That's lame!

That's lame!
looks like they are making effort to increase the ratings and save the show
I understand their move, but I think it has good and bad parts to it. It will be behind Secret Life and Make it of Break it which will hopefully pull in more viewers. Then again I think stacking the shows like that might be bad. That's 3 hours people have to put aside for tv shows back to back. Not to mention the fact that nothing good on ABCFamily is on right now. Personally, as a nursing student, I'm always studying Monday nights for Tuesday tests so the later time doesn't bother me. I can multitask
i dont like that they are moving it bc now i have to stay up later just to watch it, they should put it on after secret (well i think they should) bc i like greek way better then make it or break it

Since such a big chunk of the viewers are college kids, the new time makes perfect sense to me, since they tend to stay up late anyway. And, don't forget that 10pm eastern is only late on the East Coast. The show will play earlier in the rest of the country.
No, it will only play earlier in the central time zone, whose primetime starts an hour early at 7pm, the rest of the country will catch it at 10pm as well.

Greek is moving becasue of other shows that will be airing that same night. The Secret Life and Make It or Break It will be on right before Greek. Which is good most of the viewers watch Both the Secret Life and Make It so they will tune in for those two shows and be there already for Greek. This may attract viewers as well. So in a sense the new time is good!

i thinkk its better.. now it will probrollyy get more viewers.. now it wont have gossip girl.. and for mtv and vh1 shows they replay all week.. and i will be able to watch it on tv again cause im home from workk by then so i thinkk it was a good move..
I'll still watch it regardless...It actually is a better time for me...my free time starts then...
It may and it may not..I don't think the move is that smart. Ok so now they're not competing with GG or whatever show comes on at 8 or 9. But now they'll be competing with the Vh1 and MTV reality shows. I don't know what will be on the air during that time, but Monday nights at 10 are usually their big shows spots. But we'll see, I'll still watch it.
I haven't watched these networks since they stopped playing music videos, then again, I'm old enough to remember when they actually played music videos!

Same here...
It may be that way for you, but everyone knows television is a numbers game..ratings. Those shows at the least get 1 million+ watching the show every week. I wonder how many of those people are GREEK viewers as well. It's going to be interesting to see if the new time will increase or decrease ratings. I hope it does do well at it's new time, bc I love the show. My favorite on television right now. Other viewers might feel it conflicts with one of their favorite shows and opt to watch it on the internet, DVR, or Tivo. Watching it in all these ways does not help with ratings. I received my degree in communications so stuff like this sparks my interest. All these time changes do effect the show greatly, no matter how good it may be. Let's just hope this is a positive effect. Look at Ugly Betty, it is constantly nominated for Emmys, but when they changed it's time and day..ratings dropped! Got ugly, but only time will tell where it will leave GREEK. I hope it doesn't end up like Kyle XY.
I was just making a joke, but I take your point - time will tell, and at a third season, which feels like a sixth season, I think there's only so much you can do to boost ratings significantly, at that point. However, Greek's saving grace is that it's on ABC Family, who doesn't need large network numbers, and Greek brings critical acclaim to the network, which is otherwise lacking. I think this in general is why creatively, cable is kicking the network's [filtered word] in awards seasons, because they can take a gamble on unusual shows with high creative value without needing it to capture the culture's attention at large (aka Pushing Daises, The Sarah Conner Chronicles, Firefly). And if they want to break into three hours of original programming, Greek is adult enough to make it the logical 10pm choice, while alleviating concerns that it's not family programming. It still strikes me as a smart decision to make.
FYI, Nielsen is beginning to use DVR/TiVo viewings in it's ratings calculations, but online streaming is not yet being considered, and often shows that skew to younger audiences pick up significant traction when evaluated. I think this is one reason why CBS might be winning the network ratings war, because their viewers do skew older, and are less likely to use delayed viewing options.

Don't you have to be a Nielsen household to count in the ratings? It shouldn't make a difference how the average Joe watches the show. ??
All very true...I would definitely like to see at least one more season--if not more--from this show....I love it and am completely infatuated with it....
Also, it's a positive move forward for the network, which is producing three primetime hours of original programming for the first time. Greek is the most logical show for the late hour, and I agree with others here, I think it will benefit the ratings because it will follow two popular shows and take it out of competition with GG.

When I first read the news over at Ausiello, my reaction was WTF?? But as I thought about it, I realized that this could be what causes their ratings to go up. Let's face it, their ratings suck right now against GG (which is completely ridiculous, don't even get me started). Hopefully, this new time after two hit abcfamily shows will bump up its ratings because what's good on at 10 on a monday? This show is meant for older viewers anyway and staying up until 10/11 really shouldn't be a problem.
I look into your eyes and fall in love all over again.

It's on at 9/10 now because it is after two other shows that are still in season when it comes back on. They can't bump the times of the other shows so Greek can play at 7 or 8. I don't really see a problem with it, I'm still up at 9.

I don't think its lame at all. It will be so so so much better for the show and the channel. Hopefully a later time will get more viewers because there will be no competition. I want Greek to stay on another season and more viewers will give it a higher chance of continuing a little bit longer.
its moving an hour, probably better for it. doesn't have to compete with gossip girl or any other shows, so maybe ratings will be higher.
