Unfortunately, we have the creatures we have. Sigh. Her town has NO debt and a surplus! See, low taxes make people work hard. Everyone wants to keep what they earn, then they expand their businesses, hire others and it makes all go well. Why does the left always punish productivity?

Dawn, I hope you don't mind if I make a comment. This is hopeful news, indeed! I feel like the times we're going through are forcing people to open their eyes and to truly examine where they stand on numerous issues. It's critical that we be aware and informed of legislation that directly affects our lives and those of our children and grandchildren. The time for apathy is over. We all need to take a stand and be involved in our own futures. Thanks so much for posting this!

I just get annoyed that there are a few gnats who come in these threads to just harrass, and will not let some of us have our opinions without adding rude comments. I do not care if they believe what they do, but we are also allowed to have our views.I figure if they have their opinion go make their own thread. They come continually into these ones, so do not be surprised. I do not get it unless these threads are like light to an insect; they cannot stay away from these discussions that Podkdo and I have often had, and now Cobalt, and now you. Welcome to the Conservative club.

I think many are seeing the BS that is going on with a liberal congress and the debts etc., they are putting of all us into.
And, although I am more conservative, I am also an envirnomentalist which tends to be more ont he left. Smile. Ah well. I just hope we survive. I DO NOT want to be Europe. The funny thing is that Europe is starting to lean right.

Yes, that is what I say too, left, not liberal. I would have to look at all the issues to see whether I fall left or right but i truly do not think I go "liberal" at all. I could be wrong. That would be a great discussion. One where I could gain more insight and/or more firm ground. I can't argue a point if I don't know enough about it. I still believe in this country because I believe in the people. I am saddened that Cnith has had such experiences that tells her she can't stay here but it is the freedom this country has which allows her to make a different choice. I wish her calmer waters.
I know. I feel for her too. I have been forum buddies with Cnith for years. I wish the government would stop the nonsense they are doing. This is a mess.

Yes, finally some good news. I just wonder where those people were last November. I wonder though if people truly understand what it means to be conservative, moderate or liberal. There is a "view" on every issue and it can vary from person to person, view to view, I get that. But to claim the overall title of any of them, I am just not sure everyone completely understands that.
