OT: Nemo is found! =D (12 weeks!)
Posted Fri, 10/02/2009 - 19:48 — xTSN2008xSome of you may have already known that my husband and I have been trying for a baby. On Friday, I took two pregnancy tests, and both were positive 
On Saturday, I took another one; that was positive, too!
10/7- This afternoon I had my doctor appointment, and everything was perfect! My little baby bean is definitely in there, growing My doctor estimated that I'm only about 4 weeks along; in a few weeks I'll have an ultrasound, just like Mrs. Jazz recently did.
11/12- Today, I had my ultra sound Everything was perfect! I’m measuring at 11 weeks, which is a little further along than my doctor originally thought. Tommy and I were pretty happy about that – it’s 2 weeks less we’ll be waiting for Nemo! Since we do have the ultra sound pictures now and I’m 11 weeks, we’re thinking that we’ll tell Nate very soon.
11/18- Tom and I told Nate tonight! Maybe it didn't go quite as planned, but that's okay. It was just great to finally tell Natie baby the news. At the moment, he's still wrapping his little head around the idea, and I think he's pretty excited about it 
Tom and I are just so happy to have been blessed with this tiny miracle. We want to thank all of you who have us, Nathan, and Nemo in your thoughts and prayers

I have a sister named Caroline and a sister names Natalie! That is too weird!
I'm sure you had a lot of fun coming up with all of these! My husband and I love making lists of our favorite names.
Thanks! Tom and his dad both just go by Tom, so we decided to shake things up a little with Tucker. Not sure if we'll even use it.
Haha, that's too funny! I love the name Caroline. It's probably #1 on my girl list for now.
We did. We have a ton more that we like, but these are our favorites. We've been coming up with names for a while now, even before we were really TTC. Do you have any children? Feel free not to answer.

Last night, Tom and I finally told Nate about Nemo. I hadn't really been feeling too great the last few days. Nothing major, just sick to my stomach. Nate, being a smart perceptive little guy, noticed that Mommy wasn't quite herself and asked if I was all right, was I sick, why was my belly hurting, etc. That eventually lead to Tom and I telling him about Nemo. Nate's biggest concern was whether or not he made me sick, too. Little does he know that he was so much worse
It was great to finally tell him that he's going to be a big brother, even if it didn't go how Tom and I planned. Nate's still wrapping his little head around the idea - it's different when Mommy's pregnant than when an aunt or friend is - and he's slowly becoming more and more excited about being a big brother

We were both so shocked! But, ecstatic. She looked at my chart from the last ultra sound she was called he. She looked at the screen and said..."that's a girl." lol. She's already the apple of her daddy's eye
He can't wait. 
She will be the first girl in my family for 18 years, lol.
We definitely make incredible friends. Ones that stick around forever. But orders come and someone has to go. Facebook is definitely the safest route to go. I like the private profile meaning just that. You can't see unless I add you as a friend. Too many creepers out there for me.

I'm sure a lot of people were shocked today! How did your mom take the news? I know you said she saw one of the pictures and thought boy, too. Aw, I can imagine! Tom's made comments about how if he ever has a little girl ..... And that was before we started being more serious about trying. Wow, 18 years! That's quite a long time. A lot of boys between then and now?
Same here. Even though I don't have one, I don't want to think about who could have access to my profile if it wasn't private. It must be hard seeing someone leave, esp if you become really good friends with them. At least you know you'll stay friends, and not "out of sight, out of mind."
Actually, I'm doing great, but felt sick yesterday and today. Nothing too bad, but jsut sick to my stomach. Espcially after dinner tonight. I think it was the smell of the potatoes, ones I normally love, that did me in. How have you been doing?

Yay! I'm so glad to hear you saw sun! You were probably so excited. I bet most of your town was, lol. I can't wait for snow either. But at the same time, I kind of don't want it to be freezing out yet. The temp. now is perfect.
And, I saw your reply from last night. I think worded what I said a bit wrong. When I said I can't wait for Thanksgiving, Nate will be home for a few days, I just meant holiday break from school. I'll have 3.5 extra days with him that he would otherwise be spending in the classroom.

Today was lovely! It was like 65, no clouds, and sunny. The weather here is really annoying. It goes from rainy, cold, and yucky one day to warm, sunny and lovely the next. We wish it would make up it's mind.
Oh haha whoops! I was like, "Where would Nate be?" Now I get it.
Hopefully those 3.5 days will be awesome.

Maggie + heat = bad. Not always, but sometimes. We just don't get along very well.
I know, but I am. He wants my mom to come get him and they were texting the other day and Andrew said "I know you wanna come get me." That kinda tells us that he misses us. And he was talking about how much he's looking forward to homecooked food. He was listing everything he wants for Thanksgiving dinner.

