I like how both Scott and Spencer are rooting for Cappie and Casey.

The Cappie and Casey sofa scene is hilarious! I like how CC get to have a nice mixture of comical and angsty scenes in the new episode.

Last nights episode was amazing! I adore Casey/Cappie and the scene on the sofa in the library was so funny! I also loved Ashleigh in the episode! She was so funny too Big smile I agree with you reese711, Casey throwing the bag of potato chips was so funny, it was so simple but really got me laughing. Sticking out tongue
The last Casey/Cappie scene was really sad though, especially Cappie's expression when he said, "I Get It," Oh I was on the verge of tears because I adore Cap so much!
I also wanted to say that I agree with Winchester21 because I think that Max/Casey fans seem to believe that Casey/Cappie fans hate Max, well newsflash, I think Max/Casey fans seem to hate Cappie, so please, stop acting like Casey/Cappie fans are the enemy...it is annoying. I have no problem with Max...and after all it is just a TV show...x Wink

Not since Jen K have I been happy for Rusty. The writers did something good when they laid the Jen K thing to rest since we all really liked her for Rusty. Jordan is no Jen K, but I think this is a true to life match. I see this one being a good one. I still wanted Andy to be Rusty's little brother. Sigh*, we will have to wait for Rusty to have a new little brother. Probably not until his freshman year. Is Rusty ruled out as a possibility for future KT president or does that belong to Ben Bennett. Ben is a good leader, I wouldn't mind that. It would be a good election.

It was a sad yet happy episode! The boob graze, the hair touching, the fact that Cappie finally told her how he felt, she can't even trust herself to be alone with him, her being jealous: wonderful! We all know that Cappie and Casey are going to get together, so I'm not dwelling about her leaving. They'll find there way back to each other. <3

I still think that something will happen with Max while he's gone. Casey has proven her loyalty... I think Max and that supersmarty doctor will do something... Maybe that's me just being mean? Thoughts?

rexxi714's picture

i was glad she left. she is in a relationship with max. do any of you seriously condone cheating? come on! and stop with the childish notion of a soulmate already! if there was such a thing as a soulmate, then why can you find someone else if your first one passed away? casey should be with max. he really loves her, and he has PROVEN so. Cappie proved he didn't love her when they dated YEARS AGO. casey is a smart girl and will do what is right for her. cappie will never grow up. she knows this.

cutapacka's picture

Cappie, at this point, will do anything for Casey if she gives him a chance. Someone earlier stated that Cappie always loved Casey, but it was one of those "You don't miss it til it's gone" type deals, and Cappie has been sulking and pining for that girl since she left him. He'll do anything to get her back, anything. It's been almost three years for God's sake and yet every time she walks through the door he hopes she's changed her mind. If anyone can make Cappie grow up, Casey can, however, deep down, I don't think that's what she truly wants, I think that's what she thinks she wants but misses the free spirited lifestyle she had with Cappie.

Winchester21's picture

I don't think anyone here is condoning cheating and the idea of a soulmate isn't a childish notion...lol. Sounds like you might not have much experience in the area, b/c you can have more than one soul mate and it doesn't always have to be someone the opposite sex! I consider my best friend one of my soul mates just as I consider my ex boyfriend one of my soul mates. They are people who come into your life and impact you in great ways and you will always feel connected to them.

Cappie never proved he didn't love her...LOL. All he did was "prove" that he was immature at the time and liked to party and his priorities weren't straight, but he never DIDN'T love her, that much is obvious. I think people seem to forget that the characters are supposed to be 19-21 years old and no offense but most people I know that are that age are extremely immature. When I was 21 I was an idiot and didn't see what I had either, but then you grow up, eventually most people do and Cappie's character has a lot of depth. He's immature on the outside but he has pretty strong feelings on the inside.

And also just a sidenote- NO ONE HATES MAX! I don't get why Max/Casey fans are acting like Cappie/Casey fans hate Max. Max is great, he's nice, he's what she needed after that Evan stuff, but that doesn't mean he has to be the end all be all for her. The show was set up to have Casey and Cappie find each other in the end, that is obvious.

PledgeLeonorOmegaChi's picture

See your logic is flawed. The notion of a soulmate states that there is only one out there. and it sounds like you don't have much experience in that area because fate has a funny way of introducing these "soul mates". You might find yourself married and find the girl that just makes you feel alive and rejuvenates your reason for living again, but you can't pursue because you are married (real life experience by a family member of mine). It isn't proper for your current boyfriend to know you have another soulmate lurking around.

Soulmates practically don't exist. Relationships are based on a series of meetings that manages to connect certain values, principals, interests, in a way that forges a bond. As a psych major, I developed an experiment that had people put down their interests. I then, set up these people based on likes and dislikes. I even put a group of people that have 22 out of the 25 likes but had them talk about the 3 things they didnt share in common. Despite an 88% compatibility, they ended up having disdain for one another. It's all about finding the right connections.

Cappie has potential no doubt. But seems to be selfish. He only tries for Casey when he is about to lose her. He tried when she was being lavaliered by Evan and tried when she was with max. Only when he feels he is losing her. He obviously feels secure only if Casey is still available to him. In his personality type, that availability is lost only when the person is married. He has no respect for the boundaries of relationships. He had his chances when she broke up with Evan, but was with Rebecca. He is a man of convenience.

