In the original Star Trek TV series, the Security team all wore red shirts.
There's a Trek Fan who analyzed the stats and they've been reported in ST circles for years. The short story is that security personnel accounted for 75% of all crew deaths during the three-year run.
Many fans watch those shows with nostalgia, knowing in advance that the clueless guy in the red shirt who isn't usually by the bridge doors is going to "buy the farm" soon.
I repeat: If they give you a red shirt to wear, run away! lol

ah! lol!! I didn't watch much of the original ST. I was a next generation gal...but even that I didn't watch enough to be a total trekkie...still a geek though.

Probably an alien...what the scene is, I'm watching a Picard/Kirk fight of some sort. So I could either be human or alien.

ooooooooh! Cnith! I have to tell you that I actually did the same thing in high school--One of my friends wrote a Star Trek script, and he filmed it using his High School friends (us) as actors...complete with uniforms and all! I was given the part of captain--(lol!), and my best friend was an alien--Hahaha!! What a riot--we laughed so hard, our director/writer/camera man friend had to do a lot of extra takes...
He didn't tell us at the time, but he used his film as his final project in his Communications class--and he had a "showing" in front of the WHOLE SCHOOL--yikes!!
Flash forward to my 10th high school reuinion, and suffice it to say,I was reminded about it during the evening many times--much to my own embarrassment, and my husband's amusement!
...anyway--have fun--and don't do anything I wouldn't do--LOL!!!
Cute, are you going to be serving as an Enterprise person, or as an alien?
