ABC Family: graciebaby why does season 3 greek have to be on at the same time as gossip girl?

why does season 3 greek have to be on at the same time as gossip girl?

especially when i hate watching stuff on abcfamily.com. viewing parties are stupid.

Don't watch gossip girl but I normally just record everything using DVR and watch it when I have time during the week. Don't they usually have an encore presentation of the episode immediately after it airs?

Is that going to be the last season of G.G after season 3?

Well I personally love Gossip Girl more than Greek. So normally I watch Gossip Girl. Lately the ratings have fell for them too, so I have to watch gossip girl live. And then I have to watch Greek online, since I have to tape Gossip Girl for my sister and mom who hate to watch things live.

For me, Greek is the far better show. So, I try to go back and forth. But, it never works. You have to watch every minute of both shows to get later drama and jokes conversing. So, I watch Greek and Gossip Girl online. My really good friend has dance during those times so she watches Greek online and her mom buys her Gossip Girl from itunes. Now, since her mom is constantly traveling for business, she doesn't know what it's about and basically gives Claire (my friend) her credit card number. Claire has the entire second season on itunes and I have the first season on dvd. It works out that we watched all of over a span of 2 days. Anyways, I am so glad that Greek will return at 9, so I can watch both on the same night without having to watch anything online. But, then again, I have Secret Life to watch at 8, so ugh...

I look into your eyes and fall in love all over again.

Well, I watch both online, I live in Scotland so we don't get Greek over here, we do get Gossip Girl but it is still on season two here so I watch it online, because I can't wait! lol.
If you are watching Greek or Gossip Girl online I would recommend going to sidereel.com they have loads of episode links and you can watch the episode basically as soon as it has finished in America, it is the best and it's what I use for any TV show Smiling x

I don't understand why they put it opposite GG, either. You'd think they'd not want to compete for viewers. Major stations (ABC/NBC) take this type of thing into consideration. I agree with those who say to watch GG online. Also, Greek usually repeats on Wednesday nights. The viewing parties for Greek are terrible--I hate when I miss an episode and need to watch online. I'd rather get Greek from YouTube.

Classic counter programming that always bugs the hell out of me, in their drive to steal viewers, the fans are the ones who get caught in the crossfire. In the case of Greek v Gossip Girl, I don't think it will work, though I think Greek is the far better show (and I enjoy Gossip Girl most of the time). Thank gawd for DVR and sorry for all of you who do not have it, for it is the best. invention. ever.

Say goodnight, Gracie

I agree with Kdey, we all know Gossip Girl doesn't need as much help as Greek does in ratings. I watch Greek online but not by choice. I have no cable or satellite but if I did, believe me I would rather watch Greek first and Gossip Girl online.

O man....that is not fun for you. Luckily, I have a DVR because I love both of those shows too. I guess you'll have to watch one online. I suggest you watch Gossip Girl online because Greek always needs good ratings. Smiling Good Luck!

first, they don't keep them as viewing parties the whole time, watch it two days after it premieres on tv and you don't have to go to the viewing parties. Second, they aren't going to schedule their shows around other shows that aren't on their network.
