Posted Tue, 03/03/2009 - 15:03 — TRUE_SECRET_TEENAGERAmy thinks she will be a good mother... but that need some some serious questioning!!! i think she i think she is treating like she is getting a new puppy... she is like "ohh ill take good care of it" "i promise ill be a good mom" to me honest i said the same thing when i wanted a dog (i got her) lol.. last night i was yelling @ the TV when she said that "OMG IT NOT A PUPPY U DONT JUST FEED IT WHEN U FEEL LIKE IT!!!!!!!" maybe im wrong... i hope i am that baby need to takin care of with serious conditions!!!! wat do u guys think??

Aww, come on! Now he gets to be raised to be a whiny, immature, manwhore, just like his parents! *sigh* They'll be so proud!

I TOTALLY agree! It's like "I PROMISE I'll take care of it! Please Mom! Please! I'll be really responsible!" It's crazy! I feel sorry for the poor baby!

i agree, all the talk is 'are yo ugoing to keep the baby' ?? and 'its your baby, you have to take care of it'. use accurate language.
And fwi, when 15 year olds see a baby they do act like it's a puppy.
"Omg he's so cuuute can I hold him?!"

I believe it takes a lot for anyone to grow up. She loves the baby but by all respects probably wont fully grow up until he is born and she is taking care of him. No one knows how hard baby's are or what it truly is to be a mother until the child is born. Yes right now people are treating this a little like a dog but remember they are 10th graders or younger. So they have no idea, neither does Amy but she is about to find out. I think she will come around and be a good mother in the end.
But, is it right for the poor child to be surrounded by 10th graders who are still growing up? It is better for the child to have already grown people parent it, care for it, financially support it (Without living off someone else in the family or someone elses tax money?) Let the child have a more fighting chance with a settled adult couple who want to have a child to bring more love into the world, to GIVE love to another, not to have a puppy who will GIVE love to the mother.
I guess we need to realize when we read many of these posts, that they are written by teens who are STILL growing up and not grown. Of course they have not grown to the point yet where most comprehend what the older ones already see and have experienced, anymore than a five-year old can understand what a 10-year-old knows or a 10-year-old understands what an older teen knows...

I concede to your point and never said she did the right thing in keeping the child. I really care what she choose as long as it was right for the child from the beginning. I am willing to ride this out and see if she made the right or wrong choice. We will not know until next season. I'm not trying to start any type of fight I was just stating my feelings. Truthfully the way everyone has been acting points to adoption possibly being better but I still believe in what I said... That it takes a lot to grow up and maybe she will after the child is born you never know. As for the friends I do not think they will help as much as they are saying. Maybe Grace but the rest of them no.
lol its a show...but she will take care of him.
I love Nora Elizabeth!
TRUE_SECRET_TEENAGER is so right. (It shows not all teens think with their emotions but use some brains.) Maybe at the shower they should all bring her doggie treats and a nice collar for the poor child.
Wait, make it a rhinestone covered collar because the puppy will be just so cute!

I think she'll take care of him, and I think she has a lot of great support. She now has a job, insurance, daycare, an education, etc.

I'd rather die believing there is a God and find out there's not then die denying He exists and find out there is
I know it sounds like that but I really think she will make a good mother and a good aunt to her new brother or sister as well.

Lol, my friend said almost the EXACT same thing when I was telling her about that part of the episode today. Used the whole puppy analogy and everything. Haha.

It was hysterical - at that point I started to wonder if the show is meant to be a comedy or something.
I think your on to something there. Your right. But the show wouldnt go on if Amy did not keep her baby. But what you are saying makes sence. But if Amy is really commited (witch she will have to) to this baby then I think she will be a great mom. I mean there are a lot of good teen moms out there.
When life gives you lemons, make grape juice and have the world wonder how you did it!!!!!!!!!!!
I think she thinks she can be a good mother and wants to do what's best for her son. But knowledge without experience is pretty much ignorance and the baby deserves to be placed in a loving home with two stable parents.
Lol aw, I think she'll take care of him.
