Chapter 2: http://community.abcfamily.go.com/forums/shows/-secret-life-american-tee...

Yay for chapter 3.

Sam watched through the back window of Kyle's black '67 Chevy Impala. She smiled knowing her mother was still upset about her morning adventure. She turned around in her seat and kissed Kyle on the cheek. He glanced over at her, his eyes landing on her chest. Normally she would raise all hell about it, but right now she was celebrating a little victory. Shortly after their argument she had fallen ill, the piggy flu probably. After lunch she was bed ridden and just as her aunt Melissa came over, she was out of there. Not going to catch the piggy flu from you, no way in hell your going to ruin that part of my life. She smiled at the thought. Serves you right.
“So where you taking me?” Sam said watching as houses and cars passed by. She felt free and damn near indestructible.
“Oh you will see.” He said adjusting the rear-view mirror. “Samantha, sorry about being a complete jackarse this morning. But your mother...” He trailed off for a moment. Sam followed his line of sight and saw a gruesome image. A man was staggering as if drunk, his shaggy head was showing signs of balding almost as if someone had ripped the hair right off the scalp. His eyes were vacant, but still managed to possess a certain sense of knowing where he was going. Large soars covered his body, and looked as if it was decaying right there on the bones.
“My God whats wrong with him?” Sam said. She covered her mouth, feeling her lunch slowly rise in her throat. Holding it back she felt the car to pick up speed, the engine roaring louder.
“Hell if I know.” He said. Sam looked turned in her seat and looked as a police officer was trying to talk to him. Not wanting to witness anymore, she turned around and curled close to Kyle.

They arrived at their destination ten minutes later, by then the sight of that man had been vanquished from their minds. They pulled up into a parking lot used by campers. Lanton had a very well known and popular spot for campers. Although Raccoons were sometimes a problem, giving it a amusing nickname 'Raccoon Forest' The pesky animals were worth dealing with. Kyle got out of the car, and being a gentleman opened hers. Sam looked up at him and wonder, there was no doubt they were in a relationship.
“Could you give me a hand?” Kyle said as he popped open the trunk. In the back was a picnic basket and a blanket. Sam frowned.
“You can't carry that by yourself? And here I thought you were a strong man.” She teased.
“No, with this.” Kyle whispered, pulling a long red rose from behind his back. Sam took the rose from him. Inhaling the fragrance she let out a long sigh. She wrapped her arms around his neck, Sam could feel his strong arms wrap around her. They stood their kissing. Breaking apart he said. “I have a lot to make up for.” He tucked her strawberry blonde hair behind her hair and smiled. “Come.” He said and grabbed her arm. They walked along one of the many hiking paths that crisscrossed through the area. The path twisted and turned, and the further they went the sound of rushing water filled the air. Sam smiled, she thought the route had looked familiar. She squeezed his hand gently. They came to a clearing, a small waterfall feeding into one of four creeks that ran through the Lanton Forest. Kyle set down the basket and laid the blanket down. The meal was small, but incredible. He had packed a few fruits, two small deli style sandwich, and an assortment of other foods.
“Again I am sorry I have been distant lately.” He said after they finished. “Home has been hell lately.” Sam rested her head against his chest, she could hear his heart beat and feel his chest rise and fall with ever breath. “You remember Jim, well him and dad were going at it again. Almost broke out into fist fight. Only thing stopping it was, and I quote “I ain't touchin no queer.” Jim sighed. “That and a whole mess of things.” Sam had met Jim a few times, and sadly one of them was on the day he came out to his family. They had been in the living room watching a movie. When Jim came into the room and blurted out. She would never forget the look on his face as he said it didn't realize why until his dad started off on one of his rampages.
“I didn't know, I thought he moved out?” Sam whispered.
“Yeah well mom, good old mom, thought it be a good idea to try and reconcile things between them.
“Why didn't you talk to me about this? I could have helped you deal with it.” She grabbed his hand and kissed it.
“Simple, I would have gone on about what a terrible dad I have. Seemed unfair considering...” He paused. “Sorry I couldn't make it to the funeral.” Sam frowned, tears blurring her vision.
“Three weeks,” She began sobbing into his shirt, not caring that she was being watched, not giving a damn about anything. Kyle wrapped his arms around her, trying his best not to cry.

Jason stood in horror, his eyes glued to the creature... no human, that stood behind the viewing window. Large sores had covered the majority of its body. Its eyes were vacant, as if the soul had just left the body. He pressed his open palm against the window. He had seen fellow soldiers being blown apart, shot, beheaded, and even took witness to a torture chamber in an African Dictator's Palace. None of these could come close to what this small building housed.

Wesker had led Jason into an underground bunker. He had heard rumors of the place, never paid much attention to them though. The rumors had claimed it to be a failed bunker in case of Nuclear War. Some claimed it was just another place for storage. The rumors were as varied as a mans imagination. The truth it was used to study biological material. From bacteria to people suffering from the diseases. Jason had spent much of his military life on the Lanton Military Base, and he felt as if it held more secrets. Next week he would probably find out it was built on a old Indian Burial ground, have ourselves our very own Pet Semetary.

