So, how was your first Arizona Tea Party?
My fishing trip was great! I have a freezer full of red salmon. We caught 62 reds.I kept 27 and John got the other 35. He did pay for the gas after all. I'm sure it'll take all year to eat that much fish. I hope we don't get tired of it. We're going to be trying out a lot of new recipes so we don't.
No tea party. We are so new here and my friend MattD was in California until 4:30 am. I did not have the heart to pester him to go. And since I am new, I did not want to attend alone. But,.... next time.
Now off to church at the new church.

I am now in the new apartment, and we are searching for a house. I just got internet again last night, but have not set up cable yet. I tell you this, missing internet is worse than missing cable, although I dearly miss the news.
It has been warm here, like the rest of the country right now, but we were walking out of a store and the sky was full of wonderful clouds. A boom of thunder roared. It was so cool!!! I miss that. It almost NEVER thundered in San Diego. And, the people here are so nice. I already made a friend to be, who is a 3D artist and a Chrisitian. This place is so real, not SoCal shallow!!

Sometimes I get bogged down with life in Anchorage. But then I take a good look at the mountains and the wonder returns. I pray God continues to bless you, and keep you full of His wonder and majesty.
Dawn,I hope that you have a safe drive to Arizona!
Finally, computer access. I turned of my access on Thusday and now in a hotel. I plan to leave about 8:00 tomorrow and should be crossing the state line at around 11:00. Say a prayer for a safe uneventful trip.

The movers ARE here. They are great. I am sitting in my home office and the movers are in the diningroom right now wrapping up the furniture. These are good movers. They are really taking good care of everything. I am impressed.
One of the houses I am going to look at sounds great. MattD went and looked at it for me and he said out back is just the view of the mountains and a pasture with horses. He said it is beautiful. I guess this is one at the very edge of the developement, and then just land!!

I'm thrilled you have a departure date. Still a little bummed you chose Arizona over Alaska, but I'll get over it.
California will probably get some sort of assistance from O and company. After all, it is the entitlement capital of the USA. The feds don't want their socialism poster-child to fail. You are blessed with the wisdom to see the need and the determination to make the move.
Those brick-like books are just helping you build up your strength. You'll need it for all the exploring you'll be doing in your new home. New home. Has a nice ring to it doesn't it
Oh, I had nothing against Alaska. It sounds good to me, but convincing others is another story. I think if the USA (USSA) collapses, Alaska will be one that stands free.

I know you made the decision based on what's best for you and yours. Just busting your chops.
I'm just happy things are working out for you. I believe you're even casting off the yoke of the Ninth Circuit Court. If only Alaska could do that. We've been trying for years.
Keep packing and make sure to leave the bad times behind. Carry your hopes and dreams through Gods open doors. Love, peace and abundant life always.
I did not think of freedom from the Ninth Circuit Court!! Good reminder. I heard a few states want to just leave. Maybe all 50 will leave and reform again. Ha ha. Cast off the control of O and Pelosi etc, and restart with good politicians who would care, and actually listen to the majority of us and not just Hollywood, California and New York. Let us vote in regular people, farmers, log men, teachers, people from the heartland.
We shall see what happens though. I just hope we survive for these two years till the next vote.

Secession is a tempting idea, but we must take the good with the bad. I'm not one to advocate revolution without exhausting all other options for reconciliation.

I hope the next vote fixes things. I also hope people are starting to open their eyes. You know, sometimes I feel like I am standing in a road waving people down telling them the bridge is out, and they just laugh and drive on.... off the edge.
And revolution is not a good option, but they need to remember, this country was founded by people with a strong spirit of desire for freedom. As they take it away, people will not sit quietly. I have always told people that I would hate to have to wage war with Americans. We "will not go quietly into that good night..." even when it happens from within. I like the idea of voting these sorry excuses out of office!

Yes, there are 3 or 4 houses I am thinking about. I will give you an email when I get one. I will be in an apartment for a month or two until I get into a house. That will be strange and cramped, but worth the wait, and cheaper than staying in a hotel. I found a place that will rent month to month, and it is not a flea bag either.
I cannot wait. But, this packing junk is a pain. BOOKS! I love books, but now, they are like bricks!!
I heard people with businesses and who pay taxes are fleeing NY and NJ too.
