New Season NEWS THREAD: New episodes start filming November 30th

Just a little news from Nick Braun (Cameron):
'10 Things' starts filming the next ten episodes on November 30th.
He also says the show is coming back in February or March. I'm not believing that yet, since he didn't seem so sure. That and the fact that Carter Covington said he was pushing for a January return. Of course, if they don't start filming until the end of November and break for Christmas/New Years, he may be right about February. 
Bummer.

On a side note, it was announced that Secret Life and Make It or Break It are officially returning on January 11th. No mention of '10 Things' yet.

The first episode is titled "Da Repercussions". (It's a 50 Cent song.) There are a few general spoilers so I started a thread for those, in case someone doesn't want to be spoiled.

2. The bad news is that we have reliable information that the new episodes won't premiere in January as was originally hoped. ABC Family is creating a three-hour block of one-hour shows on Mondays (Secret Life, Make It or Break It, Greek) that doesn't leave a lot of time or attention for little half-hour 10 Things, so it won't premiere until later in 2010. (For that matter, 10 Things doesn't go back into production until December, so it wouldn't be ready in January anyway.)
So Secret Life, Make It or Break It, and Greek are all on one night???
Yep. I'm sure they are doing it to help Greeks ratings. Greek hasn't been doing so well (10 Things was actually better!) so ABC Family is putting it after the highest rated original show on the network, hoping to get more viewers. Greek was originally supposed to return in April, when SL and MIoBI were done.
I watch 10 things, Secret Life, Make It or Break It, and Greek so I think I might have to tape at least one haha. That's crazy! Hopefully 10 things will be on a tuesday like last season.

I am, but I hope they don't rush it. I know it's a short show, but don't rush it just to get it put out.
On another note, after reading a few fan-fics I've decided more on things I don't want to see happen rather than what I want to see happen. A few of those include: no sex please (Secret Life has got that covered), no (more) "I love you’s” (I just think it's too soon unless they write it masterfully), and mostly don't make any of the characters go soft. JMO
A few of the fanfics have some pretty good friends for Patrick. It would be nice if the auto shop guys could be incorporated a bit more.
There are a lot of the fan-fics that I love and I am amazed at how well some of their ideas turn out. I do like the idea that Patrick has a group of friends outside of school and even a job. One that really through me off but worked really well was that Patrick has a little sister. I just always assumed him to be an only child.
I agree. I'm putting fanfic on hold for awhile, though. Thanks to cross country, I'm still not completely caught up with Bones. That takes precedence right now.

"New Info." I just saw this, but it was posted the 25th on Ethan Peck's Myspace.... "10 Things I Hate About You" is coming to DVD! Also is confirmed the new season begins in 2 months! Are you guys excited?

I know, but Greek is having it's midseason finale next Monday so I'm going to have to find something else to watch. Maybe they should have spaced out the shows a little bit better.
You've got Secret life and Make It Or Break It coming on January 11th. I'm guessing 10 Things I Hate about you will start around that date on Tuesdays. I wonder what they're going to have in place of Ruby and The Rockits. Does anyone know?
Correction: Now I've Read that Greek will air the same night after Make it or Break AFTER Secret Life... Crazy.
I'm actually wondering if Greek returning so quickly (which really surprised me) is in any way going to alter the 10 Things return date. It was my first though. Hopefully no!
Haven't heard anything about a Ruby replacement.
Okay i get the Actors have other stuff to do like Meaghan just got back from Canada <3 for Camp Rock 2 and But I think it stinks that we have to wait like what 5-6 months for a new season while Glee only has to wait 3 weeks! I hate waiting for sooo Long!

The situation with Glee is completely different. Glee is just taking a break for Fox to show other programming (World Series). The next episodes of Glee are already filmed and ready to air. In addition, Glee is on one of the main broadcast networks, which have tons more money (and more viewers) so they can easily order a 20+ episode season early on and continue to film. (Just as a reference, Glee draws in about 6-7 times as many viewers as 10 Things. Glee doubles the viewership of Secret Life, ABC Family’s best show.)
For 10 Things, ABC Family only ordered 10 episodes. They didn’t decide to renew until well after the actors had already set their future schedules, and all episodes had aired!
Dividing the “season” into 2 parts is the norm for ABC Family. All their shows run on a 10-12 episode schedule followed by a break. They alternate shows on and off. It's just their format.
Also, unlike Bones and Glee, we don't have to always wonder when our show will be on. With Bones it's constantly on for a week or two then off for about 3 weeks.
Another good point. With ABC Family, we usually get all the episodes in a row, no repeats or breaks in between.

I'm finally getting caught up. With any luck, by the time we get a new episode again in two weeks, I'll actually be able to watch Bones on Bonesday.
Yay for the start of filming! Like you, I'm still hoping for an earlier renewal. I'm still not caught up on Fringe, though, and haven't even started on Bones, so my tv load won't be that upset. Lol! There's just too much stuff on Thursdays now and cross country's keeping me at the school late at night and during the weekend.

Finally! All caught up! I think this season is the best one since the the first couple. I liked last season, but it didn't capture me like the previous seasons had. Although all the weird mid-season breaks may have had something to do with that. Showing episodes out of order and trying to smooth things out after the strike didn't help either.

Now hopefully you can watch them as they air, on "Bonesday" as you say!
It did take a while. I have been insanely busy, and my husband made me promise to wait until he could watch too. That of course prevented me from ever watching them on Football Sunday.
On the plus side, I got to watch the season in two long installments. I really, really wanted another episode last night!
Couldn't get our dvr to record it on the comfy couch instead of the old, crummy tv in the library. It insists on taping Survivor instead. Fringe I can at least watch live now that I'm caught up, so I figured it should come first. Besides, I have to rev myself up for the premiere thanks to that brain tumor. I liked what they did with the finale, but sitting all summer wasn't good for me. My best friend died from brain tumors, so I have personal, non-Bones-related issues with the topic. I know that once the first episode starts I'll be fine, though.
Don't worry, Bones is next up. I'll probably watch it all day Sunday while I'm recouping from Homecoming.
Sorry to hear about your best friend. That's really tough. I lost both my father and maternal grandmother to brain cancer. I can understand having to psyche yourself up for that. Hopefully you'll be completely absorbed in 'Bones' in no time!
I'm absolutely loving the new season! I'd be caught up by now, but my husband gets grumpy if I watch it without him. Should be caught up by the next new episode, though.
I'm sure I will. I'll probably watch them all in one sitting, which is why Sunday is smarter than starting tonight, which is what I want to do.
