we're doing something different
The fire at Gamma Psi's
Posted Tue, 11/03/2009 - 04:06 — RockaterinaDid anyone notice that the way Casey reacted to the fire at the Gamma Psi's is very similar to Frannie's reaction to the sex scandal in season 1? I'm a bit worried by the consequences this could have on the ZBZ's... What do you think about it?

Re-watching the episode today, Casey did qualify their silence, "We'll know if we did it when we get in trouble for it, until then, we say nothing." It's a loose moral line, I agree, but I think if it becomes obvious ZBZ is at fault, then I think she'll find a way to deal with it ethically...Casey for all her faults has always been good at dealing with conflict, and owning up to her responsibilities. We may be worried for nothing. After all, it's always possible a raccoon did it!

OMG i hope nothing happens to them

I think everything will come out in the first episode of the next chapter. Its title "I know what you did last semester" so I'm guessing a ton of stuff will come out and there will be a lot of conflict for all our favorite characters.
I think Ashleigh and Casey are going to have some problems next semester, not only with dealing with things in the house but also with Casey wanting to go to Panhelenic.
I think we know Casey is someone who will sometimes do bad things with the intention of it being for the greater good.
I wonder when the promo/sneak peek for chapter 6 will be out.
Yeah, I definitely see some sort of conflict of some sort coming out about the fire.... Especially at the end, when Cappie said "well, at least my house didn't catch on fire" Casey's face kind of said it all.. I feel like she might end up being the one to say something about it. Maybe not, but she DID have an awfully guilty look on her face
You can -Always- go back to your soulmate...That's what makes them a soulmate*
You know, I didn't catch that parallel, but it's there, but I think there is a subtle difference, in that the ZBZ's were caught, and Tagan knew what happened, but Frannie refused to own up to it. Last night, Casey qualified that they didn't know what started the fire at Gamma Psi, and at this point no one knows about the ZBZ involvement, and it would be in the best interest of the house not to incriminate themselves. However, long term? I don't know if my argument will hold up!
Definitely a lot of call backs to the first chapter, and the pilot itself, in a way we've come full circle. As for the swapping pairs, I think to a degree it's inevitable, because of the limited number of main cast members, and bringing someone in as a love interest has had mixed results (JenK, yes; Max and Lana, quasi; Jordan, no). I think the Evan/Rebecca pairing makes sense, and am interested to see how it plays out; especially in light of how (as others have noted) Casey and Rebecca are growing closer, while Evan and Cappie are giving up on their friendship.
Say goodnight, Gracie
A lot of things seem to be mirroring season 1; ZBZ conflict, love triangles, anyone notice that Casey and Becks are with their respective cheating partners? Though I'd prefer to think of the Evan relationship as the cheat, not Cappie
Oh, and speaking of these couples, what does everyone think of the swapping pairs? We forget sometimes how much crap Rebecca has put Casey through, as well as her tendency to chase her sex-life, I'd like to think since Casey is with her true love that nothing will come of this potential tension.
