Where are all the Rankin Bass Classics?
Posted Tue, 11/03/2009 - 11:26 — tigerinatlantaDoes anyone know if the following will be shown on 12/12 and 12/24 under the "Holiday Classics Marathon" on the schedule? Most of these are shown at least once every year.
Little Drummer Boy (Book1 & 2)
First Christmas Snow
Rudolph and Frosty's Christmas IN July
Jack Frost (The Cartoon not the Movie)
Nestor the Long Eared Donkey
A Leprechauns Christmas Gold
Life and Adventures of Santa Claus
Pinnochio's First Christmas
Cricket on the Hearth
Stingiest Man in Town
If not I am going to be very hot under the collar

Thanks Fab Four. Well at least they are showing most of them, although I dont understand why they wont show those two at least once.
Gotta love the 7 AM prime time spot for "The Life and Adventures of Santa Claus". Good thing I have a DVR. They should have eliminated one of the Santa Claus showings and kept all the Rankin Bass stuff together.
The Rankin/Bass version of "The Life and Adventures of Santa Claus" truly deserves more than one airing. It is neglected compared to the more popular specials. I think it has more fans than people realize.
It has been my favorite Christmas program since I was very young. I want it on DVD desperately, but until that happens, we need ABC Family to give it more respect. Please!
Dear Rankin/Bass fan if you go onto ioffer.com you can get a copy of The Life and Adventures of Santa
Claus. They also have other Rankin/Bass shows. I hope this helps you.
I think all of them will be on, except for Cricket on the Hearth and Stingiest Man in Town. Here is the complete schedule:
