How is Chassie a love of a lifetime?
Posted Thu, 10/16/2008 - 13:20 — LincolnHeightsFan2If Charles is showing cheating tendencies, I don't see how this is supposed to be a love of a lifetime like the commercial keeps saying. Charles is exhibiting Classic A behavior of a child raised in a morally bankrupt household. His mother is a deadbeat, so he doesn't know any better. In first season, he acted like a prince when he wanted Cassie to fall for him. In season two, he pushed her away because of his molesting stepdad. And this season, now when he has Cassie back and she's giving all her heart, he's acting shady and letting an old woman molest him. Just because he supposedly proposes doesn't mean it's a love of a lifetime.
A love of a lifetime is when two people fight to be together, not when one exhibits douchelike behavior and lets a grown woman twist his head. A love of a lifetime is when the couple fights against a common enemy, not when one stands there and let himself be molested even though he was supposedly abused by his stepdad. I feel like I'm watching the same story over again, except instead of Cassie and the older Luc, it's Charles and the older Sabrina. I think Charles should keep his cheap ring!
I do feel we need to wait and see what happens. They do piece clips together to make it look like something that it is not. I think when Cassie is talking to him she leaves upset when he tells her what is really going on. Only in shock that he let it get to that point and it makes her question their relationship. A new threat to me is good. Sure it is just like when Cassie was working for Luc, but Charles drove them together. She was all heartbroken when he broke up with her and she only started seeing Luc because she needed to know if she was over Charles. In this case, Charles and Cassie are meant to be. Her mother says she is a little young to be committing like this, but what age do you have to be before you know that your love is real. What age were her parents when they got together. If they are still willing to pursue their dreams of art and make a relationship work then that is a love of a lifetime.
I think we should wait and see what happens before we start questioning Charles and Cassie's love. Lincoln Heights' promos are always misleading and I wouldn't be surprised if the actual scene has Sabrina about to kiss Charles before he pushes her away and tells her that he has a girlfriend and she is married.

I absolutely agree! Chassie is the love of a lifetime b/c they survive so much together. LH is the most awesome show! Season 3 is the best yet and boy have they nailed it with each episode for ALL of the characters. Whoever does their promotions & marketing is fantastic b/c the promos/previews are sometimes purposely misleading. They have definitely captured our attention and that's why we watch. Believe me, the previews had me in shock too. However, the previews were supposed to make us feel that way but in the end we won't know until we actually see the episode and I do believe a lifetime love will win in the end.
yeah...the story is the similar...but that doesnt mean that doesnt mean that chassie isnt the love of a lifetime(just cuz a similar thing is happening/some characters are gone...doesnt mean it isnt the love of a lifetime) and even though a similar thing is happening I...i still am very interested and am far from bored. If its boring you, then stop watching =]

And miss the possibility of seeing Dr. Hottie? No siree bob. Besides, Jenn and Eddie still have interesting stories. Didn't you see the clip with Eddie? Looks good. All I can do is pray that Cassie's dignity remains intact.

But why are their challenges always the same thing--a third party? I expected something fresh this season to make up for Charles pushing Cassie away last season, but instead I find myself watching the same story again. Only this time, he has a willful wandering eye. A challenge is watching him work through the demons of his past with his stepdad and trying to articulate that to Cassie, not him ogling an older woman in her bra and panty. What happened to Charles' friends? The guys at the shop? They were funny and helped to ground Charles. There are ways to keep a relationship interesting rather than keep introducing a third party. It gets old. That's a sign of laziness on the part of creativity. I actually liked the Internet story because at least it was current, believable and different. And it gave them conflict because how they were viewing it from different perspectives: guy versus gal. I thought the stepdad story was interesting too in the way it affected Chassie's relationship and added background for Charles. It also gave Charles a little edge. I don't expect Chassie to stay happy. Heck, I love it when they argue just as much as when they make up. But this constant repetition is what's boring me. Sorry, don't mean to sound so annoyed. But I do feel like I saw this story already.
Now, if that old woman is sexually harrassing Charles and he is keeping it from Cassie out of shame and possibly self-loathing (due to his past dealings with Mac), we've got something fresh and interesting conflict with Chassie. If not, then I've seen this before.
firtst of all the love of a life time doesnt mean the relationship is going to be perfect but that they can make it through any situation that they face

they are a love of a lifetime because they aren't afraid to be themselves around each other. Cassie Sutton is Cassie Sutton, Charles Antoni is Charles Antoni. they make their relationship work even if times are really hard. together they make a couple that is pure love and 100% real. they aren't fake and the feelings are there. that is a love of a lifetime. the definition is just the strength and love and commitment two people have for each other and are willing to go through anything to make it work.
also just to let you know if you feel like this is season 2 again then go back and watch the epi's and compare them. the storyline might be realitively the same but the details that make up the epi's are totally different. if your still not satisfied stop watching! not tryin to be harsh but...

i understand wht the author of this post is saying charles was a [filtered word] bag in the last epiode i mean at the resturant the woman was praticly feeding charles and he is angry with her b/c cassie showed up it makes no since unless he is hidding his attaction towards his boss
he should have told cassie about the lunch i mean a real man would have invited or offered cassie to go either he is infatuated by his boss n doesnt want cassie to kno (which what i believe) or he is just being dumb, not thinking and selfish

A love of a lifetime isnt when your relationship is perfect and has no problems...that could NEVER exist...a love of a lifetime means both of you can get through all of lifes real challenges and still love eachother unconditionally

Because in your entire lifetime...you won't see a couple that truly love eachother like charles and cassie. If they were happy, la, la, la all the time...this relationship would be so unrealistic and boring. All these things that challenge chassie just make the relationship more real. And even through all these challenges charles and cassie end up together, and closer than ever....thats why its a love of a lifetime....
