Sadly, Middleman officially cancelled :-<

But at least the final episode will be released in comic book form:
"ABC Family has now confirmed that the show has been officially cancelled. But, the story isn’t over just yet. In a deal with Viper Comics (publisher of the original graphic novels), a special Middleman comic book will be released in July, just in time for the San Diego’s Comic Con.
Based on the unfilmed 13th episode (series finale), The Middleman - The Doomsday Armageddon Apocalypse graphic novel will be written by co-creator/executive producer Grillo-Marxuach and Hans Beimler. It’ll be illustrated by Armando M. Zanker and co-creator/executive producer McClaine. If they stick to the original script, we’ll find out how Middleman developed his old-fashioned, upright persona."
I tried to watch a few episodes but , it wasn't really enticing .... But , sad it 's beign cancelled .
This is not good at all.A very unexpected move by the ABC Family.The Middleman was such a great show with unique stories and characters.But now as it has been canceled,I don't feel good about the ABC Family now.Please bring it back if possible.

I officially have zero reason to watch ABC Family then.
Another horrible exec move by ABC family. I will never understand why they'd choose to promote the Secret Life of the American Teenager crap and not renew their BEST and most promising show The Middleman. It makes no sense. If ABC wants to keep me as a viewer (an 18yr old female - a prime audience) make smarter decisions. (And scrap Secret Life, it's complete drivel.)
This is incredibly lame. Just another reason I no longer need ABC family. The Middleman was such a great show with unique stories and characters. I also loved the humor in it.
So now why do I watch ABC family now? Pfft only thing I can think of is That 70's Show... but there are like two other channels with that on it. lol

They didn't give this show a chance, the actors were just getting into their characters. Curse you ABC Family. You could have made it fit in with the rest of your "family" programming by adding some gays of pregnant teens instead of cancelling it.
I think this is sad. Most shows that are on tv and even on abc family arent very family orientated. I don't feel that I am to terribly conservitave we watch these shows but the incedents of teen drinking and sex is to common on this channel and on other channels drug use and violence also. I realize that these are issues that teens have faced for many generataions. But as the parent of younger kids also it was nice to watch a show that everyone in the family enjoyed and could watch without the image of teenagers drinking and being sexually active seeming like it is generally the way teens should act ( I know it is what happens but should it really seem so much like it is acceptable?) the only channels that don't show all this stuff so you could watch with younger kids is disney and nick and those shows are kinda boring for the adults. The middleman was fun and wholesome for the whole family. It promoted some of the better qualities like honesty and doing the right thing. It helped to put the family back in abc family. So it is too bad that the one show that I felt family worthy is being canceled after only one season. I guess abc family should change their name to abc older kids with proper guidence channel

I agree, I thought this show was hilarious. My kids are young(under 5) and the older one would have had no problem watching this with me. American teen-whatsit is ridiculous with what they are promoting. The channel is definitely geared for 14+. I would like if they reconsidered and brought back The Middleman and Samurai Girl. Both good shows and much more family friendly than say, Greek. Although Middleman was a bit more than Samurai Girl but it was still good.

I think we should let ABC Family know exactly how we feel about this and boycott the rest of their shows. That's what we've done since the announcement was posted. Without The Middleman, we don't miss their programming at all and it is such a RELIEF not to have to see those ads for The Secret Life of An American Teenager over and over and over and over - -

BOO! I think this was a bad move to cancel this show.
. If this comes to fruition, I hope Fox picks up , "The Middleman" and runs them into top five status for prime time tv.

Oh no! This is so sad!! I will post a separate thread with the full article... thanks so much for providing the link! At least we will receive some sort of closure with the comic...
