Any V fans out here?
Posted Sat, 11/07/2009 - 19:05 — THEbest794I saw the first episode today, and I was ENTHRALLED. This show is near perfection, it is amazing. Best new show of the season, and possibly my favorite show on TV right now. I can't wait for the social commentary feature to go up on abc.com so that I can make my own commentary to the pilot. Anyone else here watch it? And how do you guys think it compares to FlashForward, ABC's other new sci-fi show, that most likely is what ABC is trying to replace Lost with?
THEBest: I watched V tonight. I had it DVR'd and finally got a chance. It was very good. I am still afraid to trust ABC though.

I know what you mean, but I'm hoping they treat it as well as they do lost, because both are great sci fi show on the network, and I am just dying for more V.

I can see it going a full season, maybe two. But it shouldn't take more than that to vanquish the Visitors. Otherwise I see a slow plodding death.
I think that its first season will only have 13 episodes, because what the plan is is to air 4 episodes this november, then air the other nine after the Olympics in March. So I highly doubt it will get a 2-+ episode pickup this season. So maybe they will just do 2 13 episode arcs?

That sounds like a good plan to me.
The original two miniseries were great. The following series was good, but kind of lost steam as it progressed.
It's best if they end well.
I like it as well. And so far I think it's actually better then FlashForward. Mostly because I am loving the cast of V . Elizabeth Mitchel,Morena Baccarin? Can you get more awesome. And the plot seems to be intriguing and move at a good pace. I can't wait to see how they will turn this into a multi season story line

I am likng this better than FlashForward too. FF has too big of an ensemble cast, and only a few people are truly memorable. V has an excellent cast as you said, and everything about it is ridiculously intriguing. However, I don't see how it will last for multiple seasons, but I'm putting my trust in the creative geniuses behind the show.

They may intend it to be a one season show.
Watch out THEbest. It is ABC and they could just throw it down the commode just when it gets really good.
