Posted Tue, 11/03/2009 - 14:33 — lincolnheightsdivaSorry guys, but i seriously think they are trying to end the entire show with a bang. When i say end, i mean period. The end of LH. When i saw the wedding preview, i could only think one thing. THAT IS A SHOW ENDING SCENE. THE FINAL FINALE. I think they are trying to finally give us what we have all dreamed about ever since charles and cassie became chassie. Seriously, i don't think there will be a season 5. Don't get me wrong, i love LH and i wish we could have many more seasons but this is just a feelin i have. What do u guys think.

I only have one thing to say: If you even give the notion of the show ending power and believe in the possibility, then that is what you are going to get. So, being the fans that we say we are, we have the power to keep the show on and the ratings have been and are showing that. Dont be so quick to admit defeat when the show is showing no clear signs of canceling. Plus, its the commercials are screaming "Season Finale" not "Series Finale". If you love LH, as many of say we do, then have more faith in it and the power you have. Because, contrary to popular belief, WE are whats kept LH on THIS long. Not ABC.

I understand what u are saying but each and every show has a season finale every year but that doesn't stop some of them from being canceled. For example, (Kyle XY and Southland). A season finale doesn't guarantee anything. Shows are unexpectedly snatched off of networks every season. I love and have belief in the show just as much as any other person, but unfortunately i feel like my faith in the show alone isn't the driving force behind abc promoting/ordering another season, or more epis for that matter. And yes, when compared to other shows, the proof should be in the ratings but when it comes to LH someone is overlooking this fact. It's obvious from the short seasons and long hiatus that ABC does not have as much faith/support for this show as many of us do. It seems like LH is an after thought for the ABC Network. LH is a black family drama and it has gotten a bum deal 4 years in a row. How ridiculous is that. I'm sorry. Just a nail bitting suspicion i have after every season. They make it very hard not to be suspect. Guess time will tell.

Yeah, thats what I was saying. LOL! But, as for me, I refuse to give that doubt any room for ammunition. Now, thats just me. lol. But, if you all REALLY want to do something, why not get petition started? You can go to Facebook and start an LH group and get everything started there. I know there is an official LH group on FB, but this one can be a fan one. Or you can go to the official FB page and raise hell there and email it to ABC. In all seriousness, with enough people voicing how much they love the show, it would give ABC a wake up call. And you're right, shows get snatched off quickly, but this is how it works: When a show starts off with firing power and maintains it, they wont be so quick to take it off. At the end of each season, if the firing power is still very decent to great, the show will be back. Thats the only way they will continue making money. But, a show can be cancelled if the firing power was strong in the beginning, but lack luster at the end. They will try it again one more season and if by the end of the second season, nothing is still great as when it started, the show gets axed. I dont think thats the case with LH, and if I am wrong, I wont blame it on ratings. I will blame it on the fact that instead of making phone calls, many complained and didnt act. Because cancellation of the show CAN BE prevented. I refuse to have a defeatist attitude. Family Guy is a GREAT example. When it first aired in 1999, it cancelled that same year. But, as the years went on and people started raising a big stink about how they need to bring it back, petitions soaring, videos on youtube, what happend? Family Guy came back and is giving The Simpsons a run for its money. You cant tell me that LH has no hope, even though its live action and not a cartoon. The principle is still there.
And I agree with you, because it is a black show, it is getting the unfair treatment. Its not fair and its not right and ABC has to be called out for it. But, talking about it on the boards isnt going to have much a fighting power. You have to go above and beyond that. Contact ABC's executives. Their company phone number is not hard to get your hands on. Just be professional about it.

I'd already read it prior to emailing them so i found it to be about as useful as spilt milk. And i will say, the witty/sarcastic messages and info they give are odd and peculiar. You'd have to read it to know what i'm talking about. Erica Hubbard also informed one of our posters, (Ciana, Riccky01), that ABC execs do read the Official Lh Fan Info forum thread here on the board. This link goes directly to the ABC Family network as their help/info line. That's why i started the TAKE A STAND FOR LH THREAD weeks ago. A lot of ppl have taken the time and written/sent them some very serious request and concerns. All of our posts went directly into this link. That wasn't just an empty complaint thread i started. I could be wrong, but I don't think anyone of us has received a response from the ABC Family forum.
But in all seriousness, Yes, i've actually sent 2 emails to the official ABC Network, not the abc forum here on the board and received a return email advising me to see the frequent questions asked section of their website.
As for FB and twitter petitions. That's a Good idea. Ciana, Candygwen and I have been posting numerous tweets and informing ppl on other internet social sites and gaming sites to help promote the show. I'm sure lot's of others on the board have done so as well but just callin out a few random names. Mishon Face started a thread asking everyone to tell everyone we know, friends, family, etc., to watch the show, give the show a chance. A lot of ppl have responded to that as well. So, we're working on it. I guess we'll have to wait and see what happens to our beloved show.
BTW, u mentioned be professional about it. i can do that. I can be extremely professional when needed but i have to ask u this. R U CALLIN ME A DUMMY????? LMAO

I don't know how they could get away with canceling a show that gets no promotion and is still doing better than GREEK. I was watching E! news and they had a spot about GREEK and they interviewed a couple of people from the cast. LH would be doing even better than it is now if it got that level of promotion.

Can't get my point across in a short email. I've got a lot of concerns and issues i'd like to have addressed, even if the answer is one i don't want to hear. At least i'd have an answer.

this is nerve racking---that's all i know. please don't let it end.... there's so much more potential for this show. it's just getting started!!!
Putting a show on another in syndication isn't a bad thing because it is a way to introduce new viewers to the show and it's another way for ABC Family to make money and so I don't think that this would mean the end of "Lincoln Heights" because it seems odd to put a show on another network to try to get more viewers and therefore money if ABC Family was going to turn around and cancel the show. I think regardless of whether or not Charles and Cassie marry that it would be interesting to see them engaged or in their first year of marriage without a child though. I think that if there was really a concern about the ratings that ABC Family would've switched the timeslot and or let "Greek" air first, but, neither of these things ever happened and when I saw the "Lincoln Heights" did beat "Greek" in total viewers that I took it to be a good sign.
i agree...i think they are puttin the show on TV1 so that all the previous seasons cud play and so that it will gain more fans for season5....I THINK ABCFAMILY IS FINALLY USING THEIR HEAD FOR ONCE!

i agree when they cut Kyle XY the show had already started...and it said series finale...this is a season so i feel it will be back...the writers are given us what we want to go into a new season
That's a good point... The last episode of Kyle XY they said was the "series finale" (even though it shouldn't have been) and they are calling this a "season four finale." So I think they are giving us at least one more season. (Hopefully A LOT more seasons, though!)

Guys it says season finale not series finale. Plus the ratings are good. Just because we saw previews of the wedding doesn't mean its the end. We just don't really going to happen. We just have to wait and see.
I'm trying to stay positive about the show but it's very hard when u look at the way this show has been treated in the past. Just feel like abc is saying farewell but i hope your right.
