ABC Family: Unit7 The First Time by Unit7.

The First Time by Unit7.

I was inspired to write this story after a conversation I had earlier today.

The First Time.

Alex stood in her small bathroom, her eyes avoiding her eyes reflection. As she slowly applied a rosy pink lip gloss, her ears wandered back towards her young son playing in the next room. She smiled, the battle over the Couch seemed to be going in his favor. After the lip gloss, her thin lips obtaining a nice moist look, she began to slowly apply her Mascara. The eye contact made Alex feel dirty, she was a mother to the sweetest 5 year old, how could she be considering this? She inhaled deeply, and let out a long sigh. It was precisely because of him, she concluded.

She left the small bathroom and entered the living room. Ben was jumping on the old worn couch, his hands occupied with a Spider-man figurine and a Dr. Octopus. In the other. He bashed them together, and altering his voice as he fought. Alex smiled and folded her arms, she could stand here all night. Ben continued with his playing for awhile until the caught a glimpse of Alex.
“Wow,” he whispered. His brown baby doe eyes growing large.
“So, how does mommy look?” She said, gesturing towards her green cocktail dress.
“Purdy.” he said revealing his missing front tooth. “ew does this mean you got cooties?” He tilted his head sideways. Alex scrunched up her face and waggled her tongue at him.
“Care to find out?” She teased, taking exaggerated monster steps towards him. Ben dropped his action figures immediately.
“Get away!” He jumped up into the air and leapt across the small living space. He then dashed into his room and slammed his door shut. Alex smiled, the nights coming events silenced for the moment. She walked over towards the couch and picked up the two action figures. There was a light knocking on the door, waking Alex from her small fantasy of a house and white picket fence.
“Coming,” Alex said. She opened the door to reveal her best friend Sarah.. She had black hair, with dark red highlights.
“Well don't you look sexy,” Sarah said smiling. Alex smiled back, but as their eyes met she was reminded. Her facial expression was a facade, her large mournful eyes revealed the truth. Sarah noticed Alex's change of expression. “I can loan you the money,” she whispered.
“No you can't.” Alex said and tried to smile, but felt her glossed lips felt heavy. “your as broke as I am.”
“Alex, please.” She grabbed her hand. Alex pulled it away and turned her head. They stood there at the door for several moments in silence. Neither of them knowing what to say. Alex broke the tension by grabbing Sarah's arm and pulling her into the apartment.
“Just look after Ben, will you?” Alex asked, pleading with her eyes.
“Of course I will,” Sarah said, “Just be careful.”
“Ben!” Alex called out.. Ben cracked open his door slightly his small eyes just visible. “Cooties,” Alex whispered. Sarah smiled. “Kiss mommy goodbye?” Ben fully opened the door and slowly advanced towards her as if the slower he went, the less chances of catching cooties were. Alex bent down and plopped a nice big kiss on his cheek. Ben squirmed with discomfort causing Sarah to giggle. “Be good for Sarah,” When Ben calmed down he agreed and for the first time that night, mother and son made direct eye contact. Alex felt like crying, could feel the tears slowly build in her eyes. She closed her eyes tight and kissed him gently on the forehead. “Your my angel.”

When her ride arrived, Alex left the building and entered the twilight. She hated being outside at night. She remembered when she lived in a small town, she would love to sneak outside. Just to walk around the block a few times. Since coming to the city, she now feared the darkness. The distant sirens, off to protect a more wealthy neighborhood she thought, only made things worse for her. A limousine was parked out in front of her apartment building, the driver was leaning against the vehicle casually as if he didn't understand the neighborhood. When he noticed her, he pulled open the back door. She thanked the man as she entered the car. The stench of stale cigarettes assaulted her nostrils. She fought the urge to crinkle her face. A balding man with a rounding belly sat across from her, a wry smile on his face.
“Good evening,” he said grabbing her arm. Her instincts told her to pull it away, get out and go be with Ben. She suppressed the feeling. With his dry and cracked lip he planted a kiss on her hand. Alex smiled gently. He released her hand. “Its Alexis, isn't it?”
“Yes.” She said. As his eyes devoured her body, she wanted to cover up, wanted to be in a parka. As the chauffeur drove them to the party, they talked, or rather he talked. She knew her place, and to him she was simply a trophy. She nodded and smiled at the right places and agreed when necessary. All the while she had to fight the urge to cover herself.

The party was at a fancy hotel for a group of business executives. She knew her place and when he ordered something she didn't like, she just smiled. Knowing she was going to need the buzz. As she slowly sipped her drink, she tried to drown out the mindless talk. She smiled and nodded at the right places, laughed when appropriate. All the things needed in order to fake it.

