to be truthful, it is better to have lost both parents than to have them alive and totally worthless and painful. I have no parents though both DNA donors are alive and well. They inflicted such pain that it's taken a very long time to start working out the issues they caused me...trauma if you will.

I suspect you loved your parents so I'm guessing it's a painful situation for you. I could only dream about what that's like... Imagine my envy at people who cry at funerals or get completely distraught when a parent dies. People in complete despair for weeks! I'll never know what that's like. True I rather not be in pain, but that also means I was never loved. To a child, that is worse than the death itself...the one you had when you realised the truth. In a sense, I envy you too. You must have loved them and they in return... they must have or you'd be like me, completely disassociated and disconnected. Not caring if tomorrow they aren't here anymore...not much to be grateful for because your life was complete misery, albeit you had food and water and a bit of shelter...

Anyway back to the topic at hand, I can't say that Nicole and Stephen are complete dolts...at least they have compassion but they really need to take better care of their kids. They need to pay attention and watch them more...they're so disconnected in a way. I guess that's why it's hard to admire...it reflects a bit of what I know and what I know is not good.