The main reason I love fall is because it's not too hot and not too cold. Just perfect for me.
I'm pretty sure he's excited for real food. I'm not sure. Probably all of it. For me? The ham and Au Gratin potatoes. Yum!

Yeah, that's a good part of fall. But don't you also just love the way the leaves change colors? Some of the trees in my area look so beautiful before all the leaves fall off. I absolutely love it!

True. Tom pretty much took care of ours by himself. Nate and I weren't much help. Esp me. I encouraged jumping in the big leaf piles
Stuffing is one of my favorite foods! I've always loved it.
I hope so. He was very concerned that he made me sick, too, before he was born. Little does he know that he was so, so much worse, haha. I'm not sure what to think yet. Tommy said he thinks Nemo's a girl. Is there a reason why you think so?

Yep, he will. He's more excited about it today than he was yesterday. As he's getting used to the idea he's getting more excited. It's a big change for him. I thought Mrs. Jazz was having a boy, too. I think there were quite a few surprised, yet very happy, people yesterday. We'll just have to wait and see if Nemo is a boy or a girl. You could be right.

That's awesome! I agree with that. I remembered about her appointment on the bus in the afternoon and I was anxious to get home and find out what it was. This is random- today my friend drew a family on my fingers and I named them Sarah, Tom, Nate, and Caroline.

I used to do that, too. We had the perfect little spot for it. Nate and I started one this year, but Riley destroyed it so we just gave up, haha.
I remembered her appt. Tuesday night, commented on her post, and then come Wednesday, totally forgot until I came on here and saw the title of the thread. I told Tommy, lol, and he just said, "yay?" He doesn't quite understand how close it is on here. Aww, that's cute. Caroline is definitely our favorite girl name at the moment. We still can't pick a definite middle name for it, though.

I remembered Tuesday night too, but then I forgot during the day Wednesday. lol I don't bother telling my mom, she doesn't know I come on here (I think). No one understand except for the people who actually come on here. Haha I enjoyed my finger family, but they didn't last long. I do love Caroline, it's so pretty. I don't know why, but I think Carly is such a cute nickname. (Sorry if I already said that.)

Mya used to eat leaves so much she'd get sick. You can look at the bright side and think, "at least Dexter doesn't do that." lol
Tom's known, and he came on for me a few weeks ago. Even after talking to a few people on here, he doesn't really get it. And it's too hard to explain. I'm sure your finger family was great for the time it lasted. Did your friend know you named them? I don't think you've said that. Tom and I think it's cute, but we don't like it as much as we like just Caroline.

lol I'm glad he doesn't, but we wouldn't have to clean them up if he did eat them. He eats sticks and anything else he sees.
I think you only really get it when you come on for a long time and talk to everyone a lot. It is too hard to explain, that's why I don't bother mentioning this sight to people. They were. People thought I was crazy. She did, but she doesn't know why I chose the names. I like Caroline better too.

That's a great way to put it. When I first made my username I didn't come on too much, but then I started coming on more. And that's when I started getting the sense of how close some people are on here. I've been on and off lately with everything going on. Aww, well I'm glad you had fun with your finger family while they lasted =) If they had a puppy named Riley, it would have been us to a T
Tom and I keep trying different middle names with Caroline. I think my favorite is Caroline Elizabeth, but he's not sure if he's sold. We'll keep trying - I'm sure we'll stumble upon a great fit soon enough. And then find out it's a boy

I didn't come on much either. I started coming on regularly around June I think. I did have fun with it. You actually had a fish named Jello. If it was a dog, she would have been Riley. But she drew a fish instead. I like Caroline Elizabeth. It seems a little long though. lol How long til you can find out if it's a girl or boy? 7 weeks?

June or July is probably about right for me. Not sure exactly. Haha, Jello is an interesting name. Nate has a Beta fish named Dory. I love Caroline Elizabeth, but like you, Tom's telling me it's too long. Espcially with his long last name
I also like Caroline Emily, but I hate the way it sounds with the last name. We'll figure it out. Well, I'm almost 13 weeks, so I can go in 5 weeks. I have an appt. in 6 weeks, but Tom and I are still somewhat undecided about whether or not we're going to find out.

There's Caroline Amelia, which is similar. It would be cool if his/her initials spelled a word. My brother's are ART so his friends call him Art. (I was called Art's sister by his friends) That's cool. I think I wanna keep it a surprise when I have kids. I don't know if I could wait 9 months though.
