Hey ABC Family...guess what...you cancelled the Middleman...I just cancelled you from my Direct Tv! Ha! Piss off!
This show is the greatest show I've ever seen. I'm a broke college student, but I still paid the $30 for the dvd in hopes that good dvd sales might spark a comeback for the middleman. Is there anything else we (as fans) can do to help renew the show?? Thanks to this show, Monday became my favorite day of the week!
This is my first post at abc family. I am older but love the show's pokes at our culture. It allows us to take a look at ourselves and not take life too seriously. And it's a good escape - now that's entertainment.

Ugh There is no point. The network is to hung up promoting Greek seriously? I could not get thru 5 minutes of that show. After the middle man left for the season i started watching kyle xy and then I got all my hopes up hoping that they would bring Middle man back and they didn't. So i'm madd! They would get more viewers if they kept all their good shows and didn't put them on at retarded times like 10 O'clock for middle man that was too late thats why I watched when it came on at 9 or 8 I can't remember thats why I wsh they would bring it back! Okay, not for that reason but I still want them to bring it back. Im not watching ABC Family anymore!

i don't think it was well advertised of well because i dint even know what day it was on at first or what time and when i did figure it out i loved it and never missed an episode i say more advertising and a better time and day the if it fails cancel it but u cant give up after the first try hardly anything goes rite the first time

They did the exact same thing for Kyle XY, no promotion. And yet, they're promoting Secret Life and Greek like crazy. Go figure...

I also want to add that I think you should bring back Middleman. I was one of the few shows that was funny and I knew that I could watch it with anyone of any age. My whole family really enjoyed it.
I am very disappointed to hear The Middleman may not be renewed for Season 2 but, this isn't the first excellent show that a network dropped, and it won't be the last. For some reason the crap shows stay on the air and the fantastic shows just go away without even a word to the fans why! GO FIGURE! If only the studios would spend more time and money to promote shows like this they would reach more of a fan base faster and get the feedback they need to cast judgement. By the time the fans find these shows the networks already made the decision to drop them and it's a losing battle trying to get them to change their minds. My son told me about this show and we started watching it every week at his house. We made a night of it having dinner while watching the show. I really fell in love with the show and am having a hard time understanding how some of these shows (as good as they are) get dropped. Blood Ties was one of my favorite shows and with all the Vampire madness out there I'm at a loss who at that network made the decision to can the show. Had it been promoted better (just like this show should have been) it would have been another Saga like the Twilight explosion. Best Vamp show ever and no reason given for the show being canceled. You would assume the networks check out these blogs to see what the fans are saying but it's doubtful or the shows would still be on! Each time a good show is taken off the air a truly stupid show comes on and makes us all scratch our heads wondering how the decision was made. I stopped watching Lifetime when my show went off the air and ABC family will be the next channel I stop watching. The only shame of that is the network never knows why an individual stops watching their station and probably doesn't care! How can anyone not think this show is the freakin funniest program ever?????
I completely agree. I see more commercials for the movies ABC Family shows (for one time showings!) than i EVER saw for the Middleman, and I'm a regular ABC Family watcher! I feel like with better advertising (not just on ABC Family but on other networks that the company owns (like ABC and Disney)) and a better time slot (COME ON- 10 PM!?! My parents yell at me to go to bed at 10:30 even if it is during the summer, ABC Family was knocking out half of it's potential audience by having it so late) this show would have been AMAZING.
Hopefully another network will pick up the Middleman, it doesn't seem to fit in with the other shows like TSLAT and Kyle XY and Greek. This show is far better, maybe a better network would help.

WE should all log on to scfi channel -blogs and email them, let know this show needs saved and has major support - blog the hell out of it - no one AT ABC FAMILY is reading the 1000's AND THOUSAND OF PLEAS TO SAVE THIS GEM OF SHOW!!!
Please do not cancel The Middleman. I know it does not really match perfectly with ABCFamily but it is an awesome show. Please give it another chance to gain more of an audience. It is quality TV in a sea of the "same old". I love the comedy, quick and witty banter, and I think I like every singe character on the show. I have been watching ABCFamily more and more and that has been because of The Middleman and Kyle XY.
Hoopefully USA network, TBS, or SciFi will pick up the Middleman.
It's one of two shows I actually have a reminder set for in my Outlook file.

The Middleman is one of my favorite shows from last year. I really hope it comes back. My DVR is all ready for it. Please don't cancel it.

