Yes. Even in real life, gymnasts have come back from "Career-Ending Injuries." It's happened so often in Real Life that it certainly wouldn't be out of the realm of reason for a fictionalized TV show and I can't imagine them writing Payson out of the show.

The next season should start in January.

I think Payson will definitely try to get back into gymnastics, and with this being a TV drama instead of real life, she probably will succeed. I myself don't think she should, because firstly it's dangerous, and secondly a break from gymnastics might be good for her, so she can see that gymnastics is not the only thing in the world.

I doubt it. Her parents may have given into some things (ie Cortisone during the invitational), but thery're normal people, first and foremost. I think, even though Payson was phenomenal and Kim is the manager of The Rock, they'll encourage her to pursue other things. And I bet they encourage Becca to focus and make her way to Nationals!
