Planning Ahead for 2009
Posted Fri, 10/10/2008 - 03:35 — nycscififanI know, the grave hasn't even been DUG for the 2008 showings of "The 13 Nights of Halloween" and here I am, starting next year's wish list. So be it! Things move slowly at ABC Family, maybe this thread will catch some decision-maker's eye!
WHAT DO YOU WANT TO SEE NEXT YEAR FOR THE "13 NIGHTS OF HALLOWEEN"?
I had a bit of an idea this morning for next year's "13 Nights" programming. Most of the people on this board are fans of one or more ABC Family show(s) and each of those shows have one or more episodes that are a bit creepy, cooky, mysterious, spooky or altogether "ooky."
What if the "13 Nights of Halloween" included the creepiest episodes from those favorite ABC Family TV shows? For example, Kyle XY had an episode called "Blame it on the Rain" which included a Oijia board scene, secret messages, dark stormy nights, and ... murder. It would be perfect for Halloween?
What about the other current ABC Family shows? Do they have episodes that would fit in with the "13 Nights of Halloween" theme?

That would definitely be a good idea. Other Disney-affiliated networks (i.e. Disney Channel) air all of the creepiest episodes of their shows during the month of October. They could even do it for their other programming (i.e. That 70's Show, My Wife and Kids).

make a new abcfamily original series that is like the scifi channels ghost hunters (spoe) and destination truth..... make it available year round tho, this will get abcfamily's raitings UP THERE. believe me, SciFi has the most ratings on Wednesdays cause of the shows...... why not abc family, it would be fun!
Let's see... we need some more horror stuff...
-Psycho? That would be nice
-The Amityville Horror? That would be sick.
-A new original movie? I have a feeling I will miss not having one this year
-Dr. Phibes? I fell in love with it when it was on last year online.
-The Initiation of Sarah? It's good and it belongs on TV, not just online,=.

I would like to see:
. Casper movie with Christina Ricci;
. Addams Family and/or The Munsters on in the late afternoon/early evening.
. Bewitched, esp. the Halloween episodes.
. QUANTUM LEAP, even if it's just the "Evil Leapers" or their Halloween episodes.
. Harry Potter - any or all of the movies. (HP really doesn't belong at Christmastime, sorry)
. The Good Witch (a SciFi original miniseries; might be out of Disney/ABC's reach, but it's really good)
That's a good start to the list, I think. What does everyone else want to see on the lineup next year (2009)?