The hours past and when her client was nice and liquored up, he produced a small card key with the hotel's logo emblazoned on it. She felt her stomach sink, she had dreaded this moment. Yet despite her dread, she found herself easily faking this as well. She placed a seductive smile on her lips and moved closer, the smell of alcohol and stale cigarettes growing stronger, and planted a gentle kiss on his lips. His nearby buddies wolf whistled in approval. Just part of the job, she thought wanting to cry. Eager to get into bed, the client led her towards the elevator. When the doors closed, his hands immediately began to roam her body. She cringed at his touch, wanted it to all stop. His hands found themselves under her dress, and she let out a whimper.
“Hey whats wrong?” He said. His well trained face expressing sympathy. Yet his hands continued to have their way with her.
“N-n-nothing,” she stammered.
“Well I have something that will keep it that way,” He winked as the doors pulled open. His grabbed her hand and pulled her into the room.
“Money first...” Alex whispered.
“How will I know if I will enjoy the services?” He said teasingly. He pushed Alex onto the bed and pulled his belt off. The image of her being tied flashed through her mind. “Fair enough,” He tossed the leather belt aside. He reached into his pocket and pulled out a thick wad of cash. Alex's eyes went wide, a weak plan formed in her mind to take the money, but she stopped. “Half now, half later.”

Alex closed her eyes, a few tears sliding down her cheek, as she heard him pull down his zipper and remove his pants.

[For Obvious Reasons I am unable to tell the rest of this scene... which is good because I didn't write it]

When the client was finished he dressed and left the rest of the payment on the dresser. He smiled and told her she was the best he had been with. She curled up on the bed and cried. She felt dirty and used. To ashamed to go home, she quickly dialed her home phone.
“Hello,” Sarah asked.
“Sarah,” Alex's voice sounded weak. She tried to hide her crying but she couldn't.
“Alex!” she nearly shouted. “Whats wrong?”
“Nothing, I am not going to be home until early morning...” Alex said quietly.
“Yeah... sure. I don't mind staying.” Sarah said soothingly.
“Is Benny awake?” Alex asked, wiping the tears from her face.
“It's three in morning...” Sarah said all to casually for her liking. “let me wake him.” Alex could hear Sarah place the phone on the counter. After a few moments a familiar groggy voice greeted her.
“Mommy?” Ben asked sleepily. Alex could picture her son in his spider-man pajamas wiping the sandman's sand from his eyes. She broke into tears. “Mommy where are you? Why are you crying. Alex froze, she couldn't tell him the truth, never could she tell him.
“Because I love you,” She said. She hung up the phone and curled under the covers crying.

The End.

If you were curious, the conversation was about Betty and her being a well Hooker. I thought I would write a story from a first time hooker's point of view. To see why she might begin turning tricks, and all the emotions she might feel.

Any comments are welcome.

Thank you. I was really hoping I could capture that desperate feeling some women can feel. Especially when they have a little kid. That and the disgust that some of their clients might be.

I completely understand the whole scale thing. Sticking out tongue

Well you have captured the desperate feeling that some women feel. Lol I felt it but I am not desperate nor do I have a kid, so that must mean you capture everyones feeling, which means you arr a great writter. Great work (again).

Aaaaaww! That was so good Unit! I loved the way you showed all the emotions. It made me cry! it's scary how many teens prostitute just to survive. This is really good. And it's real.

Thank you. It looks like I succeeded in trying to protray a desperate mother trying to scrape up some money. It is sad how so many people, both teens and adults, turn to prostitution to help support themselves. What makes it worse is when they have a child too.

It's very good. I like the way you right about real issues like prostitution and that story about the shooting. It's very good. I love the way you put the little boy in. It's so sweet. You emphasized that she's doing it for her kid, and she's not a bad person.

Thanks. I like writing about very realistic issues. Though I don't mind writing pure fantasy or Science Fiction either. But I think some of my better work were stories like this.

Adding the kid felt essential in trying to protray a good women who is forced into a living she hates. I mean just because someone sells their body for sex, it doesn't necessarily make them a bad person. Just someone desperate.

The last line was purely by mistake. But when I reread it in context, I fell in love with it. At first it was just a way to explain her crying. Then I realised her reasons for doing this and... well as they say the rest is history Big smile

And I never cry because of movies or books. I can watch people die and laugh about it. (Actually that's not true...I cried in Charlotte's Web when the spider died!! Bahaha! I care more about a nasty bug than a human. There's something wrong there.)

Maybe the truth is. . .
We hide to see who will look for us
We cry to see who will wipe our tears away for us
We build walls around our hearts to see who will climb over them
And we get our hearts broken to see who cares enough to fix it
