ABC Family: vito7896 Reconsidering 13 Nights Schedule

Reconsidering 13 Nights Schedule

Hey everyone! I'm turning over a new leaf. I've decided that even though the 13 Nights schedule is pretty bad and boring this year, I'm gonna make the best of it. They did add Edward Scissorhands and they haven't taken off any of their major movie staples. Even though they completely threw Scariest Places on Earth to the wind and watched it fly away. Big cry Let's look at the bright side of things! We get to see more Johnny Depp! Isn't that a plus? Wink Most of the older movies are on DVD anyway. If we buy the DVD then we can watch it whenever we want. If anyone agrees with me please say so and if don't agree speak your mind. I'm all ears Big smile

I would just like to reiterate that THERE IS NOTHING WE CAN DO NOW. If we keep complaining its not going to solve anything. Maybe more of us should have emailed the ABC team. I know I did and I even posted an email address for people to use, but no one must have seen it. I like all of those ideas, though, especially Mr. Boogedy. I forgot about that one. How about a movie called Monster Squad. I know that's on dvd. I bought it at target. Maybe next year guys and girls. Maybe we'll get through to them for next year. And please no more negativity even in the least, because it just makes me angry again and I'm trying to stay positive about this.

So how exactly is this line up awesome or even remotely Halloweenish? Correct me if I am wrong, but most of the movies in the line-up are in rotation on ABC family. So what is special about most of them? Sad

Why no Harry Potter? I mean, it's not that Halloweenish (I created a word there) but it's better than the Goonies!

Since ABC is PWNED by Disney now, why can't we get better movies?

As a child of the 80's I would love to share my Halloween memories with my kids and to do that I am having to scourer Ebay for low budget copies of old movies and shows that dominated Halloween time 20 years ago.

Suggestions:
Garfield Halloween
Great Pumpkin
Nightmare before Christmas
Disney's Halloween treat
My mother the witch (not Halloweenish but neither is 80 percent of the 2009 line up)
The Halloween that almost wasn't
Witches night out
Raggedy Ann and Andy Halloween special
Mr. Boogedy

I would like to say that I think the Adams Family and Beetlejuice are somewhat appropriate. It's better than AFV.

You would think that Halloween night the line up would go out with a bang but alas it failed epically (BATMAN???? COME ONE ABC!!)

While I am glad they added Edward Scissorhands, I'm really disappointed in the fact they removed the Scariest Places on Earth marathon. That was my favorite part, and the main reason I even watched 13 nights of Halloween in the first place. I will still watch, but I don't know how long my interest will keep. And while Edward Scissorhands really has nothing to do with Halloween, it's a Tim Burton film and Tim Burton films are always good on Halloween. Well... actually they good all year round, but especially on Halloween.

Well, despite the sort of negative vibe I'm getting from people so far I would like to add something. I understand and completely agree with everyone about the shows they had on last year and don't have on this year. Also about somepeople not being able to afford dvds. I myself didn't even have a dvd player till about two years ago. I'm just trying to stay positive. I think we all could learn a lesson from staying positive. There is nothing we can do now. The schedule is out. So let's make the most of it. Big smile

edward scissorhands i think is a plus, but last year and the year before both had movies that were related. Like for instance, last year had the nightmare before christmas, i know its holloween and christmas, it will prolly be played on the 25 days of christmas, hopefully but its holloween too. The Corpse Bride isn't on the lineup, but is showed during previews. Thats false advertisement!!! The hangmans curse and i know waht you did last summer was on last year... some people don't have the kind of money to buy the old movies on dvd. What about the people that look forward to watching it on television with friends or family. i just wish they would check these boards and actually hear what we people have to say. i miss the thrillers, the horror movies we can buy but not the thrillers like "are you afraid of the dark?" or those movies. Even Disney channel, i hate disney because they changed into hannah freakingtana and hobo brothers but the movies i enjoy watching, like holloweentown and those. But this year their lineup is messed too. And to be honost Haunted mansion shouldn't be showed on abc, its a disney movie, show it on disney. The funniest videos crap should be played during a drama show and be replaced with a movie.
