The Three Kings
Posted Sat, 10/31/2009 - 19:17 — krchristmasI have been looking for the movie "The Three Kings" that was an ABC movie in December 1987 with Jack Warden for over 20 years. I watch the TV Christmas Schedules each year and have hoped that ABC Family might show this at least once since it was originally an ABC for television movie. I can't see the entire line-up of this year's 25 Days of Christmas yet but was wondering if anyone, including ABC knows where I could get a copy or if it could be put into the schedule at least once. If it were run, I am sure many could tape it. I think it is a timeless look at the Christmas story. I taped The Claymation Christmas Special that was on CBS at the same time thinking it would be a classic and watched "The Three Kings" Obviously, I wish now that I would have done this the other way around. There are several other people who have been looking for this as long as I, but this is not available to my knowledge on DVD or tape. Does anyone know where I could get a copy of what I believe to be a Christmas classic that ran only once? Better yet, is there any chance that ABC Family could share this treasure one more time on a broadcast? Thanks for any comment on this movie.

I am right there with you. I too have been looking every year for them to re-air this great Christmas story. I was a big fan of Sterling Silliphant after watching all of the old Route 66 shows on Nick at Night. What a great writer. Then, in 1987, I was watching this special and suddenly exclaimed, "this has to be a Sterlling production" and sure enough, he was the writer. I would love a copy...