The part of the Research Facility he was in housed the unfortunate souls to contract deadly diseases, stuff the public wasn't even aware of. The rooms were identical: A small cot in one corner, a small nightstand and white walls. Each room had a single door and a viewing window, bullet resistant for staff safety. Wesker had been so kind as to inform him that on most occasions the rooms were empty, but of recently they have full, sometimes having to house several people at once.

“Are you going to stand there all day or can I take you to your aunt and uncle?” Wesker said, his voice smooth and calm. Jason tore his hand away from the glass and nodded.
“Whats...” Jason said trying to find his voice.
“Wrong with them?” Wesker said, his voice grating on Jason's nerves. “A new virus seems to have caught us off guard, but then who could have predicted this? The H1N1 virus, yes that pesky little Swine Flu, seems to be the cause of all this. Apparently it had mutated.”
“What the hell?” Jason shouted, “shouldn't we be in biohazard suits or something?” Wesker paused for a moment, as if to consider his words carefully.
“No. No that is no longer needed. Apparently this strain can only be transmitted through body fluids. Blood and saliva mostly. The virus is incapable of surviving outside a host.”
“How are my aunt and uncle involved in this?” Jason asked, trying to suppress his anger.
“Several of these... ghouls as the great George A Romero might call them.” Wesker laughed a little, “they were found in the hotel your parents were staying at. Turns out they are indeed infected.”
“You mean they bit them?” Jason said, now trying to hold back his lunch.
“That's the funny thing, they weren't.” Wesker said and stopped. “You are wondering how them?” He looked over his shoulder, a smug smile on his face. “Well that's a bit of a secret.”
“Jason!” Martha shouted, her hand slapping against the glass. Jason turned and could see his aunt and uncle through the window. His uncle, scratching like a madman, was sitting on the cot cursing. He looked up to his wife, a starved look in his eye. Then his eyes flicked to Jason. He could have sworn her heard Gerald's stomach growl.
“Jason, how the hell you doing?” Gerald said wetting his lips. “You think you can do anything for us? Bastards won't tell us anything. Keep poking and prodding with their damned needles.”
“Gerald! Watch your language.” Martha said.. Jason noticed that she too was scratching. Her skin looked raw.
“What the hell am I? 4 years old?” Gerald got off the cot and came to the viewing window.
“I'm doing ok... how about you?” Jason had to force the words passed the lump in his throat. If the other rooms occupants had told him anything, it was that people infected with this virus would only become a... zombie. The thought felt odd. Up until now he had considered Zombies a thing of pure fiction. The dead just stay dead. They don't get up and walk around, let alone feast on the flesh of humans. Impossible, yet he could see the turning slowly taking place within his Aunt and Uncle. The same couple who took him in when his parents died. The same couple who fully supported him when he joined the military at a fragile age of 18. Proud, scared to death and even jokingly tried to bribe him to stay home, but proud.

I just love putting small cameos into this story. Sticking out tongue

Nice one. It was fun to see the start of the Zombies. I wonder what kind of a secret is connected with the aunt and uncle. Something specific about their DNA and the way it reacts to the virus maybe? And damn a picnic? That doesn't bode well. I am guessing either a sudden transformation into a zombie, outside zombie attack or rape. Or my favorite a prime view for your city getting nuked Sticking out tongue

P.S I think you missed a would in :Next week he probably find out it was built on a old Indian Burial ground, have ourselves our very own Pet Semetary.

I loved it, especially the Sam & Kyle part, simply because I'm a sucker for romance (: The only thing was you spelled a few words wrong, like "soar" when you meant to say "sore", "Semetary" when you meant to write "Cemetery", "their" when you meant to write "there", etc. Overall nice job though.

Today I was eating a cupcake when the phone rang. I panicked and stuffed the entire cupcake into my mouth. I still don't know why I did that. MLIA

Actually Semetary is spelled right, atleast as far as the kids in Stephen Kings Pet Semetary are concerned. Pet Semetary is a book about a burial ground used by an old Indian tribe and if you burry a dead animal/human they will become back to life. Though definitely not the way they were before their deaths...

Yeah to bad Kyle is a... eh well nvm.

I always mess up on my Theres. I know the difference and such, but sometimes my fingers just don't want to type them in their proper use. Sticking out tongue

As for the sores part, didn't realize it.

Thank you for reading Smiling

LoL okay, sorry I didn't know about those certain words being spelled that way and your intentions with them. I just got kind of excited because its rare to find a flaw in your writing when there are so many flaws in mine... haha.

Okay now you've got me wondering what Kyle is! Sticking out tongue

Meh this story is chalk full of errors and flaws and poor writing. Its just I can't be bothered to go back and edit them and change words. Though I will have to keep an eye out once December comes. Sticking out tongue

Yeah well Kyle...

nvm. Sorta feel sorry for Samantha though.
