Here are the things I'm happy about seeing on the lineup:

Beetlejuice
The Addams Family movies
Corpse Bride
Edward Scissorhands
Hocus Pocus
Haunted Mansion

Now for the not-so-good things:

No Casper, from what I've seen. They didn't play this last year, either. With the ghostly theme, I don't see why it wouldn't be included in the lineup especially as I've seen it on ABC Family before. It'd fit better than some of the other movies ABC chose instead. If anyone knows another station this will be playing on sometime in the upcoming week, PLEASE LET ME KNOW.

No Teen Witch. Last year ABC Fam had a Halloween marathon around this time and Teen Witch played in the morning. It was the first time I've seen that movie and I enjoyed it, and imagine those who grew up with it in the 80s would have loved seeing it again.

No Great Pumpkin, from what I've seen.

No Scariest Places on Earth marathon...I loved watching that, though the last time they played it was when I was in tenth grade (I'm a freshman in college now).

Including The Mask and The Goonies along with whatever other movies don't fit in with the Halloween theme. You'd think they only did this because they couldn't find enough Halloween movies, but think of all the others that would fit perfectly that could've been used instead!

Also...a Batman marathon on Halloween? I won't be home during the night, but during the day I'd have hoped to get in the Halloween spirit with more Halloween movies.

I'm a little disappointed and know this doesn't bode well for Christmas. I'm afraid to check and see the hullabaloo on the Christmas board because of this. I suppose these decisions are made for monetary reasons and it's a shame because this is the only channel doing such specials for holidays, for the most part (thank goodness they're at least still doing such specials, I have to say).

I recommend you guys check Youtube for some other Halloween jewels that might not be found elsewhere, if you cannot get DVDs. I've found some Addams Family cartoons and Beetlejuice cartoons on there, and I have an Alvin and the Chipmunks Halloween special, along with a Scooby Doo movie. Here's hoping you guys all get into the spirit enough!
