we're doing something different
25 days of Christmas
Posted Sun, 10/25/2009 - 08:35 — little miss sno...I just wanted to know on a scale of one to ten what do you think the lineup is? Think it's an 9 because it has mostly Christmas movies.

they show harry potter at hallow ween thanks giving christmas summer and every other day give it a break come on we had enough of it
well, it depresses me to see so much harry potter as well as the incredibles instead of more christmas type movies. didnt even see three days or even a christmas story. however it is better than last year though, but not much.
on a scale of 1-10, i give it a 5. but compared to 25 days when it first started and was full of christmas shows, id have to give it a 2.
why oh why do the powers that be find that harry freakin potter is so full of christmas cheer? i mean really!!! but i will watch the christmas shows and i will enjoy a brief time of warm fuzziness that only christmas time brings
they show a christmas story on tbs.they do a 24 hour marathon of it that starts on christmas eve.
Seems like more Harry Potter than ever. And no Christmas Every Day!They usually show it every year and I missed it last year
25 Day's of Christmas was better when they first started doing it.
You asked on a scale of 1-10 what i thought of the 2009 lineup?...Ummm...maybe a 6. It's better than last year, but not by much. I am disappointed they're not showing Jim Carey's THe Grinch this year. That's a good one.
As for Harry Potter...i think darkmistress needs to get a grip. Harry Potter is about witchcraft, not Christmas. Yes, there are some Christmas scenes...but its not a Christmas movie. BTW, I've read all 7 books and have seen the 6 movies thus far...
I was thinking the same thing. I however, think it's more like a 4 or 5 rating this year. I mean I still see some of my favorites, but what happened to "Christmas Everyday!!" My daughter loved that movie. Also, even though they come on when the children should be sleep, why have "The Wedding Singer, and The Wedding Planner" as a part of the lineup? It just seems that there are a lot of non-family movies this year.
It almost seems like once they found out that people actually look forward to their holiday programming that they screwed it all up just to mess with our heads. I haven't seen anyone make any of the shows that they put up on their line up. It also seems like the count for the 25 days of christmas is better than the actual 25 days of christmas. Bummer!!

i cant believe they arent playing the polar express OR how the grinch stole christmas. well ABC family just *fudged* my "wonderful" christmas time this year. what the heck does tarzan, hercules, harry potter, charlie and the chocolate factory, have anything to do with freaking christmas?! If it's called the coundown to 25 days of christmas, shouldnt it have more christmas movies other than those, non related ones?I mean come on. I know some people think harry potter is related to it, no its not, the books and movie just take place DURING christmas time, the whole movie isnt about christmas...so yeahh. dont say that it should be on there, cause it SHOULDNT. in my opinion, i really think they should play polar express and how the grinch stole christmas, because those two are really great christmas movies and i wait every year to watch them on abc, but this year i guess imma watch some other channel :/

i think they will play those movies, just not during the countdown but during the actual 25 days
I have just printed the 25 days of christmas programming list. you do get the november and december list and they do have the polar express. Have a happy holiday season this year.
halloween and christmas doesnt really go together. christmas is a Christian and Catholic holiday and witchcraft is against our beliefs so i dont think its really appropriate to have Harry Potter on the 25 days of Christmas lineup
i agree.

Christmas only comes once a year, so I think most people would rather watch Christmas movies. You can watch Harry Potter any time of year. If you don't own the movie put it on your Christmas list if you like it so much. Some people don't read the books (or see the movie), so that's why they ask that question.
Ok to all those who ask "What Harry Potter has to do with Christmas?", get a freaking grip! If you've read the books and seen the films you would know why! Halloween and Christmas are very important features in the books and come to life in the films. Both are visually breathtaking holidays, Christmas is a magical time of year....get it? Good! Now back off and let the people who look forward to HP being a part of the 25 days of Christmas enjoy it!!!

Yeah I would like to know that too.
i will give an 8, does anybody know if there is a printable schedule yet??
yes they do have the printable schedule out. I just printed it out. you get both for november and december. I for one can't wait to put the ones I missed last year on dvr, to record later.
Have a safe and happy haliday season this year, stay safe all.
