I completely 100% agree with you. But the problem is that ever since this new forum was up, the people have changed. That is what I'm trying to say, and there are a lot of people that agree with me. I understand there are these rules now, but I'm sure they had these same rules on the old forum, they just never posted them. So when you say that, you are right, I would be fine with this format if the people acted the same, but they don't.
I hear a lot of griping but I don't hear any solutions coming from you.
Grams posted on the old forum things we could compromise on... a set of mini rules if you will...but I don't remember you saying anything. She even posted OK, last say everyone!! something like that and again I don't remember you chiming in. Now you're griping about the rules. What do you want us to say?
Y'all didn't contribute to anything and you expect us to just bow down to your whining? how fair is that??
Now for me, I'll say to you what I said to KA. Nothing, except the ABC rules, is set in stone. We didn't change we made suggestions to put things in order.
Those of us who contributed have kept to the 'mini rules' because we agreed to them or tolerate them. But seriously if you just come here to gripe, then it does no one any good.
Either contribute or stay quiet.

I think that we should just do the same exact thing that we did in the old forum. I think the OT system worked great. I think that the posts should say either OT if they are OT or nothing but the title iff they are on-topic. I don't think there should be a seperate thread for each specific topic. And I don't think that there should be symbols. Just the plain old simple OT system. There you go, my suggestion.
And I have no memory of the thing with grams on the old forum. I must not have been on while this was going on.

The symbols are cute but not in stone...they're also optional.
So are the threads we suggested.
We haven't changed...we wanted more order than a million "hey, any one on?" or "wanna talk?" or "hey, so and so!" like we had in the old forum.
But essentially, as far as I can see, it's still OT vs plain.
Personally, I like having my own personal Chat with me thread. but it's not like I'll kill you if you do it off my thread...

If anything I think the people are just trying to adapt to a new system.
Once this becomes old hat people will chill out and get back to being a family again.
At least, that is my hope.
And I do not remember once saying we made rules just gave logical suggestions for those of us who want to find real threads, since the search function is lousy.
I and serious Kyle thread makers will do as we want, and you Bop and others, you just do as you want. But again, I warn you, if the OT's go over the top they may cancel the priviledge completely. It is their forum, not ours.
