we're doing something different

ABC Family: thegraceland DOES ANYONE ELSE WANT TO PUNCH CASEY FOR TAKING SO LONG TO ADMIT SHE LOVES CAPPIE?

DOES ANYONE ELSE WANT TO PUNCH CASEY FOR TAKING SO LONG TO ADMIT SHE LOVES CAPPIE?

I do. I will be soooooo pissed at her if he says no tonight. ALL her fault for taking so damn long to admit what everyone already knew - she is still in love w/ Cappie. I think we all would agree (even though we want them together and they belong together) that he has the right to be pissed. All this to say I love them and the chemistry they bring to this show. Awesome. Soul mates. Love them. Casey GET a CLUE!!!

hope123's picture

no i think they would be a goood couple Smiling

hope123's picture

hey wat do you think will happen to kasey and cappie

kdey23's picture

No way! I think that she had to go through the relationships with Evan and Max so she could actually realize that she loves Cappie. I think that it helped her know that they are meant to be. Sure it took her a while, but that made good television.

I'm with you cocogurl. This is ALL on Cappie. I love the character, but he's the one I wanted to punch! It was his childish behavior that ended their relationship in the first place, and then Casey broke up with a really terrific guy to give Cap another chance and he chickened out. Wasn't it just two episodes ago that he was telling her no other girl compared to her?! He's always on Casey for being so "structured" and the first time she throws caution to the wind and follows her heart, he breaks it into a million pieces! Sorry for the rant...I know this is just a thing that writers do to keep up the suspense, but the show is supposed to be about more than just the CC will they/won't they drama. To the person who mentioned Seth/Summer from the OC, those two were together alot of the show and managed to have a fresh relationship. Just because characters get together doesn't mean the show has to end. For CC, I can imagine being a couple would be as challenging (and hysterical) as them being apart. Anyway...I loved the finale, but I"m not a big fan of cliffhangers. I hope all is resolved early in season 3.

I don't blame him. He's opened up I believe 3 different times to her and all 3 times he was shut down/got his heart stomped on. Of course he isn't going to jump head in right. He's been in the same situation before, Casey goes through something and turns to Cappie but when he goes in she rejects him.

I hope it doesn't take all chapter for them to get together, although I think a large part depends on what story lines the writers can come up with if they decide to put them together because the Casey/Cappie love triangles were a big part of the plot of the show.

Totally agree. Smiling

Well, let's be real here...if they had been together this whole time, the happy little perfect couple would most of us been as intrigued as we currently are? I wouldn't have been! I've said it in other posts but the entire thing is about anticipation and growing up and realizing what you want. She had to go through the other guys to really realize that Cappie is who she clicks with the best. Yeah, it's frustrating and you just want to shake her (and him) sometimes, but it's more exciting when it's drawn out.

Jeez, haven't any of you people ever seen ANY other show? LOL Do we not remember how damn long it took Donna and David to FINALLY get together? That show went on for 10 seasons before they got hitched. OR what about Joey and Pacey? Or Peyton and Lucas? Or Chuck and Blair? Or Seth and Summer? I could go on and on here.

Most of these shows always have the underlying theme of 2 people who are "destined" to be together but they have to go through all these obstacles and other relationships to FINALLY realize it. It's what makes them all worth watching. No one wants to sit there and watch perfect happy couples 24/7..that's not how real life is anyway.

I completely agree with your post. This is why we keep watching. The angst and awkwardness is what we really like.

I actually understand her Smiling But I really like she finally is honest with her feelings and what's more- not scared to fight for true love.

chloe_101's picture

LOL.....A good shake, yes! But hey, she finally came around so...all's well.... Big smile

Yeah I do. I wanted to punch her in season 1 when shes like " I know where I wanna be in 10 years. Do you?" And Cappie said "I wanna be with you." Ughhh!! I cant believe she didnt take him back then. Cappie has been nothing but nice to her since they broke up, and the way he is with Rusty, its obvious that hes matured. So I really dont see waht was holding Casey back all this time except pointless relationships

cocogurl736's picture

Ooh, people aren't going to like me, but I kind of want to punch Cappie. It's his fault for screwing up their relationship to begin with. It would be pretty hard for any girl to trust a guy, who throughout their relationship and most the series showed that he cared more about partying and boozing with his bros then he did about Casey at the time. So I'm kind of on Casey's side with this. I'm glad she at least figured it out finally. Better late than never! Big smile

And like, Cappie can party like this now because he's young and cute and in college, but that's not going to be so hot 10-15 years down the road. You know? Lol.

dkentwal's picture

yea man its about freakin' time...but with that said it was interesting to see her different relationships i just wish it didnt take so long like max should have just gone to cal tech. and casey and cappie should have started dating then

Claire-23's picture

Well, maybe not punch, but give a good shake lol, cos at least she admitted it eventually Big smile x
I think it was a bit immature to go to Cap, before breaking up with Max, but it did let Cappie see how serious she was about what she said because she broke up with Max regardless of the fact that Cappie turned her down, and speaking of the fact that Cappie turned her down, I think he got a bit scared and he didn't want to disappoint her like the way he did last time and wanted her to be happy even if he thought it wasn't with him, which was really sweet...x
Can't wait for August 31st! x

Yeah...It took her long enough, but I don't blame her for being confused about what she wants. She's young. She has never meant to hurt any of the guys that seem to flock around her. However, I do wish she would have done the more mature thing and broken up with Max BEFORE she professed her love to Cappie. Regardless of his motivations, Cappie did the right thing in turning her down in this situation. She had a boyfriend! I am really proud of Cap. He is really growing up.

reese711's picture

Well it was a long time coming, but at least she finally realized it.

Casey: Why can't you find someone else who's perfect for you?
Cappie: Because no other girl in the world compares to you.

hollowmeadow's picture

I respect Cappie's "decision". He's been rejected by her far too many times to believe that she has finally had an epiphany. They are soulmates. If it's meant to be, eventually it will be.

I look into your eyes and fall in love all over again.

..and don't even get me started on MAX. ***? So you're telling me when Cappie is throwing himself at you, you would prefer to be with uber dork Max? Uh huh. Right.

inthesky's picture

God, I totally agree.
I couldn't stand it when they first introduced him in the show.

Casey's an idiot for taking so long.
Cappie's an idiot for rejecting her.
Sticking out tongue