Why is it that every time a well written, acted and directed show comes on the air that some executive somewhere up the chain pulls it without giving it a chance? It makes me crazy. Same thing happened with Dead Like Me. Never joined a site to comment before this, but I've got to do something to try and keep this show on the air.

i can honestly say i have never expressed interest in abc family as a channel but i downloaded a episode like a week before it actually aired and i was hooked. since they dont air reruns i havent watched the channel since. i still hold hope for a new season as i left the setting on my dvr to record new episodes. at least i have the episodes on my laptop to watch whenever i want
This was my absolute favorite show on TV last year. This was the only program I watched with any interest. It reminded me of The Avengers from the 1960s. Both girls were artist. In both shows they were government middlemen. In both shows they battled strange enemies. I finally find a show I want to watch, I can’t wait to see…typical. Let me throw that one season of Firefly back on.
How could they just take the middleman off the air? I love the middleman. It's the one show that was able to make me happy no mattter how sad i was. I fully intend to stop watching abc family unless Kyle XY. I can't believe they would put a second rate show and take a perfectly good show off the air.
I would kill for this show to continue! I nearly died when the season was over and I think I WOULD die if they didn't continue the story. The Middleman was an AMAZING show, the only reason it isn't reaching it's full potential is because of that second rate show The Secret Life of the American Teenager. That show is a waste of time and money, there is enough pain and horror in real life and we don't need to show that to anyone. Something that makes me really angry is that The Middleman kept being pushed back to later times and it was claimed that it was because it wasn't appropriate for younger viewers. But a show about sluts, sex, and false love is? ABC Family has clearly lowered their standards of producing good wholesome shows if they do not continue with The Middleman. I'm making a Middleman website for all the mourners that this show might not possibly come back, I'll post the link soon!!!!

AAARGH! This is a GREAT show! Why is it that shows with intelligent, witty dialogue do not get renewed?!?!?! (e.g. Arrested Development) This was the only show I watched on ABC Family. And I was surprised that it was on here. Like a previous poster said, it's too smart for this network. But if it doesn't see how smart the show is, I am not watching anything else on this network anyway.
The letter I sent to ABC Family:
I've been hearing rumors, and other more concrete things, that the
network is not considering a second season of the wonderfully witty
The Middleman. I believe that that would be the worst move that this
network could ever possibly make. It is the best show that has ever
been picked up or created by ABC Family; in all honesty, I watched
other shows on ABC Family just because I respected the network that
would host The Middleman.
The Middleman has a wonderful set of actors: Natalie Morales
(possibly the best actress to hit the screenstage in the past few
years), Matt Keeslar, Jake Smollett, Brit Morgan, Brendan Hines,
and Mary Pat Gleason (wow, is she a hoot!)... The creator is one of
the most brilliant persons of whom I have ever had the pleasure to
hear. Have you read those comics? I shall assume that you have; I
only read them because this show was so stupendous. Writers who -
since they have the best characters and plot schema with which to
work - have created something truly special. This is THE BEST
television program ever created, no qualms about it.
If The Middleman is not brought back for continuing seasons I will
not watch ABC Family again. This isn't a threat, or some other
selfish stunt; I simply couldn't physically watch any of the other
wonderful shows on the network if I knew that The Middleman would
never be playing there again. It would be sad, because I do enjoy
many of the other television programs (even the slightly cheesy
Secret Life of an American Teenager, which I might add will be
entering its second season very soon) hosted on the channel.
Please, I beg you, do not make this unwise decision: do not cancel
The Middleman. It would be like cutting your own throat - the show
will continue to draw devoted fans by the bushel-load (believe me:
all of my friends at school have now become as addicted as I have).
This marvelous show must remain on the air for others to enjoy.
My suggestion: show reruns of the entire first season, host a
marathon, draw attention to the show. Once people catch the first
season, they'll be salivating for the next.

The middleman was the only show I ever watched on ABC Family. I thought the channel was pretty much a joke, however when the Middleman premiered I was hooked. I even started watching other shows on the network just because I might catch a repeat. If the show is canceled I wont be coming back to this network. The middleman is actually too smart for this network but they somehow managed to pick it up. If they made the mistake of dropping, my spending dollars will be going to another network.
This is my first ever post and probably my last but I just had to say my piece. I love the Middleman and I really, really want to see it return for a second season. I started watching it because Matt Keeslar is from my city so it got a bit of extra press here. But, if it hadn't been good, I would have quit watching. I loved it so much I talked about it to all of my friends and now several of them are just as hopeful it will come back as I am. My dad even loved watching it - wouldn't miss it. I was on a 3-wk vacation and I had one of my friends DVR it for me. That was one of the first things I had to do when I got home. Please bring it back for a 2nd season. I know it will draw many more viewers if given a chance.

