ABC Family: JulieRobynJ Schedule for 2009?

Schedule for 2009?

Hey everyone,

I'm a big fan of ABC Family's "13 Night of Halloween" and "25 Days of Christmas". I'm already getting excited about this year's "13 Nights of Halloween" program. Anyone have any idea about this year's programming schedule yet? I try to keep posted on www.abcfamilymedia.net, but they decided to block the monthly schedules. I've also tried googling any updates regarding this year's programming schedule, but I only get updates on this year's "25 Days of Christmas"? Any info out there?

Thanks!

I'm really looking forward to the 13 Nights Of Halloween. As I do every year.

There's a few on the 2009 schedule that I really like...but otherwise, I'm pretty disappointed. I look forward to this every year. What about When Good Ghouls Go Bad? And Nightmare Before Christmas, Wallace and Grommit, Casper, Ghostbusters, etc.etc. Bring back the good ones! The ones that really get us into the Halloween spirit. Thanks.

Anyone else extremely dissapointed with this year's lineup? Besides Hocus Pocus, what else on their actually has anything to do with Halloween? Charlie and the Chocolate Factory? The Goonies? Really, ABC Family? Puzzled

I also hate the repeating. Of course, ABCFam is Disney, and DC repeats their movies over and over the entire month. But, come on. They've shown better in the past. What about When Good Ghouls Go Bad, or even the Scariest Places on Earth?

I'm going to be watching my taped movies from the past this year.

Hey everyone!!
I just thought of two more things. Does anyone remember that movie they ran a couple years ago called "The Hollow"? Well anyway they could play that again. Big smile I actually thought it was good. Also I thought of an awesome idea for a show they could make. How about having a travel show where they go to different places that are either huanted or in a historical sense creepy :Smiling , for lack of a better term. Like just to name a few:
Sleepy Hollow, NY (The historical location of Washington Irving's chilling tale)
Stephen King's house (Kinda like a goth cribs Wink )
Salem, Massachusetts (Salem witch trials)
Edgar Allan Poe's Grave (Or possibly the gutter in which he died)
Whitechapel, London, England (Want a little Ripper with your Jack?)

The list could go on and on. I mean they could go to places that are new and original, but also include those that are classic. Tell me what you think. Smiling Smiling

"I actually thought it was good. Also I thought of an awesome idea for a show they could make. How about having a travel show where they go to different places that are either huanted or in a historical sense creepy "

*cough*
I think the travel channel has that covered.

And if your gonna quote me make sure you quote the right section of words. "I actually thought it was good." was from the thought before.

Listen I don't know who you are, but I don't like you. Let's hear some good ideas from you instead of negativity towards me!!

Wink GREAT suggestions in both posts! Like I said in my last post...I hope ABC Family Channel's Programming team is listening!

I love everyones ideas!! Big smile I loved Raggedy Anne and the Pumpkin Who Couldn't Smile and The Worst Witch!! I haven't seen either of those since I was little. But I also think they should run shows all through October. I know this would defeat the purpose of it being called "The 13 Nights of Halloween", but if they ran like a movie here and there I think people would enjoy it. Or they could do a group effort with the Disney Channel and they could run some of the shows that have been used alot on the Disney channel and play the newer ideas (or I guess they would be considered old/new ideas) Wink on Abc family. Just a suggestion. I dont know if it's a good one or not. Puzzled Tell me what you think.

TO THE ABC FAMILY CHANNEL PROGRAMMING TEAM ----
I have been following the message boards for 25 Days of Christmas and 13 Nights of Halloween. I see that a lot of individuals are extremely disappointed with ABC Family Channel's programming for the 25 Days of Christmas in particular Big cry. The message boards are filled with great suggestions (I myself have made suggestions in prior posts in both forums) and I have yet to see anyone from the ABC Family Channel's programming team address any of the comments made by the viewers. This makes me wonder...is anyone actually monitoring these message boards and does ABC Family Channel plan to address and/or respond to the comments made??

Also, here are a few more suggestions:

Beetlejuice (the cartoon series)
Are You Afraid Of The Dark? (tv series)
Addam's Family
Double, Double, Toil & Trouble
Sabrina The Teenage Witch (movie)
The Witches
Corpse Bride
The Nightmare Before Christmas (both for Halloween AND Christmas!)

Great suggestions except Are You Afraid Of The Dark? is owned by Nickelodeon/Viacom.

I am looking forward to it too but I haven't seen anything yet. I would like to suggest - to the ABC Family Channel Programming Team - that they do more classic Halloween movies and cartoons. In recent years they have seemed to drop the ball (in my opinion) on some of what they have been choosing to air during these special programming events and I am beginning to lose interest in watching. May I suggest bringing in classics and recent hits like:

1.) Hocus Pocus
2.) Disney's Halloween Treat
3.) Garfield's Halloween Adventure
4.) Casper
5.) Goosebumps
6.) The Haunted Mansion
7.) Scariest Places on Earth
8.) Halloweentown (and the sequels)
9.) Raggedy Ann and the Pumpkin Who Couldn't Smile
10.) The Haunted Pumpkin of Sleepy Hollow

These are just a few of some of my favorites - the things that aren't too scarey for a kid-friendly line up. Please, please keep this in mind, Programmers! Looking forward to the 2009 event - I hope I'm not disappointed!

I agree. I love all the old animated Halloween classics. Haven't seen Garfield's Halloween's Adventure, Disney Channel's The Worst Witch, or Disney's animated The Legend of Sleepy Hollow in years. You could put Halloween cartoon programs on between 5 - 8 p.m. for children, then a Halloween movie on for the adults at 8 p.m. This would be a treat each night for kids and adults, leading up to Halloween. How about Halloween programming all day on Oct 31st?

Great suggestions!!

I completely agree!