Finding each other in the end? Maybe. Smallville writers should talk to Greek writers and learn not to pad relationships so deep. It was hard for people to get on the Clark/Lois train because they are so emotionally involved in Clark and Lana. they may be doing the same fail with max or cappie.

Winchester21's picture

Not sure why I am even responding to you, being this is JUST a TV show and I think you need to get over whatever "hatred" you seem to have toward Cappie. My logic is far from flawed and I have had MUCH experience in regards to relationships, and timing and "soul mates" in my 25 years of life, but thanks! Wink Who says you can only have one soul mate? YOU? I have heard differently and believe differently. As I said before I believe my best friend is one of my soul mates and we're just friends, not romantically involved. Soul mates goes beyond LOGIC and everything else. There are just certain people you meet and are connected to.

Of course Cappie is selfish, most young guys/people are! That's what growing up is all about, learning to not be selfish and take things/people for granted. In any case you need to get over your negativity about Cappie, because like most shows it is obvious where this one is headed. Its been obvious since it first aired, so if it bothers you that much than the option is not to watch.

PledgeLeonorOmegaChi's picture

Well, you are responding because you obviously do not understand concepts of the world. The way you just defended Cappie is a defense mechanism all women use. It may not be as extreme as the women who make excuses for the men that beat them, but it is the same logic used to defend his actions.

I took up psychology to understand why people do the things they do. I recall a moment at my old high school of Gov. John Rogers HS when a student was arrested for attempting to shoot up the school. At school, his friends, all of which were women, defended any criticism of him by saying he is a nice person, just troubled, needs growing up, and he would have changed his mind when he got to school and ditch the plan to murder people. The kid had a map of the school and planned his attacks and had 24 rounds of ammunition. As a psychology major, it is reasonable to understand how illogical people can be in defending people when driven by certain emotions and other stimuli.

Your reasoning for Cappie's actions are along the same reasonings for defending a wife beater and serial murderer, while of course the actions are not of the same magnitude, but the same flawed rationale that their character witnesses provide.

In addition, be it a show, I just wanted to point out things in most girls reasoning. It's always a wonder why a woman would go back to her cheating boyfriend, i.e. my sister. Then I hear answers like this, and it's no wonder. Sort throughout the gender values that media has filled you with, and think soundly. Drama would not occur on such a frequent amount and everything would be better. Drama is better left on television.

Also, it's undeniable that it's Cappie and Casey in the end. But it's a bit unfair to every new guy in her world to be compared to Cappie all the time. No negativity towards Cappie. But all I hear about Max is that he is boring and not right for Casey, just on the pretense that he is boring. He has barely been in the show. Gotta give people a chance.

cocogurl736's picture

Of course I don't condone cheating. Cheating was part of the reason I hated Evan all of the first season. If Casey and Max break up, it can't be because of that. Max doesn't deserve it and Casey is better than that. And on the soulmate, it's not a childish notion. But there is such a thing as having more than one soulmate. People grow and change and meet people who each give them something special to hold on to. Max could be her soulmate as well, who knows.

He's a great guy and he really does love her. But I'm still concerned about him giving up Cal Tech. That was such an amazing opportunity, and they'd only been going out a few months. That could make a person feel a sense of obligation that they didn't ask for and what if things started to get sour between them and he ends up resenting her for what he gave up. And no one's even thought of this, what if he meets someone while he's away. I know Max loves Casey and I know he'd never cheat on her. He's a sweetie. I'm just saying it's too early for them to tell because they haven't been going out that long.

And just because Cappie was a huge party guy doesn't mean he didn't love Casey when they dated. He's just unfortunately one of those guys who didn't fully appreciate what he has until he loses it. He loves her but doesn't really have his priorities straight yet. But I think he has grown some since the first episode.

Basically I'm saying that I love Max. He came into Casey's life and was like a breath of fresh air for her. And I think she really needed that after that huge triangle with Evan and Cappie. But I do believe that Casey should still be with Max in the end. I am glad she didn't do anything with Cappie in tonight's episode though. If they do end up together, it shouldn't be like that.

Yeah...just played it back on my DVR. It was a great Cappie and Casey ep.

What's to become of this? We all know something will ultimately happen in the season finale. I have a feeling that we're seeing the bad right now...then the good in the season finale with an inevitable cliffhanger. If anyone reads the spoilers (which I will not divulge here...but they do not reveal much but basic plot hints)...it sounds like Cappie and Casey are destined for another encounter.

BTW...Casey throwing the bag of chips at Rusty was hilarious.

Casey: Why can't you find someone else who's perfect for you?
Cappie: Because no other girl in the world compares to you.

I was totally mad that Casey just left after Cappie said he wasn't over her. But, I loved their interactions. We haven't seen barely any this season. At least we know now, for certain, that he isn't over her. Give her a few months, she'll turn around. Their push-me-pull-you relationship comes to a head in the season finale. By the way, I loved their playful banter and her caressing his hair; so cute!!

I look into your eyes and fall in love all over again.

I almost cried (no, not really...) when Casey just up and left. What even was she thinking? And why did Cappie let her go? However, THANK YOU for putting Jordan and Rusty together FINALLY! Too stinkin' cute.

And I am happy for Calvin, finally going to get what looks like a steady relationship but idk if I will like this guy as much as the guy from KT, but he does seem good so can't complain for Calvin