I'm so hoping this show gets renewed. You know, I agree...I believe Natalie is without a doubt one of the best actresses to hit the scene in years. I love her style and wit. Oh man! If anything I want this show to continue for her. She deserves it.
If a dvd comes out, i'll definitely buy it. I'm "weaning" myself off of cartoons and this show was more than perfect. IT'S MY FAVORITE SHOW ON TV.

I've been loving this show since I found it on itunes and now have the wife hooked. This show is much better than Chuck and the best new show I've seen in a while. Please don't let this show die. It's the only reason for me to watch ABC family and, after they kill Pushing Daisies, the only show I'll watch on ABC.

I absolutely love The Middleman. This is the only show I currently watch on ABC Family but I encourage literally everyone else I know to watch it, so they too can enjoy the smartest, snappiest sci-fi show on TV. I plan on buying the DVD set of Season 1 as soon as it is available (and maybe even one of the t-shirts in blue if I have extra cash).
Consider this post me humbly begging the good people at ABC Family to keep this show on the air. The Middleman is the most uniquely fun, charming romps I've watched in ages. I had literally forgotten that they made shows like this after watching (several, successful seasons) of 'The Adventures of Brisco County, Jr.'. You have a cult classic on your hands and it just needs to find more of an audience.
Please don't shoot yourself in the foot, ABC Family, by throwing away a devoted, fanatical fanbase like the one that exists for The Middleman. Even if The Middleman isn't your cuppa tea, I'd suggest shopping around to other networks, such as Sci-Fi or USA, to keep this wonderful show alive. Still, I hope it won't come to this and that you'll continue to demonstrate the good taste and commitment to quality television that brought you to air The Middleman in the first place.
Thank you for giving us 12 wonderful episodes and I look forward to seeing even more of the total, undiluted awesome that is this show.

As many others on this site have said. I wouldn't normally watch ABCFamily except that my 16 year -old daughter watches almost everything they have on and I just happened to catch a commercial for MiddleMan. I was home on the appointed night and tuned in and found my new favoritest show in the whole world. It's funny and complex and is actually something that my daughter and I both enjoy. Anything that can bring a 31 year-old man together with his teenage daughter in a good way has to be a good thing. Please bring back Wendy and Lacey and Noser and MM and Ida and everyone else in the Middleverse for another go. I have gotten a lot of my friends into the show through the downloads on XBox360 and I am dying for the dvd's to be released with or without extras.
They should totally sell MM jackets!! i would so buy one!! haha..
I'm really hoping for the Middleman to be renewed. When it first aired, I had never heard of its comic before, and my mother and sister said the commercials made it look a bit bizarre, but I gave it a chance. We watched the pilot episode together and loved it! Throughout the summer we looked forward to every Monday to see every new adventure of Wendy and the Middleman. (I must admit that along the way I developed a crush on Matt Keeslar. xD) If the show was taken away, I'd be devastated. I was so inspired that I put together a Middleman costume. Whenever someone asks, "What are you being for Halloween?" I tell them. Unfortunately, I've only had one person recognize the series, but hopefully I can draw more people into it by "advertising", if you would call it that.
Because of the show I've been introduced to new horizons. Even if the Middleman gang is "fighting crime so we won't have to", now it's our time to put out our opinions to save them!

Yes, they need to renew The Middleman!!! Its intelligent and funny! I can't stand all the stupid stuff on tv these days and although this show is cartoony its not stupid! Its fun and I want more!!!!! I have even gotten others to watch the show and they want more too! Please bring back The Middleman! I have a friend who says they didn't even film the last episode that was written, what is that all about? We want more MM!!!!
I am not one to usually post comments to 'fan' message boards. However, I felt compelled to take the time to register, login, and post a message. I too really enjoyed The Middleman. I would not normally have watched a show on ABC Family but I saw it as a free download on iTunes one day and checked it out. My wife and I loved the show and downloaded the season from iTunes. I would love to see more. I agree with many here that this was a show that hit a great missing market on TV those who can't stand reality crap and are getting bored with the hour long 'dramas' knockoffs. Great job on a fine job this summer, I hope we will see more. -- p.s. I would also love a Jolly Fats... t-shirt.
