Rebecca and Evan?
Posted Fri, 06/19/2009 - 18:55 — kdey23I think Rebecca and Evan would be so cute together. Sure, that creates a little love square but I think that they could be a really good couple. What do you think, if not Evan and Rebecca then who should they end up with? 
Yea I agree. I like the cap v. evan, but the Rebbecca v. casey thing is over and done with.

It's like there's this tractor beam that seems to pull me towards you no matter what I do.
I know! They finally started getting along somewhat over Thanksgiving and I was like FINALLY! The ZBZ house really needs to put up a united front with this whole fire thing...By the way, not entirely sure I like that? The producers and execs could have done something way more interesting and more catty between the two houses rather than having ZBZ light it on fire by accident.
Sorry, I have to disagree. I loved that it wasn't more girly, cat-fight shenanigans, but something that was purely accidental. Also, I think it will provide good development for Rebecca, by the look on her face before she realized Evan was in her room, it's weighing pretty heavily on her. This following her guilt over kissing Fisher, is further development of her conscience.

I totally see what you're saying, and generally I would agree, but the Gamma Psis were so mean to the ZBZs that I actually wanted to see the ZBZs get back at and confront them in a way to show that ZBZ was on top rather than burning down the house. I really would like to see the "nicer" side of Rebecca if you will and really hope Evan isn't just using her. I don't want her to get hurt.
Ahh, see, I think Song Fest did this perfectly, and the fact that the GP was caught cheating at that put the cherry on top of the sundae, all without it being a cat fight (or bunny fight as the case might be). And more so, the fire was accidental and not something ZBZ did to hurt GP intentionally, and it may end up hurting ZBZ more in the long run.
I also don't want Rebecca hurt or involved with a guy who's hung up on someone else, because really, she's an awesome chick. I'm holding off on judging Evan's motivations, because I'm not convinced his pass at Casey on Tday was entirely committed, so much as circumstantial, but we'll see.

Mmhm. I see what you mean. Totally agree with you on the Evan's motives. I used to kinda like him, and maybe its just his drastic changes in life choices, but his true character may be showing through now... About the girl fight, ZBZ would get in more trouble for the accidental house fire than the Gamma Psis will for cheating, and I really just don't want ZBZs in trouble.

Yeah Evan only went to Rebecca for comfort. He just lost his bestfriend and barely has control of his house. He has like nothing. I used to think that they would be able to bond over all their family problems, and maybe they'll actually end up liking each other, but it just seems a little sketchy to me. I also don't like the idea of Casey and Cappie vs Rebecca and Evan...
NOPE. Evan is NO GOOD! Tonight, he just went over to Rebbecca for a rain check because everyone else HATES him. Yeah, I thought they would be cute, but now, Evan is back to being evil. Bex is gonna get hurt.

I would love to see them as a couple. In the last episode (The wish-pretzel) it seemed like Rebecca likes Evan more than a friend.

I just hope the whole Evan making a move on Casey on Turkey Day was a drunken circumstantial thing, because I'd hate for Becks to hook up with another guy who is hung up on Casey (not to mention, I'd like to see Evan move on from Casey, because seriously, it's over).

I completely agree. I know they are going to have to stir up a little drama from somewhere now that Casey and Cappie are finally back together - and when they dial up the drama, it usually involves Rebecca and/or Evan to some degree - but for once I would like to see Bex in a good, healthy relationship with a guy devoted to her, and her alone. Though she has had her issues and acted out in hurtful ways in the past (with many of these actions involving other girls' boyfriends and ex-boyfriends), I think she is a good person and fun, awesome character. Would be nice for something good to happen for her.
I hope that, too! I love Rebecca, I think she deserves to be with a guy that truly wants to be with her, and isn't still hung up on someone else, especially on Casey,since the two girls would make very good friends, and the only thing that keeps them apart is the strange attraction Rebecca has towards her ex-boyfriends (who aren't over her yet). Look at the last episode... with no one around the two girls get along pretty well!

I thought Rebecca/Evan would make a good couple, but I also like the idea of Rusty/Rebecca. My guess is that its either Fisher/Cappie are going to be her main targets, if spoilers are correct that shes back to her old ways.

It would be different but I can see it... I've thought it'd be an interesting pairing. But in all honesty very doubtful to every happen.

Yes, I thought about this couple,too, and I think it would be interesting to see those two, but the only action between Rusty and Rebecca happened when she was Jordan's bodyguard during Gotcha... Btw, if it happened I don't think it would last more than a couple episodes, unless Rebecca stopped being so snob.
I think that they would be cute together. If not this chapter next chapter....or I would also like to see them paired up with some new characters.

The show seemed to hint at it, at least for the last few episodes. They didn't exactly engage on the best terms the first time around, but it could be one of those "fate is stronger than choice" scenarios. They could just be meant for each other (they do have similar social/political backgrounds). In many ways it would work, but in other ways it would seem forced and just wrong.

I really like the idea of Evan and Rebecca together. I think they might be a cute couple.
I’m on the fence about Evan and Rebecca, because doesn’t the swapping couples thing become just a little bit ridiculous and incestuous after a while? They find new characters for Rusty and Calvin to cuddle up with, why not Evan or Becks? I’d love to meet and get to know some girls from another sorority on campus that weren’t so one dimensional, so maybe a relationship with Evan is an opportunity for that.

This is what tempers my above statement. Yet, the dynamic that drove Evan and Frannie apart, could also drive these two apart, because I think Rebecca is ambitious in a very similar way.
And, I’ll admit that finding a new actor to come in with the correct chemistry with an established ensemble isn’t easy, so I’d rather see our love square emerge again, than for them to bog the cast down with an actor who can’t cut it.

I am liking the idea of Rebecca and Evan as a couple. They have a lot in common - what with their family struggles and the "poor rich kid" issues. It would be cute. I also like it because it is coming full circle from their affair during rush in season one. Finally, I just want both of them to have someone and be happy so that they don't pose any obstacle to Casey and Cappie getting back together!
They would be so cute! But, I always thought that she would also balance herself out with Rusty. But, then again, he's with Jordan. So, Evan/Rebecca and Rusty/Jordan, or just Rusty/Rebecca.
