♥ Questions about Season 3, Epi 2. Most likely SPOILER if you don't know the title or paragraph about it.
Posted Fri, 11/21/2008 - 12:14 — Cniththe title is Psychic Friend and the plot according to IMBD is: Kyle fears for Amanda's life after some psychic gives him a strong warning.
Question then is...Kyle believes in Psychics?? That's interesting... I guess he hasn't been around enough to know they're most likely fake, right? But with his research skills and brain, wouldn't he know the statistics and info? Why would he believe the Psychic???
hmm....
Maybe Kyle knows he/she is not really a psychic "friend" but a Latnok operative--maybe it's even Mark as the description says it's a friend. Anyway, I can't wait to watch it.

lol yeah. With sci you never know. Everything can happen from introdusing a psychic to do the old maybe there is more to life to what we see to Kyle's subeconscious worry about the safety of Amanda manifesting in a life like hallucination
You mean with the guy that calculated the probability of something happening to predict future events? I always that was a little... vague, but you do have to let that stuff go in a scifi show.

When it comes to your loved ones being in danger you are ready to believe anything. I do wonder if this psychic will turn out to be real. Kyle Xy doesn't seeme xaclty like the type of show for this but they pulled it off in a way In Dark Angel so i guess everythign is possible

I think it'll go like this, (and I'm just guessing) but Kyle runs in to the fortune teller at some public place (fair, mall, something). Kyle wanders in in curiosity. Here's a dialogue of what i think might happen.
Kyle wanders in the shop/tent/whatever: Hello.
Fortune Teller: Hello my dear, what can I do for you?
Kyle:What is this place?
FT: You do not know? I am a fortune teller. I can tell your future.
K: Really?
FT: Would you like me to read your palm? I can reveal things that you might not even know about yourself.
Kyle of course has many secrets, and is nervous about her revealing them. However, he is curious about the things he does not know, and reluctantly agrees: I suppose so.
FT holds his palm and looks at it: Hm... There is so much mystery in your life. You have so many great secrets.
Kyle: Uh...
FT: Do not worry, I won't reveal them. I'm very good at keeping secrets. *continues to read palm* You are very powerful, but you have a kind heart. You put others before yourself. You also have very strong family ties. And I see a woman, a girl, that you care for very much. Another kind soul like yourself.
Kyle smiles: That's true.
FT frowns: You must be careful. Keep a close watch on her.
Kyle: Why? What's wrong?
FT: She is in danger I am afraid.
Kyle: In danger? Danger from what?
FT: I do not know, but it is great.
Anyway, that is assuming Kyle and Amanda are still together. That's how I think it'll happen, she tells him something about himself, and he belives her because she was right about that, so why wouldn't she be right about the danger?

I say the conversation is more ala Lindsay Lohan movie... what was that one? the one where the guy steals her luck with a kiss? Anyway like that...
They're passing by a fortune teller and s/he grabs Kyle and says, a loved one is in danger. He goes huh? and then is told something that no one else would know... to which Josh laugh at him, more or less, because he believes a psychic. Until whatever it was comes true, then both are like "huh??!" So that makes Kyle believe about the danger part...
Still though, it seems hard to swallow...but like you say, you have to let those things go in a sci fi show.

Actually your script wasn't bad, I just didn't see it like that in my head when I first read the title. However, if your script or something like it comes to play, I think we'll both be shocked!
