. So why does everyone seem inclined to favor the scumbag that Ricky is? I don't care if he had childhood trauma, it doesn't excuse anything. He can dictate his own life and the choices he makes are his own. So, why Ricky?

I really feel for Grace right now. Something like the death of an immediate family member hits a lot harder than most people can imagine. She is probably feeling as if she is being punished by God for sleeping with Jack. She will probably resent Jack for a while, or possibly the rest of her life, it all depends on how she deals with stress and traumatic experiences. And Although she may think it now, I don't think it was wrong of her to have had sex. She was much smarter and much more prepared for it that most teenagers who have sex at that age.

I hope her friends will pull together and continue to support her through this, like she would have done for any of them. It's not her fault her dad's dead. And this should not be a reason for her to throw Jack out of her life either.

I saw the previews for next week and Iam so disappointed! I cant believe Grace is "blaming" Jack! This is deff not what I expected from this new season

she is going to bring the baby home her boyfriends gonna get jelous cause her breast got bigger aftr the baby and the momma is preggos by that guy she is seeing (they wrote it in2 the script cause she preggos in real life lol) ricky gonna b hanging around a little more the sister still the same something bad is gonna happen to the latina girl you know the one whos in love w/ ricky and thats all I know!!! hope it helped

Amy and Ben are going to break up and she's then going to get together with Ricky just because Ben was so jealous. I hope this happens because she should be able to choose what she wears without Bens very rude comments!

Ok it's just a show a very good show but a show. The big tip off that the Marshall character wasn't coming back & was dieing off on that episode was that he didn't appear in it at all. There for that means for whatever reason his CONTRACT was not renewed for the show. I'm a mom & even at 15 I would not expect my mother to take care of my son & work & maintain a life of her own. Amy's the 1 that got pregnant & wanted to keep the baby that's her responsibility not Ann's. I've been pregnant twice & have given birth twice, That aspect of the show is not acurate, IT HURTS TO GIVE BIRTH & IT'S UNCOMFORTABLE TO BE PREGNANT especially when your thin to begin with. Also generally speaking when your pregnant not just your belly gains weight it shows everywhere your face, brest, butt & legs. Grace had sex omg it's not that big a deal she's at what I think should be the average age but guess what now a days girls are more like Ashley's age. Grace did not kill her father. Tell me one scene in the show where she put a gun to his head, strangled,stabbed or poisoned him. Can you ? I didn't think so. Ricky reminds me of my eldest sons father. If he does date Amy he's going to hurt her he may not even do it on purpose but he will. Did everyone else miss the fact that he dated grace & slept with Adriane. HMM a clue sherlock it's a pattern of behavior that's not going to change till he wants it to. As for Amy & Ben there TEENAGERS. As you grow up you change it's going to happen no matter how much you don't want it to. People grow apart. It would appear that Ben is just not mature enough or secure enough to properly deal with the situations not that I'm shocked he is the only virgin left on the show. As far as declaring he wants sex right after she had a baby well personal experience tells me that just from having the baby Amy would have a very uncomfortable tome sitting down let alone having sex. If she's smart she's going to focus on her & John for a while & forget the drama of a boyfriend (ie finishing school, working to support John & in general taking care of him). Yes when you have babies you don't get to be one anymore so the whole preview where she says she doesn't have time to be a teenager well DUHHHHH. You have a whole little person to care for. If she didn't want the responsibility she should have A. Not had sex. B. Been prepared (condoms & birthcontrol) C. Actually followed through with an adoption. Like I said it's a show it's a great show don't get me wrong. There are parts that are accurate & parts that could be more realistc. The point of the show seems to be a soap opera for teens & a campaign for the obvious lets all say it together now "you should wait till your married before you have sex & talk to your parents before it's to late." Which is not entirely a bad idea. It's supposed to entertain & stimulate not cause some of the idiotic comments left by SOME of you. You might not like what I have to say but think about this I have children been there done that maybe not at 15 but at 20. Guess what you adapt you grow up & Amy's character is going to have to for John's sake.

i feel really bad for grace! But it wasn't her fault at all. I don't think she thinks its her fault i think she feels bad because she was fighting w/ her dad & then went agains't what he said and had sex and never got to apologize to him for the arguement and stuff. She know's that her mother was right and she should of called before the plane left. I think she's more upset knowning that he passed away and they'll never get to apologize & make up and she knows he's disappointed that she didn't listen and wait longer. I think were going to see a whole other side to grace. I wasn't expecting everything that happened in the first show of the new season. I think there's going to be alot of different turns throughout the season.

I feel really sorry for Grace. I know if I was Grace, I would proably never move on. Also, I would feel guilty. I know that she is not, but she said goodbye to him when they were mad at eachother. And she had sex with Jack when she knew that it was wrong and her father did not want her to. I think that Ricky and Amy should NOT be together. She belongs with Ben! But I know that relationships that are like that when they are soo young does not last. I love this show, it is very intertaning

I really think thats the end for Jack (well at least for a while). She i not gonna like hom for a lil bit because of what happened. I feel so bad for her. I think Amy and Ricky would b PERFECT, i dont know why I just think Bens a jerk and ESPECIALLY after asking Amy to have sex right after she had a kid and that kinda put a ruin on her life.
